My thanks to the officers and committee for the honour of officiating at their prestigious show, to my steward who kept me in check and made the ring flow, and to the exhibitors who were kind enough to enter their precious charges for my consideration, thank you all.


German Shorthaired Pointer

Open (1) 1. McIlwaine’s – Winterwell Steppin Stones To Benoveor. Nice looking bitch with a good outline, impressive on entry to the ring, she was happy and full of character,  clean cut head most definitely feminine, good colour to eye giving an intelligent expression, ear set correctly high, muscular neck of good length and with a slight arch, good in shoulder and giving to a sound front assembly, muscular from top of shoulder to straight lean forelegs, chest has depth not too wide with elbows well back and  correct, well ribbed back up to a good tuck up of loin, strong in hind quarters with broad well toned 1st and 2nd thigh, well bent stifles making for correct angulation, coat of good condition with correct feel, movement with positive single tracking smooth gait effortlessly covering the ground. BOB.

German Wirehaired Pointer

Graduate (2) 1.  Harries – Gleomac Daffodils In Bloom (AI). 2 year old bitch with a cracking outline, powerful in looks but not excessive, still with a feminine affectionate look, head of nice shape and all in good proportions, eye’s dark, neck strong set nicely into a well laid shoulder, muscular through out at front, good length to upper arm, forelegs straight, chest with good depth and with a good spring of rib, reaching adequately upto the tuck up, rear quarters with width to thighs and well toned, well bent at stifle, nice bone through out, good compact feet, coat in a correct texture and with good undercoat, moved well with a ground covering smooth stride. BOB. 2. Dervish-Uman’s – Caeneus Coronus At Todlachie. Smaller than 1st, entered the ring full of enthusiasm, feminine head with a moderate stop, good eye with loving look, neck strong fitting well into a good lay of shoulder, good in front construction,  good depth to chest and a nice spring to rib, nice and broad in rear quarters with a good bend to stifle, thighs well toned, movement was smooth with a good drive  through the rear. RBOB.

Open (1) 1. Harries – Myrna Loy. A 10 year old with a fantastic calming temperament, nice overall shape to head with a nice eye, front assembly with strength and good bone, brisket deep to elbow and with good rib to tuck up, rear quarters still with strength and toned muscle to thighs, movement was steady straight and true. BVIB.

Hungarian Vizsla

Post Graduate (3,1) 1. Parker and Gist’s – Glenbrows Calamity JW. A bitch with a lovely outline and of a good size, head with good dimensions and a good colour to eye showing affection and intelligence, strong in neck with a gentle arch, into a well laid shoulder, front construction good with elbows close and pasterns upright, fore chest good with rest of chest deep and a good spring to rib, topline nice and level, rear quarters with well developed thighs, hocks well let down, good in bone throughout, movement was lively and covered the ground with ease. 2. Milner’s – Ivyvizbridge Just Thomas. Male of a good size with a nice outline and a held level topline, head with correct proportions and with a nice eye, strong neck fitting nicely into a well laid shoulder, front with good bone and strong pasterns, chest deep with good rib, neat in tuck up, well muscled in the croup, 1st and 2nd thighs well toned on a moderate bend to stifle, movement was steady and with a  nice ground covering gait, 1st just took it with her movement.

Limit (2) 1. Challis’s – Vizslanya Vizi JW. Great outline on entering the ring with class and style, showing substance without heaviness, head of good shape and proportions and a good colour of eye, ears shaped and set well, neck strong and with the slight arch required, this then flows into a good lay of well muscled shoulder, front with good proportions good length to forearm, straight and strong, depth to chest good and with plenty of well sprung rib, loin with a gentle tuck up, croup with strength  and well toned, rear quarters throughout with good muscle, toned and structured, feet nice and tight neat and with arched toe, movement was crisp precise and lively but without  coarseness. BOB. 2. Milner’s – Ivyvizbridge Just Thomas. As 2nd above.

