Many thanks to the officers and committee for the kind invitation to judge Best in Show at this lovely traditional Show held in conjunction with the Agricultural Show. Thank you to all the exhibitors for braving the inclement weather. A special mention to my stewards for their help and entertainment throughout the day.

AV Pastoral Imported Breed Register Pastoral 

Open - 

1.Clancy & Goldborough Hit Me Od Bijelih Andela of Whiteshire(IMP HRV) White Swiss Shepherd, 3 year old substantial male Masculine head with high set ears of correct shape. Medium brown eye. Correct dentition. Strong neck into a level backline giving a well balanced profile. Moved well.

Puppy 

1.Ingham Paluka Bali Feminine girl of 10 and half months. Excellent breed type with lovely dark eye , correct ear size and set correct dentition. Excellent body proportions, excellent front and feet Strong neck with level backline into a sloping croup of correct length. Tail of correct length and carried well. Movement was sound, showing good reach. Best Puppy 

2.Johnson Kastina Isabella Another lovely 10 mth baby of larger build. Excellent head with medium brown eye & well placed ears. Correct dentition. Well balanced in profile with good angles. Long bushy tail. Movement sound but erratic.

Post Graduate 

1. Askham & Ranshaw Reyakosa Dakota Feminine female of 2 years, pleasing head and expression with lovely dark eye. Correct dentition. Her overall proportions are good but I would prefer slightly more of her. She won this class the minute she moved, sound movement with excellent reach and drive.

2. Cave Ballynabola Ria at Casiann Female of 6 years defying her age.Feminine head with good eye colour. Well placed ears with good scissor bite. Strong neck Level topline. Good croup . Movement sound.

1.Forman Kintaro Grace Kelly with Suzdans

Excellent female of 4 years that is so balanced. Strong feminine head with dark eye, correct medium ear and carriage 

Wedge shape muzzle of correct proportions and good dentition. Her front assembly has adequate fore chest and ample oval bone. A level topline into a sloping croup. Movement is effortless showing reach and drive . Best of Breed. PG2

2. Cave Casiann Atlas, 4 year old long coat male with amenable temperament. Lovely boy with masculine head, dark eye and fabulous expression.

Good mouth. Overall proportions are good. Ample bone. Standing on good feet Excellent coat Moved well.

Junior

1. Weightman Debbeacol It's Now or Never ,Youngster of 15 mths with a feminine head with correct eye giving a beautiful expression. Well placed ears Correct scissor bite. Excellent front with good feet.

Level topline but I would prefer slightly more length. Good angles fore and aft. Moved and presented well.

Post Graduate 

1. Jenkinson Irisaddition Victorious with Ellishar, I judged this girl as a puppy and she has fulfilled that initial promise.

Now 20 mths she is now a feminine well balanced young adult with a feminine.head eyes of correct colour and shape. In profile she has adequate fore chest a moderate neck into a level backline with a strong loin. Well muscled rear. Tail carriage has improved since puppy hood and she moved well. Best of Breed PG3

1. Perkins Saskyadu You're So Magical Slate female of 8 and half years now in her prime. Larger build but still maintains femininity. Breed typical head with good bite. Excellent body proportions with good angles which gives a well balanced profile. Good feet. Moved well but has tendency to raise her tail.

1. Garvey & Walker New Kid on the Block with Melneg Young man of 2 years, lovely masculine head with medium brown eye and correctly placed tipped ears. Good body proportions with tight feet. On the move he has a tendency to pace and unfortunately carries his tail too high.

1. Garvey Chikaramor Kynda Classy with Melneg Nine year-old veteran showing the youngster how it's done today. Feminine head with dark eye, correct ears. Good bite. Her overall condition is excellent although her topline is just beginning to show her years. Her rear quarters are well muscled . She moved out well with correct tail carriage. Best of Breed.

Australian Shepherd 

Junior 

1. Brown Shepwood Gazing at Clouds Blue merle female of almost 17 months. Excellent breed type with feminine head well set triangular ears . Correct eye in shape and colour giving a pleasing expression. Good bite. Excellent proportions with good angles giving a level topline which she retains on the move. Tight feet. Best of Breed. PG4

2. Wilson & Gibbons Wispafete's Give us a Twirl. Youngster at just 12 months and giving too much away to the winner as she needs time to develop. Feminine head with good ear/eye but just needs to strengthen. Good bite. Well balanced in her conformation with a level backline and good feet. Moved and handled well.

1. McKinnon Dialynne Enzo Farrari Very handsome red tri male of 6 years. Excellent masculine head with pleasing expression. Substantial boy with ample bone and correct body proportions. Unfortunately his movement let him down today as he tended to lack drive.

