1. Miller’s Cafotaliena Heart of A Hero – 7month old male who impressed, particularly in profile movement. Pleasing head, very good bone throughout, excellent lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Well angulated rear. True coming and going and presented in good order. BPIB

1. Miller’s Liric Just The Ticket – 5yr old male with an attractive head, good length of neck, adequate shoulder angulation, deep well sprung ribs. Tail a little high set. Moved accurately with good reach and drive. BOB

2. Millar’s Yennadon Calvay JW ShCEX OSW – 5 yr old male who was in excellent coat and condition and looked a picture stacked. Slightly broader in head than 1. Good shoulder angulation, well ribbed back. Unfortunately, a little reluctant on the move today which cost him the class.

1. Tibbs’ Raigmore Faith In The Future – 17month B&W bitch with a lovely head and dark eye. Lengthy neck leading into good shoulders. Well boned. Ribbing adequate. Balanced rear angulation. Moved well but taking her a little faster would show off her reach and drive more. BOB

Balanced rear angulation. Moved well when settled but at times lifting front legs a bit too much. BOB & BPIB

1. Vallance’s Ennydloc Yorkshire Liaison to Rowanmyle – 17 month Blue Belton dog with a fabulous temperament. In super coat and condition. Good head with attractive expression. Long neck, good angles both fore and aft. Moved well when settled.

Post Graduate – 2 entries

1. Thomson’s Maursett Morganite For Caspellwynd – 3yr old Tri with a good front assembly and excellent rear. Good body with ribbing well back. Moved soundly showing good reach and drive.

2. Bryson’s Dalreavoch Highland Reel – 3yr old blue belton dog who was more moderate in angulation than 1. Very full of himself which didn’t help him on the move but when settled moved with good width and drive from behind.

1. Thomson’s Bushbane Rathlin Caspellwynd – 3yr old tri dog with a masculine head. Good length of neck leading into well angulated shoulders and a good return of upper arm. Balanced rear. Correct proportions in body and moved soundly with good reach and drive. BOB

2. Vallance’s Rowanmyle Was A Skellum ShCEX – 3yr blue belton male who was slightly finer in head than 1, good length of neck, good shoulder but would prefer a longer upper arm. Lightly narrow on the move going away but showed good profile movement.

Retriever (Labrador)

1. Thomson’s Strathunker Zephyr – 7 month black dog with a lovely head and expression, strong neck, compact body with good ribbing. Balanced angulation both fore and aft, good tail set and short hocks. Moved well. BPIB

2. Burns’ Bonnieburns Blue Print – 7 month black bitch again with a lovely head and melting expression. Slightly longer in body than 1, well angulated both fore and aft. Moved soundly but preferred the drive of 1st.

1. Hardy’s Gighty Burn Echo – 3yr old yellow of working type, finer all through but has an excellent length of neck leading into very good shoulders. Would prefer more spring of rib. Well angulated rear. In hard condition which showed in her free and active movement.

Balanced angulation both fore and aft. Sound on the move both coming and going with plenty of reach and drive. BPIB

1. Williamson’s Hoedun Joy Ride to Sandti – Attractive bitch in excellent coat and condition. Attractive head, lengthy neck leading into well angulated shoulders, good ribbing, balanced rear. Move well with good reach and drive.

2. Varty-Lindsay’s Levliann Big Bang – 16-month-old male at the gangly stage but showing a lot of promise. Good type, well angulated both fore and aft. Moved well.

1. Macpherson’s Rachanmill Colombo – Really liked this attractive male in excellent coat and condition. Good head and length of neck leading into excellent shoulders. Good ribbing extending well back. Balanced rear which he used to well on the move. Looked a picture both stacked and on the move. BOB and Gundog Group 1

2. Thorpe’s Montreathmnt Hotlips – 6yr old attractive bitch with a racy outline. Good shoulders but could use more length to upper arm. Good rear angulation. Moved well covering the ground.

1. Murray’s Muireatai Miracle of Dreams – Retriever (Chesapeake Bay) – Good type with a pleasing head, good length of neck, well boned. Compact body with correct top and underline. Tail a little high set. Moved well.

2. Duff’s Overbore League of Their Own – Retriever (Curly Coated) – Male with a strong head that could use more length to foreface to balance. Well angulated fore and aft. Correct body proportions. Moved soundly. In excellent coat and condition.

Gundog Group

What a lovely group to judge with many excellent contenders which were out of the placings.

1 – Rachanmill Colombo - Retriever (Flat Coated) – Loved this boy in the breed and he stepped up a gear in the bigger ring. Congratulations.

2 – McDonald’s Donurie’s Russian Roulette (AI) - Hungarian Vizsla – Really lovely bitch who looked at picture stacked and on the move where she powered round the ring showing excellent free movement. Presented in hard condition.

3 – Logie’s Graff III Vom Busshof at Albadhu - Large Munsterlander at the top end of puppy but so well made and so sound for a puppy. Very attractive dog with an excellent head, powerfully built with good angulation. I am sure this young dog will go on to win a lot more. Sympathetically handled to get the best out of him.

4 – Wallis’ Blue Gemstone Katrina At Camellis - Retriever (Golden) – Lovely dog who was showing his heart out, looked a picture stacked and covered the ground with ease on the move. Presented in excellent coat and condition.
