Junior Bulldog Club
Thank you to the committee of the Junior Bulldog Club for inviting me to judge their open show held in a spacious venue with an excellent atmosphere. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I was very well looked after by all committee and the food was delicious! A wonderful club and should be congratulated for putting on a great show.
MPD
1. Cradock’s Rosebull Show Stopper at Suluma, 7 months old quality white male with brindle markings. Lovely wide, flat skull with rose ears correctly placed. Eyes are dark and clear and a nose rope not impeding on the nose. Excellent upsweep with a wide jaw giving the correct sour expression. Good width to front with deep brisket. Excellent bone and tight feet. Good length of neck with tacked on shoulders and barrel rib. Correct topline held on the move. Well muscled hind quarters with ok tail. Correct coming and going. Moved and handled well.
2. Cuming & O’Shea’s Eastenders Kenny Rogers, 6 month old red and white puppy. Smaller type to 1. Finely wrinkled smaller skull with nice dark, clear round eyes. Split nose roll with nice wide jaw. Tacked on shoulders down to enough bone and tight feet. Correct topline and enough rib for age, excellent tail and tail set, handled well.
Puppy Dog
1. Davies & George’s Avaword Tonto, Excellent well balanced red and white male, wide, flat skull with good length of foreface. Correct rosed ears well placed. Well-padded rounded cheeks, round clear dark eye set wide, lovely open nostrils with split nose roll. Excellent wide jaw and good upsweep. Deep brisket with good width of front, well off for bone with tight feet. Tacked on shoulder and good barrel rib, nice correct topline down to shapely hindquarters. Tail ok. Moved well coming and going, handled well. Was pleased to award him BPD and BPIS.
2. Peebles & Kirkwood’s Weebulls Parabellum, Another nice r/w male, with enough wrinkle, excellent length of skull, good width of foreface, neat rosed ears, clear dark eyes set wide, open nostrils, lovely wide jaw with excellent upsweep. Good deep brisket and correct width in front, excellent bone to tight feet, lovely length of neck, well ribbed, correct topline down to let down hocks. Correct tail and good tail set. Moved correct coming and going, moved and handled well, a nice well balanced puppy.
Junior Dog
1. Jimenez-Williams & Williams’ Fuegorox Splat My Fire Opal, Only boy in his class and giving his handler some hard work. r/w male, good width of skull, correct ear placement, eyes dark and clear, wide open nostrils, good width of foreface, good upsweep giving sour expression. Slightly narrow in front but good bone down to tight feet, correct tail and tail set, moved ok
Novice Dog
1. Cooper & Thorpe’s Hillplace Masterpiece, B/w male in excellent condition, flat skull of good length and enough wrinkle, ears slightly high but correctly rosed. Dark clear eyes and excellent open nostrils with split nose roll, good upsweep to ok jaw. Tacked on shoulders with enough bone and tight feet, good length of neck with correct topline, slightly long in body, well-muscled hindquarters, tail ok, moved and handled well
Post Graduate dog
1. Anscombe’s Blenhiemstar’s Talisman of Jraygon, Lovely clean headed r/w male, wide skull with good width of foreface. Well-padded cheeks, neat rose ears correctly placed, wide jaw with good turn, good length of neck, deep brisket with tacked on shoulders, enough bone and tight feet, would like a better topline and slightly long in loin, well-muscled hindquarters, correct tail, moved well coming and going, handled well.
Limit Dog
1. Freeman’s Testwood Total Eclipse, Flashy r/w male, nice head with wide flat skull, neat rose ears correctly placed. Good length of skull with enough wrinkle, split nose roll and open nostrils, well-padded foreface, good upsweep, deep barrel and tacked on shoulders giving width in front, well boned with nice tight feet, good length of neck down to correct topline and good spring of rib, well-muscled hindquarters and powerful on the move, moved correct coming and going, well handled. RBD
2. Cradock’s Kinlockbulls Cartier, Another nice r/w standard male, lovely head properties, correctly placed neat rosed ears, eyes dark wide apart, split nose roll, good and length of skull, excellent wide jaw with good upsweep, correct width in front with good bone and tight feet, shoulders tacked on, enough rib, correct tail, moved and handled well.
Open Dog
1. Davies’ Baalzebull Cupids Beau, quality r/w male not overdone in any way. I judged this dog as a puppy and he has matured very well. Wide flat skull with the right amount of wrinkle, good width of foreface with excellent length of skull. Ears correctly positioned and were nice thin rose shaped. Eyes dark and clear. Open nostrils. Wide jaw and lovely upsweep, excellent length of neck with tacked on shoulders down to good width in front, ample bone and tight feet, well barrelled rib with correct topline which is held on the move, slightly long in length but well balanced, very well angulated hindquarters, ideal tail, moved with ease coming and going, a very nice clean dog, handled well. I was pleased to award him BD, BOS and RBIS – I think he very pleased with his rosettes!
2. Anscombe’s Blenhiemstar’s Lancelot of Jraygon, large r/w male, enough wrinkle on a wide skull, good length of skull. Ears correctly placed, good width of foreface, split nose roll, would like more width of jaw, good length of neck down to tacked on shoulders. Good bone, nice barrel of rib coming in at the loin giving correct pear shape, correct straight tail, moved and handled well.
