I would like to thank the officers and committee for this opportunity to judge a breed I have watched for many years, an appointment I was looking forward to for some time. The quality in general was very good. Many worthy exhibits and some variety in type.

In general movement was a bit hit and miss and the challenge for BIS was challenging as neither were sufficiently settled to make it easy, that said they had won their classes well. The surprise of the day was the BP as she really caught my eye and when handled by the expert in the challenge could easily have gone all the way. Thank you to the exhibitors for their entries and my comments are merely my experience on the day.

Class 1. Baby Puppy Dog – (1)

1. Gardner Ms SBargeway Country Boy at Manzanakees – Square in appearance and plenty of leg. Head of good proportions with pleasing expression. Balanced neck into good shoulder. Body developing with good tailset. Good bone and feet. The best of temperaments.

Class 2. Baby Puppy Bitch – (1)

1. Tew Ms V Bargeway Crystal Clear – Excellent shape and size with a super body. Head is very promising. Good bone with excellent overall proportions. Very good positive movement. Super temperament.

Class 3. MPD – No Entries

Class 4. PD – No Entries

Class 5. Junior Dog – (3)

1. Miles, Dean, Cullen, & Cullen Mrs, Miss, Mrs & Dr J S S & K – Skyline’s Outlander at Lekkerbek (Imp USA) – Very good shape if on the larger side. Excellent proportions with a super head and expression. Excellent substance and body with good bone and feet. Excellent ears. Typical balanced movement with very good body and tail.

2. Comperat Mr J – Bargeway Boomerang – Very square with super Head and expression. Well placed ears. Very good balanced proportions, good body proportions but prefer more width in front. Good width in the rear. Balanced movement.

3. Johnson & Atkinson Mrs & Mrs S&A, Winkelstar Namid – In profile appearance, slightly longer than tall. Very good head and expression with correct eye. Enough neck, very good for body. Movement slightly exaggerated.

Class 6. Yearling Dog (1)

1. Gardner Ms S – Devonia’s Love Wil Find A Way for Manzanakees – Good overall proportions and size. Enough bone, prefer more body. Pleasing head and expression with just enough width, very good ears. Good Dentition. Prefer him more alert as he appeared distracted. Good tail placement, Movement ok, lacking positivity.

Class 7. Novice Dog – No Entries

Class 8.Post Graduate Dog - No entries

Class 9. Limit Dog – (3/1)

1. Downs Mrs A – Liefkees Assisi JW – Very good overall proportions, very expressive and well-proportioned head with excellent ear and eye placement. Balanced body with good bone. Very alert and appears balanced with excellent tail set. Typical action when moving.

2. Axford & Sherwood Ms & Mr L&S – Watermyth Jewel of the Nest – Dog of good size and proportions, head lacking in strength and confirmed on examination. Ears, when carries appear well placed. Has enough body and substance. A little unsure when standing and on examination. I guess handled by a newer exhibitor, settles more on the move.

Class 10. Open Dog – (5)

First 3 dogs were of a similar size, type and proportions, all had super heads and expressions. Movement varied !

1. Peck & Matthews Mr&Miss – Ch Keitakees To Love Somebody At Byquy – Typey with good body and substance. Settled on the move but has a tendency to move wider in front.

2. Rose Mr & Mrs G&S – Ch Dianakees Inspector Morse at Esorkees – Not settled but the best for shape and balance.

3. Harris Ms M - Good body proportions and substance, slightly narrower in front but sound and balanced movement. Very well handled.

4. Marshall Mr & Mrs V&S – Arabesque at Devonia (Imp RUS)

5. Matthews, Matthews & Lee Messrs, Mrs & Mrs M&D L&T – Ch Winklestar Deneb at Valindale.

Class 11. Veteran Dog – (4/1)

All in this class were in super condition and can definitely show the youngsters how to move !

1. Hickson Mr & Miss C&N – Ch Kichigai’s Only The Lonely – Typical, of excellent size, shape and balance. Vocal ! Super expression, like his overall balance without exaggeration. In super physical condition for age.

2. Miles, Cullen & Brown Mrs , Dr, Mrs JK & SS & S – Ch Rossvales Legacy for Lekkerbek – in super condition for his age, super shape in stance and still wants to perform.

3. Bennett Miss A – Byquy Rich Gent – dog of very good proportions with an excellent head. Carrying a bit of weight, but so good on the move.

Class 12 MPB - No Entries

Class 13 PB (1)

1. Pattison Ms S – Eastkees Amber Moon – Very feminine and of good type, Super head and expression. Loved her size and substance. Prefer a bit more width in front, lay back ok, not settled on the move with high stepping action, may settle as she matures, good for bone and excellent rear action. Was hyper in this class but in the challenge went much better and with alternative handler. Overall she is a very promising exhibit.

Class 14 JB (2/1)

1. Pattison Ms S – Eastkees Lilley of The Valley - Good for size and substance, Very promising head and expression. Good ears and eye, good body and overall proportions with correct coat. Good feet. Unfortunately came out of her crate into the ring and was hyper ! Movement difficult to assess but was animated and energetic.

Class 15 YB (1)

1. Marshal Mrs&Mr V&S – Devonia’s Hakuna Matata – on first appearance slightly off square, good for bone and substance. Head of good proportions giving pleasing expression, good body. Balanced angulation, prefer a little more neck to balance. Good tail and coat texture.

Class 19 OB (6/4)

1. Sharp-Bale Mrs J - Ch Neradmik Shimmer N Shine (Imp CAN) – Feminine with very good overall proportions and balance. Excellent for bone and substance. Good head and expression with excellent ears and eye. Creates a super picture in profile. Not settled on the move, prefer a little more positivity in her action.

2. Pattison Ms S - Eastkees Purple Gem – Liked her overall shape, good for body and substance. Sturdy, head of good proportions, very good ears. Excellent colour. Good topline and excellent tail, very positive movement behind. This exhibitor had some very promising females but unfortunately none were settled due to her being in several classes with different dogs.

Class 20 VB (2/1)

1. Marshal Mrs&Mr V&S – Tomkees Made in Heavon at Devonia VW

Super sturdy, very good body and substance. Very good head and expression, would prefer a little more compact. Very pleasing type, moves positively with a brisk action
