Pleasure to judge at this welcoming well run show. I am grateful to all the exhibitors who turned up despite the storms and flooding the day before. Thank you. Many thanks to my excellent steward who worked hard all day.

Italian Greyhound

PG. 1 Artemis Wild Card of Regallust. B/W Young raw dog but of excellent type. Pleasing head which is clean and of nice proportions. Correct length of neck. Nice front assembly and good depth of chest. Well ribbed back. Nice hind angulation. Moved well although if I was to be critical would like a fraction move lift in front.

Open. 1. Artemis Aces High Of Regallust. R/W young male that I was very pleased to have today. His is of lovely type in my opinion and has a lovely overall outline. This young dog is more mature than his kennelmate. He is another with a lovely correct lean head and of good length. Excellent length of neck into correct shoulder placement. Good fine strong bone and correct hare foot. Good depth of chest which is not too wide. Nicely arched topline which is not extreme. Good hind angulation. Moved very well with good lift and without any sign of a hackney. BOB. Later in the day I couldn’t deny him in the adult group. Group 1 and Puppy Group 1. As I submit this critique I hear he has won his first CC and BOB at UK Toy. Well done!

Miniature Pinscher

PG. 1 Kaypin Happy And You Know it. Two year old red male. Nice for size. Pleasing head and expression. Correct dark eye, well set ears although could be a fraction smaller for preference. Lovely neck into well placed shoulders. Good front with good well developed fore chest. Square in overall proportions. Topline could be better. Nice hind quarters. Moved well.

Open Ch Vardenais Lumos Jaegerson The Edge. Veteran red dog. Immediately impressed for his size and very typical outline with slight slope of topline. Pleasing quality head of desired proportions. Correct length of neck into well sloped shoulder placement. Good bone and nice tight foot. Well ribbed up. Correct hind angulation. Moved well despite his age. BOB. 2. Jaegerson The Edge. Very nice B/T who was unlucky to meet one. Another that is good for size and overall shape with the desired topline. Nice head shape and good strong jaw. Good dark eye. Not using his ears today. Good front with decent bone. Well ribbed up. Well muscled up behind. Moved well with typical hackney gait.

Chinese Crested

Special Yearling. 1. Penemunde Asia. Flashy young Crested. Very nice shape and good for size. Pleasing head and expression. Correct low set ear. Good neck and shoulder. Medium in body with a good depth of chest. Well rounded behind with good hind angulation. Well carried and well plumed tail. Moved very well in both directions. BOB

Open. 1. Jean Dark Zimzallabim At Gemadar (IMP SWE). Different in type to 1. Cobbier. Another with a nice overall make and shape. A nice mover with super front extension and drive. Just not as clean in back skull as 1 and would prefer a slightly smaller eye for preference.

AVNSC Toy

These three classes held some very good specimens. Some close decisions.

Junior. 1. Marlukney’s Lady On Red at Aacharmoe. Yorkshire Terrier. I liked this young YT, Is quality through. Has a super head with a super eye. Lovely small well-placed ears. Nice shoulder placement, correct front, good rib. Good HQ, which are correctly angulated. Coat is of lovely colour and of correct texture. A fraction bum high or would have troubled the winners of the more mature classes. 2. Darkle Rascal Rodders. Affenpinscher. Super compact young dog with a quality head that can be nothing other than an Affenpinscher. Good neck and shoulder. Correct body proportions. Hind quarters correctly angulated for the breed. A fraction too close behind but nice front action. 3. Arkadian Alfredo Ferrari.

PG. 1. Rydellan’s Rogue Prince B/T Griffon. Very nice for type. Super body which is really cobby. Very nice head and expression, with good upturn and nice open nostril. Good shoulder placement. Nice level topline and good tailset. Well angulated behind. Moved with drive although could be a fraction tidier in front. In super jacket which was well presented. 2. Devonia’s Anzi.o Bolognese. Pleasing for size and overall shape. Nice head and expression with good pigment. Correct coat which was not over presented. Moved well. 3. Lyckalotte Holly at Arkadian

Open. 1. Beauborne Nadal at Topmead. R/R Griffon Bruxellois. Very nice red rough out of a bitch I admired. Lots to like about this male. Super large broad skull, wide strong muzzle with good upturn. Good eye and lovely small ear. Good neck into well placed shoulder. Cobby dog of good overall shape. Good deep chest. Level topline and good tailset. Moved well. 2. Ch Coutureabull Mr Musion. Affenpinscher. Super Affenpinscher. On inspection it is very clear why this dog holds his title. Excellent head and expression. Well-made throughout with little to dislike. Correct overall proportions Good topline and tailset. Moved well, just hadn’t grown back his coat following a pre-Crufts strip which cost him higher honours 3. Murtagh The Macho. Yorkshire Terrier.

AVNSC Import.

Open. 1. Russiadream Frodo Strudel. B/T Russian Toy. Nice for size and overall outline. Pleasing head. Nice topline and tail set. Correct body proportions. In full bloom and good condition. Needs to settle on the move and to be a little tidier behind.

AV Toy

Very good head of nice proportions and has that typical ‘apple domed’ skull. Good neck and shoulder. Pleasing front. Correct topline and super tail set and carriage. Nice for bone. Correct feet. Moved well. I liked this young dog who sadly just let himself down at the crucial moment. 3. Alpapups Bambino

Veteran. Super class. 1. Ch Witchstone Not Apache On Me For Peopleton VW. ETT. I thought this was a lovely ETT male who defies his 9 years. Lovely long lean head with super dark well placed eyes which together with correctly shaped ears gives a good expression. Long neck into good shoulders. Good deep chest. Super topline which is held on the move, a credit at this age. Nice hindquarters. Good ciolour with no breach. Moved very well 2. Ch Vardenais Lumos. Min Pin. BOB earlier in the day under me. 3. Corbieanne Charlotte’s CKCS
