North Riding Gundog Club

Breed: Spaniel (Sussex)
North Riding Gundog Club 24th August 2024 Thank you to the secretary and the committee for inviting me to judge and for organising such a well run show. Thanks also must go to my steward who kept the ring running smoothly in the middle of a deluge of almost biblical proportions. Finally thank you to the exhibitors who took the time to enter under me, especially with the increasing costs of fuel etc. Spaniel (English Springer) Puppy (0)(0) Junior (1)(1a) Graduate (0)(0) Open (1)(1a) Spaniel (Welsh Springer) Puppy (3)(1a) 1.Graham’s Nyliram Born This Way Lovely exuberant young male. Excellent bone and substance, with a beautiful head and dark eye. Moved very well with drive when he eventually settle. BPIB, RBOB, was delighted to see him go RBPIS. 2. Graham’s Nyliram Edge of Glory Another promising young boy, who is litter brother to the first placed dog. Very similar in construction and movement but not quite as mature as the class winner. Junior (1)(1a) Graduate (0)(0) Open(1)(0) 1. Graham’s SH CH Nyliram The Moth Catcher JW Was a pleasure to go over this beautiful three year old girl. Lovely head with melting expression. Well angulated with a good spring of rib and well developed inner thigh. She moved around the ring effortlessly, maintaining her top line. BOB I was pleased to see her make the cut for BIS. Spaniel (Clumber) Puppy (0)(0) Graduate (1)(0) 1. Pickering’s Wymeswold Verdejo at Greencourt (IMP NLD) Very nice three year old girl, lovely head with nice square muzzle. Strong shoulders and well muscled balanced body with a good spring of ribs. Moved well with drive. BOB Open (1)(1a) Spaniel (Sussex) Puppy (2)(0) 1. Alderson’s Stormacre Tiny Dancer with Meggamooch Very smart young dog. Nice eyes with soft expression. Well boned with nice sloping shoulders and deep well developed chest. Moved really well around the ring with the distinctive Sussex roll. BP, RBOB 2. Alderson’s Meggamooch Yesterday Very difficult decision as a another promising puppy from the same kennels. Well boned, with a lovely head and substance. Very similar to the first placed dog but obviously less mature due to the age difference. I suspect both dogs will swap places over their show career. Graduate (1)(0) 1. Alderson’s Stormacre Tiny Dancer with Meggamooch Open (2)(1a) 1. Alderson’s Meggamooch Winterfell Very pretty feminine 4 year old girl. Lovely well balanced head. Nice strong neck with good bone and substance. Moved very well, true fore and aft. BOB Spaniel (Field) Jacquie Howard
