Afghan Hounds

Puppy.1 Prestigious How Will I Know. Quality young 11 month old brindle bitch who appealed for her overall shape and style. Pleasing head of good length, good strength to jaw. Would prefer her eye set a fraction more oblique. Good neck into well placed shoulders. Correct length of forearm allowing for correct front assembly. Good bone and nice size foot. Decent topline. Correct croup. Typical action although would prefer her to carry her tail a fraction higher which I am sure she will when she builds in confidence. Moved soundly. BP and BOB.

PG.1. Nightwind You’re My Kind Of Crazy. Nice B/S bitch. Pleasing head and expression. Head of good length and with no lacking of strength. A little short in upper arm and upright in shoulder which affected her front reach. Good topline and croup. Nice overall size and shape. Good bone and feet for a bitch. In excellent coat and condition.

Open.1. Prestigious How Will I Know. 2. Absolute Afghans Djibouti At Karnak JW (IMP Nor). Gold dog. All male Afghan with many attributes. Correct size and shape. Pleasing head and expression although would prefer him a little cleaner in back skull for preference. Good long neck into well placed long sloping shoulders. Well filled front. Good legs and feet. Nice topline and croup, not overdone behind. Moved well. Carrying a fraction too much weight today.

Basenjis

PG. 1. Catuma Xuta Tabangwa. Tri Bitch. Nice for size and shape. Pleasing head of correct proportions and well chiselled. Would prefer a little more wrinkle to complete the expression. Nice dark eye. Ears a little larger than optimum. Good neck into decent shoulder. Nice bone and feet. Well sprung deep ribs. Falls away at croup and has low tail set which detracts from her overall look. Moved well with super reach in front.

Open. Difficult class to sort out. 1 Mombatongaempress Eugenie of Cooperland JW. Tri. Nice size. Head of correct proportions, which is clean in backskull and nicely chiselled. Dark eye of correct shape. Another I would prefer a fraction more wrinkle to complete the expression. Excellent front assembly. Nice bone and feet. Nice level topline although could be a fraction shorter. Well angulated behind. Moved ok. 2 Shyllar Rapt in Gold. Another quality basenji. Scored in head and expression. Nice size and shape. Tail could be tighter. Not so settled on the move as 1.

Miniature Schnauzers.

Puppy. Quality class of three nice P/S male puppies. 1 Monchelsea Ticket To Ride. Typey young P/S male. Super quality head that won him this class. Correct head shape and proportions. Well placed ears although they need to settle but he used them well when attracted. Correct length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good forechest with prominent sternum. Well ribbed up and well sprung. Nice hind angulation. Moved very well in both directions. In super harsh jacket and leg furnishings which were put down in A1 condition. Gryselda Step In Time. Another nice young pup that should do well. Many of the attributes of 1 apply here also. Nice head and expression and neat well used ears. Good neck and shoulder. Well ribbed up and short in loin. Good HQ. Moved very well with good drive from behind. Just would prefer a little harsher leg furnishings and a fraction wider in the front as compared to 1. 3. Oldbashurst Ko Phi Phi

PG. 1. Marnimica Seven Wonders. Nice PS. Nice for size and typical outline. Pleasing quality head of the desired shape and length. Good eye and ear. Correct front assembly. Short with good topline and the best tail set and carriage of the day. In good jacket. Moved well with good reach and good drive from the rear.

Open. 1. Silversocks Synchronised at Marnimica. Another quality PS and from the same kennel as the winner of PG. Another very typical in outline and good for size. Pleasing head and expression. Good neck and shoulder. Nice topline and tail set. Correct and moderate hind angulation. Moved well in front although could be a little more positive behind. In super condition and trim.

French Bulldogs. Open. 1. Warson’s Flash Gordon. Black male. Very typy head of correct overall proportions. Clearly defined muzzle with good open nostril. Drak round eye of correct size and well-shaped and well set ear. Good front. Pleasing and not overdone correct topline. Ok hind angulation but could be more muscled up. Clean in front but not so good behind, some stronger muscle might help in this regard.

Samoyed.

Open. 1. Vandreem Imperial Breeze Over Berezniki. Young 19 month old male. Very mature for his age. Good for size. Very pleasing head piece with good breadth to skull and correct wedge shape. Lovely dark eye which is correctly set and together with his ear placement and super pigmentation affords him the desired expression. Strong neck into well placed shoulders Good depth to chest. Super bone and long well spread foot. Correct tail set. Moved well. 2. Tiksi Forget Me Not. Another very typical Samoyed. Three and a half year old bitch. Very feminine and of good type. Typical head and expression and lovely pigment. Well made throughout. Good topline and tail set. Nice bone and correct foot. Lovely hind quarters. Moved very well. Just would prefer a fraction more length of leg for overall balance.