Veteran Bitch
1. George’s Ch Avaword Connie, a true champ indeed, in her golden years at 8.5 years old but no-one gave her the memo! Still loving her time in the ring, this r/w girl has a fabulous head, good width and length of skull, finely wrinkled, eyes still very much dark and clear, widest of jaws and excellent upsweep, correct width in front, shoulders tacked on and good bone, great barrel of rib and a correct topline, correct tail, a nice well balanced girl, moved with ease around the ring, handled well, a credit to her owners. Minor Puppy Bitch
1. Mayes’ Eastenders Brenda Lee at Pectus, A real baby at only just 6 months old, a petite r/w puppy not overdone in any way, neat rose ears correctly placed on a smaller skull, lovely dark clear round eyes, finely wrinkled, excellent width of jaw and good upsweep creating a lovely expression, good lenth of neck down to tacked on shoulders, enough bone and a correct width in front, tight feet, correct topline which she held on the move, slightly straight in rear angulation but good tail and nice tail set, moved her width in front, a nice well balanced puppy, handled well.
2. Davies’ Baalzebul Voluptas, Different type to 1 and still a real baby at 7 months old, excellent length of skull, ears rosed and placed low on a good width of skull, not heavily wrinkled, split nose roll, wide jaw with excellent upsweep, deep brisket, excellent bone, tacked on shoulders, good barrel of rib, shapely hindquarters, moved and handled well.
Puppy Bitch
1. Peebles & Kirkwood’s Weebullz Arkana, r/w 9 months old puppy, very well balanced, finely wrinkled with a good width of skull, ears correctly rosed and well placed, dark round eyes, wide open nostrils, excellent width of jaw with good upsweep, would like a little more neck, very deep brisket and good width in front, tacked on shoulders, excellent bone and nice tight feet, correct topline which she held on the move, good barrel of rib for a young dog this age, short in length, good angulation in hindquarters, straight tail, moved and handled well. 2. Davies & George’s Avaword Cocco, rich r/w 10 month old well balanced girl, excellent head properties and good length of skull, dark eyes, ears slightly high and not rosed spoiling the expression, rope nose roll not impeding her open nostrils, excellent wide jaw and excellent upsweep, good width in front and excellent bone, deep brisket, tacked on shoulders, correct rise over topline, nice straight tail, moved well coming and going.
Junior Bitch
1. Craddock’s Kinlockbull’s Chopard at Suluma, Beautiful r/w girl who looked good at every angle. Excellent skull, with good width and length, fantastic layback, well-padded cheeks, darkest of eyes very clear and wide apart, neat rose ears correctly placed, wide open nostrils, wide jaw with excellent upsweep, well boned, good width in front, tight feet, shoulders tacked on, well ribbed, pear shaped body, topline held on the move, excellent tail and set correctly, well-muscled hindquarters, very correct in movement coming and going, floated around the ring oozing quality, handled well. Pleased to award her BB and BIS. She has a great future and her owner will have a lot of fun with her!
2. Yorke’s Blenhiemstar Lucky Dip at Bullymaids, w/r girl with enough wrinkle on a flat skull, neat rosed ears, dark clear eyes, open nostrils, wide jaw, correct width in front, enough bone, tight feet, tacked on shoulders. Well-muscled hindquarters, moved well coming and going.
Novice Bitch
1. Hanley’s Blenhiemstar’s What Can I Say, standard r/w girl with good stubstance, wide flat skull with correctly rosed ears, open nostrils, good upsweep, lovely width in front, good bone, tight feet, deep brisket, tacked on shoulders, excellent barrel of rib, correct topline, well muscled hind quarters, ideal tail and correct tail set, well balanced girl with a lot to like, moved and handled well.
2. Smith’s Royaltudor Our Lady Marie Saintrosemil, W/r girl with good width of skull, eyes clear and dark, finely wrinkled, not overdone in anyway, good width and turn of jaw, good length of neck down to tacked on shoulders, deep brisket, enough bone, tight feet, good barrel of rib, little long in body, correct topline, straight tail, moved correctly coming and going.

1. James’ Testwood Hippy Chick for Boyattbull, Clean, well balanced flashy r/w bitch not overdone, flat skull, neat rosed ears set correctly, dark clear eyes. Split nose roll, excellent wide jaw, good upsweep, excellent length of neck, good width in front, enough bone, tight feet, good length of neck, good barrel of rib, correct topline, nice pear shape body, tail moves freely, moved and handled very well, pushed for top honours.
2. George’s Avaword Lillie, Different type to 1. r/w girl with good sour expression, good width of skull and foreface, correct ear placement and rose shaped, excellent open nostrils, good upsweep, good length of neck, deep brisket and wide front, tacked on shoulders, good bone, correct topline, a little loose underneath, well barrelled ribs, excellent well angulated hindquarters, moved well and correct coming and going, handled well
Limit Bitch,
1. George’s Avaword Trixie, nice standard sized bitch, good layback, nice dark eyes, ears set low and rosed, finely wrinkled, good layback, excellent width of jaw, good length of neck tacked on shoulders, tight feet, good bone, good arch to neck, topline held on the move, well ribbed, well-muscled hindquarters, good tail set, moved well and was correct coming and going.
2. Ragmarte Daiquiri at Pectus, neat r/w feminine girl, lovely expression, ears set low and correctly rosed on a wide skull, excellent layback, dark eyes, finely wrinkled, wide open nostrils, fantastic wide jaw with excellent upsweep, enough bone, wide front, tight feet, tacked on shoulders, good barrel of rib, excellent topline, loose tail, moved and handled well.

George’s Avaword Yoko, Quality r/w female with a lot to like, finely wrinkled skull with good width and length, good width in foreface, ears placed correctly and nicely rosed, dark eyes, split nose roll with nostrils you could run a train through, wide jaw with enough upsweep, nice deep brisket and good width in front, well off for bone, tacked on shoulders, lovely barrel of rib, correct rise in topline, tail ok, moved correctly going and coming, a nicely balanced girl, moved and handled well, RBB