Open (2) 1. Milner’s – Ivyvizbridge Hope’s Faith. Nice outline and with good level topline, elegant head with neat plains, showing a nice eye full of affection, neck with slight arch and strong, forequarters straight and with good length to forearm, good fore chest from well shaped brisket, plenty of well sprung rib through to a neat tuck up, rear assembly presenting well defined thighs on moderate bend of stifle, rounded feet tight and with arched toes, movement was driven and ground covering with a lively pace. RBOB. 2. Challis’s – Vizslanya Csibe JW. Slightly smaller than 1 but still with a nice outline, holding a good topline, elegant head with a nice eye colour, neck well muscled and with slight arch, shoulders well laid back, forearm of good length and correct straight pasterns, chest deep and well ribbed back to a neat tuck up, 1st and 2nd thighs well developed, movement was lively and ground covering.

Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla

Limit (1) 1. Nokes – Goldpaw Five To Midnight. Entered the ring with confidence with a good overall outline, carrying level topline, head with neat correct proportions, eye of a good colour, well muscled neck of a moderate length set to well laid muscular shoulders, good depth to chest and with plenty of well sprung rib, croup neatly rounded, good toning to thighs, hocks well let down, coat texture good, movement smooth and flowing full of drive. RBOB.

Open (2,1) 1. Nokes – Trebus Tanselle At Goldpaw. Another overall good looking dog of good type, holding a level topline on the stack and on the move, head proportions good and a nice eye showing the sensitive intelligent expression, neck strong and of a nice length, shoulders well laid back, forequarters strong with plenty of good bone all well muscled, straight forelegs to upright pasterns, chest deep to elbow and with plenty of well sprung rib set well back to the loin, strong rear quarters with well toned 1st and 2nd thighs, feet tight and with a nice arch to toes, coat in a good condition and texture, effortless movement with a driven ground covering action. BOB.

English Springer Spaniel

Limit (3,2) 1. Hill’s – Dexbenella Double Trouble At Teeignvalley. Lovely looking dog of good proportions, head of correct shape and proportions, good shape to eye and of a good dark colour, neck strong muscular and of a good length, forequarters with  straight forelegs and plenty of bone, a good lay back in shoulder, chest deep and with a good spring of rib, well coupled and muscular in the loin, strength in rear with well developed thighs on a moderate bend to stifle, feet tight and nicely rounded, movement was driven from a strong rear showing no deviation. BOB.

Large Munsterlanders

Limit (2,1) 1. Disney’s – Kamaze Dance In The Dark. Good overall outline and full of character, head of good proportions and with a good dark eye, strong muscular neck of good length flowing smoothly into a well laid shoulder, good width and depth to a well ribbed chest  reaching back to a toned loin, front with nice straight forelegs and strong pasterns, width to hind quarters and plenty of well toned muscle, good bend to stifle, movement was smooth and effortless. RBOB.

Open (2) 1. Disney’s – SH CH Wonglepong Wills Faramir. Entered the ring with purpose and alertness , showing what the breed is ( workmanlike and functional), good outline of correct dimensions, head with good plains and with no exaggerations, nice dark eye with an affectionate expression, strong neck slightly arched and joining into a well laid back shoulder, front assembly showing strong straight forelegs onto good pasterns, feet tight and rounded, great in width and depth of chest, good spring of rib well back to a toned loin on short couplings, width to the loin is spot on, rear quarters are strong with good muscle to thighs on a good turn of stifle, hocks well let down, movement was driven from the powerful rear in a controlled effortless manner, good length in the stride making the movement smooth. BOB. 2. Stevens – Ghyllbeck Fringilla. Good overall outline showing the same workmanlike asset’s required, good proportions and dimensions head,  nice dark eye giving affectionate expression, strong muscular neck with correct slight arch, shoulders well laid back fitting nicely into the front assembly with straight forelegs and strong pasterns, great depth and width to brisket, sound spring of rib reaching well back to loin, nicely short coupled, rear quarters strong and well toned on good angulation, movement was good with a free flowing action driven from the strong rear quarters.