AVNSC Hound.

Puppy. Headed by Greyhound litter mates 1 Boughton Back in Time. 7 month old quality brindle bitch. Quality head of good length and with a powerful jaw, correct dark eye which is well placed. Lovely long elegant neck into well placed shoulders. Good length of leg and of good bone for a bitch. Deep and well sprung. Correct topline. Well angulated behind and pleasingly not over angulated. Very light on her feet with lovely front stride and well powered from behind. 2. Boughton Back In Style. Litter sister to 1 and similarly very typey. Very similar to 1 with not much between them, just not helping her handler today which cost her higher honours and just preferred the foreface of 1 Should do well when she settles. 3. Kiromol Reckon Im Hot

PG. 1. Boughton Back For Good. 7 month old Greyhound female. I really liked this litter sister to my winners in puppy. A little more mature and settled than her siblings she is a very nice prospect. Very pleasing head of correct proportions and good dark eye. Overall, her silhouette is typically greyhound, with a lovely topline. Moderate and well-muscled hindquarters. Moved very well fore and aft. Second in the puppy group, where she gave her sympathetic handler a harder time than in this class. 2. Switherland Gabriella At Stookewood. Nicely headed basset bitch. Is a quality specimen and nice for overall size and type. I would like a fraction more keel of this bitch and a slightly stronger topline. Moved well. 3. Kiromol Reckon Im Hot

Open. 1. Kindeace Texas Tornado At Damai. Standard long who was a stand out winner in this class. Lovely type. Pleasing quality head with good length and of required proportions. Good strength of jaw. If I am to be critical I would like a fraction less roundness to the eye. Good length of neck and shoulder. Correct front assembly and correct keel. Lovely bone and feet which are correctly place. Body of good proportions with good ground clearance. Nice topline and correct tailset and carriage. Moved very well in the class and was very precise, I am sure her would have figured in my group placing but unfortunately went lame. 2. Switherland Final Chase at Stookewood. R/W Basset. Pleasing head and expression, correct head planes, well set leathers of correct length. Not overdone in anyway. Good body proportions and enough ground clearance. Would prefer hocks let down more. Moved ok.

AV Hound.

This was a lovely class that anyone at an open show would be delighted to have. Puppy. 1. Nagshall Di Maria. I fell for this lovely puppy as soon as I saw her. This is a quality cream mini L/H. Pleasing head and expression. Correct head proportions. Well set ears. Lovely dark eye which is correctly set. Decent neck and shoulder into a level topline. Enough brisket. Good bone and lovely tight feet. Enough ground clearance. Moved well fore and aft, just. I liked her a lot. In super hard condition and in excellent jacket. Well put down. Best AV Puppy. Came in for Puppy group later in the day and although just flagging at the end, her quality and overall type gave her the puppy group. A Nice prospect. 2 Boughton Back on Track Brindle Greyhound male who is another nice prospect. He is a quality hound with good breed type. He is of good size and nice in his overall proportions and shape. Nice head and expression. Super neck into well set shoulders. Decent bone and lovely feet. Correct topline and not over angulated. Lovely side gait just needs to settle in front. 3. Boughton Back on Top

PG. 1. Nagshall The Odd Excuse. Cream mini LH Dachshund. 14 month old bitch of lovely breed type. Super head of good length and strength without any loss of femininity. Lovely dark eyes which are correctly set obliquely and contrast well with her coat colour. Good length of neck into well placed shoulders. Good front assembly and well boned forelegs. Nice feet. Good keel. Pleasing overall proportions and enough ground clearance. Nice topline. Well muscled and nicely angulated rear. Moved well retaining her topline and with good rear drive. In A1 condition. I liked her very much. BOB in the breed classes under breed judge, I subsequently saw this bitch later in the group. I found nothing to put over her in the adult group which she won. 2. Boughton Back To The Future. Quality greyhound who appealed for overall type. Lovely size and nice overall shape. Well made with a pleasing topline. Good bone and feet. Moved well just needs to learn her job, when assessed however her movement is sound. 3. Nightwind You’re My Kind Of Crazy. Afghan Hound.

AV Import Hound.

1. Stonemartin Bron. Azawakh. Whilst in no way a breed specialist I really liked this young hound. Certainly gives the impression of lean elegance. A very raw young bitch who needs to mature, she has a lovely head which is lean and well chiselled. Fine correctly shaped ears which are carried well. I would prefer a slightly more oblique eye to be critical. Good neck into well placed shoulders. High withers and correct level topline with slight rise. Good length of leg. Well tucked up. Moved well behind although needs to settle in front. Did enough for Group 4.
