I thoroughly enjoyed my day judging at this well-run show. My sincere thanks go to the Officers and Committee for the kindness and hospitality extended to me. My excellent steward, Gemma, and her little helpers did a marvellous job. Many thanks to the exhibitors who entered under me and the support from The Scottish Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club.
King Charles Spaniel PG (1,0)
1. Ratter L Chacombe Catch A Star For Seafar: A 10-month-old tricolour with an appealing head with the required dome. Gentle dark eyes, good nose placement, and tidy lip finish. Her presentation was first-class with a silky, well-broken coat that gleamed. She wasn’t playing on the move today, which was a shame as it was difficult to assess. BPIB.
O (1,0)
1. Sidgwick P & I Paulian Where’s Wally JW SHCH: A wonderful mature 8-year-old tricolour in full coat, correctly marked. Attractive domed head with a good rise of skull, broad lower jaw, ample cushioning, and dark pigment. Good shoulders, well-bodied with a good rib and deep chest. He strode out well around the ring, enjoying himself, holding a level top line. BOB & BVIS.

1. Kynaston, Miss Karen Granasil Ovaltine: An attractive ruby boy of nice size in a good coat, correct ear placement with lovely ear feathering already. Nice dark eye and pigment giving a gentle expression. Decent forehand and body with a good spring of rib for his age. Moved out well and held a level top line. BPD.
2. Gibb-Stuart, Ian and Anne & Mrs I Gibb-Stuart Tangledwood Love Be A Lady: A 6-month-old well-broken Blenheim. Pleasing head, dark eye and pigment with a soft expression, scissor bite. Decent body with a good spring of rib but very much a baby today and being a bit naughty for his handler, not wanting to walk.

1. Kynaston, Miss Karen Granasil Golden Nugget VW SHCEX: I have always liked this ruby boy and can’t believe that he is a 9-year-old veteran! He still moves well with drive from behind, holding a nice top line with a correct tail set. Good head, large round dark eyes, high set long ears with plenty of feathering. Mouth good. Slight arch to neck and well laid shoulders. Happy to give him BD, BVD, and BVIB.

1. Waters Wendy Sweetbriar A Singer: Just loved this very attractive nearly 12-month-old Blenheim puppy as soon as she walked into the ring. Sweet feminine head with well-set, well-feathered ears framing her face and giving a beautiful soft expression. Correct bite with beautiful, dark, round eyes. Arched neck leading into a level topline and good tail set. Moved easily with drive and happily going round the ring with her handler. Would take her home in a minute. BB & BPIB.
2. Gibb-Stuart, Ian and Anne Marisk Mary Poppins For Tangledwood: 8-month-old Blenheim bitch. Really liked her overall shape with a compact body, well-broken with deep chestnut color. Her head is developing nicely with a good ear set. Neck slightly arched, leading to good shoulders. Once she settled, movement was good for such a raw baby.
3. Deamer Mrs. Susan Tangledwood We Found Love At Bankshill.

1. Gibb-Stuart, Ian and Anne Clivia De Los Ursidos Kodiak With Tangledwood: Ruby girl who is just out of puppy. Beautiful outline with a well-balanced shape. Lovely head with correct large dark round eye with a typical gentle expression. Well-proportioned slightly tapering muzzle and flat skull with high set ears. Nice length of neck into well-laid shoulder. Moves parallel away and back and holds her topline.
2. Henson Dr. Claire & Jennifer Spiers Caramoone Grace Kelly: 17-month-old Blenheim with a soft expression with lovely dark, round eyes with enough cushioning. Good length to muzzle with shallow stop. Would have preferred better pigment in the nose but nice open nostrils. High ear set which has leathers of good length and plenty of feathering. Deep chest with good spring of ribs. Lovely neck which leads into a flat topline but tends to be loose on the move.
3. Maxwell, Audrey Eildon Dream Elsa.

1. Waters Wendy Sweetbriar La Dee Da JW: Another lovely Blenheim bitch from this kennel where nothing is exaggerated about her. She has such a typical gay cavalier temperament where her tail never stopped wagging from entering the ring. Coat and presentation were beautiful with ears long and well feathered and good bite. A beautiful, well-balanced bitch with a lovely feminine head, round dark expressive eyes giving a melting expression. Elegant movement with a perfect topline and tail carriage with good reach and drive. Very nice construction with a good neck and shoulders, well-sprung ribs, good bone, and strong rear. BB & BOB.
2. Tremain Mrs. Rose Bonitos Companeros First Class (Imp DEU): Another splendid bitch which unfortunately for her today she was in along with No.1. Attractive head with large round expressive dark eyes with an even blaze. Muzzle to skull ratio is good. Nice neck and shoulders, well-angulated both front and rear. Moved around the ring well but preferred movement of 1.
3. Maxwell Audrey Poundroll Nina.