Pointers

Post Graduate (7,2) 1. Phillips – Pencaire Sheeran. Very good on outline as entering the ring, everything symmetrical nothing out of place, well proportioned head with a good rise in the occiput, clean in eye with a good colour, muscular well muscled neck into a good lay of shoulder, good depth to the brisket and enough width for plenty of heart and lung room, straight and strong in foreleg with nice bone, pasterns of a good length with no weakness, ribs well sprung and carried well back to a firm loin, of which the rest of the rear quarters were good and well toned, hocks well let down , good sound feet arched toes and oval in shape, movement was governed from the powerful rear which showed positive drive through out. RBOB. 2. Tregaskis’s – Pencaire Sandpiper with Moenfair. Nice in outline giving appearance of power and balance, head with good dimensions and a kindly full eye, strength and toning to a well defined neck that slips well into a good lay of shoulder, front assembly still with strength and plenty of good bone on firm and straight forelegs, good depth to chest with enough width, good spring of rib back to a well formed rear quarters, plenty of sound muscle to well defined 1st and 2nd thighs, stifles well bent and hocks well let down, moved well with a strong positive drive from the rear.

Limit (2) 1.  Osman’s – Fleurfield Hidden Depths Via Marissolo. Nice in outline and showing a nice typical type, head with good plains and nicely raised occiput, eye full and with a good colour, neck lengthy and strong smoothly falling into a good lay back in shoulder, chest deep and with good width, sound in rib passing back to a good muscular loin, forequarters with good straight forelegs and with good muscle tone, nice length to pasterns and neat feet,  rear quarters again with good muscle tone on a good bend to stifle, moved with plenty of drive from the rear. 2. Henshaw and Goodchild – Penbro Under Pressure with Peteshe TAF. Nice outline with a good carriage, head with neat and correct proportions and a nice eye, neck strong and of a good length, shoulders well laid back, front with nice bone on a good foreleg built soundly around well toned muscle, width and depth to chest good, sound spring of rib carried neatly back to a firm strong loin, rear with toned 1st and 2nd thigh on a well turned stifle, driven movement was neat and straight.

Open (6,1) 1. Tregaskis – Moenfair Sanguineum Luna JW. On entering the ring this dog showed style and grace with a lovely outline, head plains correct with a defined stop and occiput, eye full of expression and of a good shape and colour, ears set well, neck with a good length and strong, set to a well laid back shoulder with a long blade, forequarters similarly strong with good bone, forelegs with a nice shape to bone amid  a good amount of muscle, nice length to pasterns again strong showing no signs of weakness, good well sprung rib carried back to correct short coupling and sound muscled loin, correct bend in stifle carrying a good amount of well toned muscle on 1st and 2nd thigh, feet with a nice arched toe compact and oval, driven movement from the strong rear quarters made for a effortless ground covering action. BOB. 2. Osman’s – Fleurfield Firethorn at Marissolo ShCEx. Nice outline and attitude on entering the ring, alert and full of charisma, head with a nice shape and a defined stop, pronounced occiput, full clear eye of good colour, ear set correct, neck with good length and sound toning, set into a well laid back shoulder, front assembly with straight forelegs and good bone, nic e length to pasterns showing no weakness, feet well shaped, brisket deep and with plenty of width, loin wide and strong on a short coupling, bend to stifle good and with plenty of muscle to 1st and 2nd thigh, movement was driven and ground covering from the strong rear quarters. BVIB.

Weimaraners

Puppy (6,1) 1. Jones – Rivertone Mr Two Kay. I really liked this boy, on entering the ring he showed the alertness of a good hunter but with the character of wanting to be your friend, balance and power was evident and just oozed quality, head with good equal proportions, a good clean eye of correct colouring, ears set high, moderately long powerful neck set into a well laid back shoulder, straight in foreleg with correct  scope and of sound bone, well developed chest deep to elbow and of good width, for heart and lung, ribcage well sprung and extending well back to a neat tuck up and strong loin, rear quarters showing strength and toning on well set 1st and 2nd thighs, stifle well turned and hocks well let down, feet with arched toes and compactly  shaped, movement was strong and well driven from the rear, held the topline perfectly with an effortless gait. BOB, BPIB. 2. Burgess’s – Gamepoint Zoom by Hantzburg. Good outline and held his topline nicely on entering the ring, head of correct plains and carrying a nice set eye of good colour, ear correctly shaped and set on high, clean cut strong neck into a good lay back in shoulder, front strong with good bone, nice proportions in body with good depth and width to chest, sound spring of rib, neat turn to stifle and well toned 1st and 2nd thighs, moved well and with drive from the strong rear.