Puppy

1. Foster Fostebrie Hope's Sensation, Briard. Young female that catches the eye as she enters the ring. 8 months old and oozes quality . Breed typical head with lovely dark eye. Excellent front into a level topline. Well angled front and rear. Dew claws present. She moves in harmony with her handler retaining her balance. 2. Ferguson Mellowdee Soul Man with Exelby O.E.S Puppy of 10months with masculine head correct eye and ear. Square muzzle and correct bite. Short coupled with ample bone. Excellent coat.

Unfortunately gunfire from the neighbouring agricultural show unnerved the youngster but his movement was sound once he settled.

Junior 

1. Boyle Timeless Destiny Star Actis over Barrenclough Rough Collie Female of 13 months with the most feminine head, Wedge shaped with parallel planes. Eyes of correct size and shape obliquely set. Tipped ears. Scissors bite. Well balanced in profile with good angles fore and aft. Excellent coat. Moved well with tail carried correctly.

Post Graduate 

1. Thomas Chesmes Kutya Magyar Gruff at Mournebrake Black Hungarian Puli of 2 years in full corded coat. Masculine head with dark eye and correct dentition . Standing square on good feet. Well balanced in profile . Moved well when settled.

2. Russell Elvinville Hugo Boss Briard. Mature male of 6 and half years with much to like. Breed typical head with dark eye . Excellent conformation with a straight front and good angles. Dew claws present. Tail of correct length and carriage . Moved well.

3. Thomas Chesmes Kutya Magyar Hettie at Mournebrake Hungarian Puli

1. Wescott-Smith Vivienne de L'Arene Noire at Rozimba Briard of 22 months. Black female of excellent breed type retaining femininity with ample bone. Lovely head with dark eye and square muzzle .Correct scissor bite. Strong arched neck into a level backline. Good angles fore and aft. Double dewclaws present. Standing on good feet, she excelled on the move.

2. Foster Swiss CH Fostebrie Just Unique JW OSW Quality fawn male of 3 years presented in excellent order. Masculine head with strong square muzzle. Adequate neck into a level backline Balanced with good bone. Excellent coat.

Dew claws present. Moved well. Just preferred the winners overall conformation.

1. Weightman Debbeacol Poetry in Motion Bearded Collie Female of 10 years in outstanding condition for her age. Feminine head with dark eye and correct ear. Excellent dentition with scissor bite.

Level backline of correct length with deep chest . Good feet. Moved and presented well.

2 Kearnan & Wilson IR/NL/BE/HR/LX/INT CH Clynalwins Nukon German Shepherd Dog, Large male of 7 years, Masculine head with correct eye shape & colour. Well placed ears. Good dentition. Pleasing proportions with a strong backline into a good croup. Would prefer tidier feet. Moved well on unforgiving ground

Newfoundland 

Post Graduate 

1. Russell Zentaur Fizzical Damage, Substantial black male of 2 and half years . Masculine head of square proportions Dark eye giving super expression. Good mouth . Overall proportions well balanced. Ample bone.

Movement was sound showing the correct Newfoundland gait but the overall picture was spoilt by his tail being carried too high Best of Breed.

1. Perfitt Samjoe Hollow Moon VW Alaskan Malamute of almost 11 years who defies his years , Excellent breed type oozing masculinity.His overall condition is very pleasing , correct proportions standing on good feet. Moved well with good tail.

2. Boyle's Modolana Butterfly Blue over Barrenclough Lovely lady of 10 and half years . Feminine head with parallel planes. Eyes of correct colour and shape Good ears. Balanced in profile. Good tail carriage.Her movement as expected on her later years.

2. Proudler Kimapa Kwackers Kwitch Cocker spaniel very attractive 8 month old female. Feminine with pleasing expression Good eye and ear . Excellent in profile with good front. Movement erratic but did enough to show her soundness.

1. Wallington Ferndel Renzo at Rovinjdal Welsh Springer Spaniel Young eye catching male just out of puppy. Good breed type with balanced proportions. He won this class on the move showing an excellent gait.

2. Proudler Kimapa Kwackers Kalon Cocker spaniel Litter brother to second in previous class and more sensible than his sister. Physically they share the same attributes and the same comments apply although his movement was easier to assess.

1. Cox Kimapa Kune Kinch Cocker spaniel rising 3 years. Sweet girlie with lovely expression overall well balanced giving a lovely shape in profile. Tail carried well Her movement was effortless.

1. Fitton Nosregor Cassieopia at Shelayne German Spitz An ultimate show girl of 3 years Feminine with a lovely dark eye and good earset Correct bite . Well proportioned with good tail. Moved well.

2. Arden Annavah Star Above Madika Beagle of excellent breed type well balanced in profile . Sound and purposeful movement.