Graduate (1) 1. Goord’s – Dartview Formula One. Lovely outline and with a good level topline entering the ring, good proportions to head and skull all giving the noble look required of the breed, eye of good colour and full of expression, ears set high and of a good feel and length, strong powerful neck of good length and fell smoothly into a well laid shoulder, good in front with plenty of muscle, good deep chest containing plenty of well sprung rib, moderate tuck up with strong loin, hindquarters strong with a nice turn to stifle, well muscled to 1st and 2nd thigh, hocks well let down, moved well with a positive drive from the rare quarters.

Limit (1) 1. Jefferies – Silbermeer Annie Get Ya Gun. Nice outline with level topline held on entry to ring, head with good proportions and moderate stop, eyes set nicely and with a good high ear set, neck strong and of a good length set into a good lay of shoulder, forequarters with good bone on straight fore legs, feet with toes nicely arched, chest deep and with a sound spring to rib extending back to tuck up, firm in abdomen, hind construction with plenty of good toned muscle, 1st and 2nd thighs well developed, her movement today probably wasn’t her best, albeit clean and straight but it didn’t look like she was happy with the surface at the venue. BOS.

Open (3,2) 1. Burgess – Gunalt Vettel to Hantzburg. Cracking looking dog with a fantastic presence, outline was strong and topline was held well, head with good shape and proportions, nice eye of good colour, ears set nice and high and with correct length, neck moderately long and  very strong fitting snugly into a well laid back shoulder, front assembly good with strong and straight forelegs, chest deep with a good spring of rib extending well back to a firm croup, good toning to rear on well developed thighs, effortless ground covering movement, always holding a level topline. RBOB.

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers

Puppy (1) 1. Hipkiss, Rolf and Parker – Skysaria Blaze of Hope. Lovely on outline and holding a level topline on entering the ring, head shape and proportions good for one so young, well developed and very much as it should be complimenred with a good eye, ear set and shape good, neck with the feel of strength and power set into a well laid back shoulder, front incorporating a good chest with depth and full of a well sprung rib, straight in foreleg with strong pasterns, short across back to a strong loin, stifles well bent and loaded with a good amount of muscle to 1st and 2nd thighs, round tight feet with nicely arched toes, good in coat, strong rear driven movement giving a powerful but effortless movement. BPIB.

Post Graduate (3) 1. Hughes – Abacot Into The Unknown JW. Gave a very striking entry into the ring, happy, jolly and full of confidence, holding the topline on initial movement from his impressive outline, head dimensions spot on with a good shaped and coloured eye, strong well muscled neck which flowed into a well laid back shoulder, continuing across a short level back to a good loin, forelegs straight and strong, pasterns show strength and no weakness, 1st and 2nd thighs well developed, stifle well bent and hocks well let down, coat in good condition, presented well, good reach and powerful drive to cover the ground with ease. BOB. 2. Hipkiss, Rolf and Parker – As 1st in Puppy

Limit (1) 1. Palfrey’s – Eusanit Wild Atlantic Way. Good well held topline on entering the ring with a nice profile, head clean cut and of a good type, correct shape and colour to eye, ear set good, neck of a moderate length and with good muscle, shoulders well laid back, good in topline to a strong loin, forelegs strong and straight to a good pastern, good depth to chest with plenty of well sprung rib to a neat tuck up, thighs showing strength, stifles well bent and with well let down hocks, movement was driven from the rear with good reach to the front.

Open (3,1) 1. Hughes – SH CH Eusanit Gem Stone at Abacot. First-rate outline and nicely held topline on entry into the ring, head with good dimensions with a good eye, neck with strength and fitting neatly into a well laid back shoulder, forelegs straight and strong, pasterns good, feet round and tight, chest deep and with good spring to rib, back correctly short to a well toned loin, 1st and 2nd thighs well developed on a moderate bend to stifle, coat good, effortless driven movement covered the ground with ease. RBOB. 2. Hipkiss – Afonbach First Sign O’Spring at Deltadamba JW. This was a close class with both dogs impressing me on entering the ring, good defined outline holding the level topline, head correct in all aspects with a nice eye, neck strong and seamlessly continuing through a good lay of shoulder, short across the back, strong in loin, front assembly good with well toned straight forelegs, good depth to chest and of sound spring of rib, stifles well bent to a well let down hock joint, 1st and 2nd thighs well developed, just not as clean on the move as 1st unfortunately.

Flatcoated Retrievers. I always struggle to judge this breed, not in a bad way, but in a way that makes me smile every time, they never stop wagging their tails, and wag them so hard their whole bodies rock around too, what made this particular day extra special too were the exhibitors who were sporting and supportive of each other, especially when a certain young man helped with a dog, what a star he was.

Puppy (3) 1. Moxey’s – Dymexe My Cherie Philly. A young bitch that showed herself with lots of confidence, head of a good shape and with a good dark eye, neck set well and through to a neat shoulder, front with straight forelegs and with good bone, chest deep not too wide but bodying out with a nice spring to rib, short in a strong loin, hind quarters with good muscle and nothing in excess, her movement for one so young was smooth, balanced and free flowing. RBOB, BPIB. 2. Moxey’s – Dymexe Motown Philly. Litter sister to 1st and it was close, very similar in all aspects, with a good shape to head and a nice eye, bodied up as good as 1, good bone to front on straight forelegs, depth to chest good, well ribbed back to a neat short coupling/loin, well let down in hock, although movement was clean and free the only difference was that this young bitch didn’t flow on the move as 1st did.

Graduate (5,1) 1. Taylor-Bain – Rainesgift Mountain Bluet. Good in outline and was happy as could be on entering the ring, correct shape and proportions to head, with a good dark eye giving an intelligent expression, neck well set and moderately long, set nicely to a good lay in shoulder, bodied well from a good rib cage and strong short couplings, the chest of a nice depth and being well defined in brisket, forelegs strong and straight with good bone, rear quarters not excessive but strong with wide loin, strong in thigh and well let down hocks, good texture to coat, moved with a free flowing action covering the ground easily. 2. Hollingdale’s – Tikkidui Life Is But A Dream. Youngster with a lot to like, happy and excitable, with good proportions and a nice dark eye the head is of good type, neck well set and strong, good length to ribbed body to a short toned set of couplings, front with good bone on a nice straight foreleg, nice depth to chest and a good pronounced brisket, ribs well back to the couplings, rear quarters strong and muscular nothing in excess, moved well in a straight free flowing action.

Limit (2) 1. May’s – Ronevorg Dark Angel at Lussac JW. Another happy FC on entering the ring the tail never stopped, he gave a look of strength and power without being cloddy or excessive, having a strong skull shape most definitely male, a good dark eye giving that intelligent friendly demeanour, strong neck set to a good shoulder across a sound back showing no weakness, front with a good fore chest and of good depth, forelegs straight and strong of good bone throughout, well ribbed back to a short loin, 1st and 2nd thighs well muscled on a neat bend to stifle and well let down hocks, feet neat tidy and with strong arched toes, moved well with a positive free flowing drive. BOS. 2. Hollingdale’s – Aylawbrook Noones Perfect. Nice looking bitch with a good overall outline and a look in expression of always wanting to please, head nicely moulded and with a kind gentle dark eye, neck strong easing gently into a good lay of shoulder, foreleg with a good strong straight bone, feet round and with arched toe, good brisket with nice depth and enough width, ribs with the gradual spring to a short strong set of couplings, rear assembly good, nice toning to 1st and 2nd thigh and moderate in bend to stifle, moved well with the help of a good handler.

Open (3,1) 1. Hollingdale’s – Jetstark If I Can Dream. A balanced fit powerful looking bitch of a great outline and style, with the look of power without being course, intelligent expression but with a melting dark eye, head with correct proportions and neat plains compliment the dark eye, neck well set to a good lay in shoulder, bone of good quality throughout, easily seen in the front assembly on straight well toned forelegs, brisket deep and with good width, ribbed well back to a strong set of short couplings and a squared loin, 1st and 2nd thighs muscled and toned on a moderate turn to stifle, hocks well let down, nothing in excess and nothing to show weakness, straight and true in movement in a free flowing action. BOB. 2. Cooves – Pajanbeck I Have A Dream By Draketor. Dog with a good outline and with a strong defined look of happiness and exuberance, head plains of good proportions and with a nice dark eye, neck strong and well set, shoulder well laid and balanced, good bone on forelegs with toned muscle, well defined in brisket and with good width, ribbed well back and of good shape, rear quarters toned and with no excessiveness, hocks well let down, moved neatly and smoothly with a good action.

Welsh Springer Spaniel.

Puppy (3,1) 1. McIlwaine and Reynolds – Ferndel Rebecca for Benoveor. This young Lady caught my eye on entering the ring, to type and well balanced, head of nice proportions and a nice dark eye giving this pretty bitch an appealing deep expression, good lay of shoulder, front assembly good straight in foreleg and well boned, good depth in brisket, and plenty of sound rib, short in loin and well developed in the rear, driven powerful movement covered the ground easily. BPIB 2. Boumonte, Boumonte and Dimond’s – Roxdale Bodicea. Another lovely looking puppy with a good outline with a compact look, head with a well defined stop, good dark eye giving a gentle soft expression, good neck into a well laid shoulder, forelegs straight and strong with good bone, chest deep to elbow and full of well sprung rib, 1st and 2nd thigh toned on moderate bend of stifle, feet firm and round, movement was ground covering and true.

Junior (3) 1. Reynolds and McIlwain – Benoveor Don’t Stop Me Now. Classic looking dog of good proportions and a nice outline, head with a good stop, nice across the skull, good dark eye, neck long and strong set well into a good lay of shoulder, front assembly neat and with good bone, brisket deep to elbow and with enough width, plenty of sound sprung rib to a muscular short coupling/loin, 1st and 2nd thighs well developed on a sturdy rear assembly, true movement from the rear and powerful across the ground. 2. Lamport’s – Glenbrows Hopefulness. Nice looking bitch with a good overall outline, head of good proportions and shape, eye of a good colour with a melting expression, good ear set, neck moderately long with good muscle tone set neatly into a good shoulder, forelegs straight and strong with good bone, depth to chest reaching the elbow and full of good sound sprung rib, hind quarters with plenty of toned muscle on a well boned leg, hocks well let down, moved with ease and with drive.

Graduate (4,1) 1. Boumonte, Boumonte and Dimond’s – Roxdale Moody Blue. Good in outline and with good overall balance, pleasing head of good proportions and a neat stop, nice dark eye giving a very feminine expression, good length to neck which set neatly to a well laid shoulder, front assembly good with sound muscle, chest good correct to elbow and with plenty of well sprung rib, rear was sturdy with good muscle and hock joints well let down, feet round and strong, moved smoothly and with a nice action. 2. Blackford’s – Amberlight Adhara JW. Another nice looking bitch with a loving expression, outline good, neat shape and proportions to head and with a kind dark eye, ear set good, neck strong set nicely to a good lay in shoulder, front assembly with good bone and muscle tone, chest deep correctly to elbow, ribs well sprung and back to short couplings, loin strong, hocks well let down, 1st and 2nd thighs well developed, moved with ease in a nice smooth action.

Limit (2) 1. Nicholl – Benoveor Sail On To Antreth. Good looking and with a sound outline, correct shape and proportions to head with a good dark eye, ear set good, neck strong and long set neatly into a well back shoulder, forelegs strong and straight with plenty of defined bone, feet round and firm, deep in brisket to elbow and has plenty of well sprung rib, rear quarters having good muscle on 1st and 2nd thigh, moderate bend to stifle, movement was driven from the rear allowing easy coverage of the ring. 2. Morgan’s – Benoveor Endless Love. Lovely looking bitch in a good condition, neat outline with good carriage, head of good shape and proportions, nice dark eye, front of good tone and bone, good depth to her brisket and plenty of well sprung rib, toned muscle on thighs and moderate bend in stifle, feet neat round and firm, movement was good but just not as smooth as 1st.

Open Dog (4,1) 1. Nicholl – Benoveor The Guardian for Antreth. Quality dog with a neat outline, well defined masculine head and with a dark eye, strong in neck set to a well laid back shoulder, forelegs strong and straight with sturdy bone throughout, good depth to brisket and of well sprung rib, toned loin, rear strong in thigh, well let down hocks, feet round and sound, driven movement covering the ring with ease holding a good topline. RBOB. BOS. 2. Attwood’s – IR SH CH Kylowen Drym ShCEx IRVETCH. Mature dog but not showing any signs of floundering, good overall outline, masculine in a well proportioned head and a nice kindly expressive eye, front strong and well developed, neck long and strong and set well to a good shoulder, loin with width and strength, forelegs good, straight, toned and well boned, movement was sound and true with a good rear action.

Open Bitch (3,2) 1. Attwood’s – Kylowen Demelza VW IRVETCH. Loved this old girl, giving her all, with a dark eye and a melting expression, she certainly enjoyed her day, good outline and a well held topline, well shaped and proportioned head and a good ear set, neck long with good muscle, set to a good lay in shoulder, deep in brisket and of sound sprung rib back to neat short coupling under a strong loin, moderate bend in stifle carrying good toned muscle on the thighs, moved with determination and drive to cover the ground with ease. BOB. BV.

Charity Stakes

AV Puppy (13,5) 1. Burgess’s – Gamepoint Zoom by Hantzburg. (As in breed class) Good outline and held his topline nicely on entering the ring, head of correct plains and carrying a nice set eye of good colour, ear correctly shaped and set on high, clean cut strong neck into a good lay back in shoulder, front strong with good bone, nice proportions in body with good depth and width to chest, sound spring of rib, neat turn to stifle and well toned 1st and 2nd thighs, moved well and with drive from the strong rear. 2. Evans - .Trendlewood Long Time Comin. Good outline and nicely held topline entering the ring, good profile and shape to head with a well defined stop, powerful in neck and set well into well placed shoulders, front well boned and straight in foreleg, chest with good depth and width, feet round and nicely arched in toe, rear quarters well developed and with good muscle tone, moved freely with out being laboured.

AV Open (9,4) 1. Coad’s –Tinklersroc Bon Bon. Strong looking Golden with a good outline, a clean looking well conditioned coat, good shape and proportions to head, showing a good dark eye with plenty of gentle expression, neck of a good length and well toned set well into a good lay in shoulder, front with good developed bone and nice and straight in foreleg, chest deep and with good spring to rib, ribbed well back to short couplings, loin and thighs well muscled giving the feel of strength and power, movement was driven from the rear with free flowing long strides, no deviation from the true line. 2. Burgess – Gunalt Vettel to Hantzburg. (As in breed class) Cracking looking dog with a fantastic presence, outline was strong and topline was held well, head with good shape and proportions, nice eye of good colour, ears set nice and high and with correct length, neck moderately long and  very strong fitting snugly into a well laid back shoulder, front assembly good with strong and straight forelegs, chest deep with a good spring of rib extending well back to a firm croup, good toning to rear on well developed thighs, effortless ground covering movement, always holding a level topline.

AV Veteran (10,3) 1. Bard’s – Withiflor Fairy Tale JW. Great looking Cocker and full of beans, balanced and with a wonderful outline, never stopped wagging her tail, defined stop on a well proportioned head, good dark eye with a gentle expression, front good well boned, good lay to shoulder, brisket deep but not too wide, ribbed up nicely to a well developed rear quarter, muscular in thighs and with a good bend in stifle, feet compact and of a good shape, moved in a positive driven action from the rear. 2. Sweet’s – Bondadosa Beach ShCM VW. Sound looking SWD with a good topline and balanced outline, keen in eye and set in a well defined head, front strong and a good depth in chest, strong across the topline and with a well developed rear with the feel in thighs of strength, moved in a positive driven gait.

AV Champion (6,2) 1. Cox – SH CH Gardenstone Pale Rider to Suvern JW.

Out standing Cocker with all the character needed in a full of life breed, outline was balanced and all in proportion, head with good shape and dimensions and a well defined stop, neck muscular and not too long, set neatly to a good lay of shoulder, front quarters with straight toned forelegs with good bone, deep  in chest but not overdone ribs well sprung, thighs on a good bend in stifle full of well toned developed muscle, which gave him the power needed to drive round the ring with ease. 2. Roberts – SH CH Jetsetter Cristalle to Polmennor (IMP RUS) JW. Irish Setter with a lot to like, good overall outline and held her topline on the move, head of correct shape and with a nice dark eye raised brows gave that appealing expression so typical of the Irish, her neck was long and muscular and set nicely to a well laid back shoulder, forelegs straight with plenty of bone, good depth to chest and with a nice hands width in front, plenty of well sprung rib carried well back to a well developed loin, rear quarters with well toned 1st and 2nd thighs on a nice bend to stifle, hocks well let down, her movement was free flowing and with a true action, profile showed good footfall.
