West Midlands Terrier Society Premier Open Show 17th Feb 2024 It was a pleasure to be asked by the society to step in to judge the Bedlington Terriers at the February 2024 show. Overall, a nice entry of terriers at this well-run show, displaying the epitome of the breed standard, all having good head shapes and confidence in the ring with none showing any signs of nervousness. All showing good health, condition, and temperament. Immaculately turned-out exhibitors and dogs, you all did your breed proud. Would like to thank you all for your entries and good nature shown by all in my decisions on the day. Class 9 Puppy 1st Pedersen Mr R & Mrs T.P Silverkinn Skyfall of Topaz A lovely presented 11-month-old dog with the typical outline which he retained at all times on table and in movement. Lovely head and eyes. Good length of neck and depth of chest. Good topline and tuck-up, excellent coat texture. Move well across the ring with a light and springy pace. Exhibitor got the most out of this dog on the day Pleasure to award BoB and BPiB, and was lovely to see in the main group and came away with a particularly good PGr4 in a competitive line up Class 10 Junior 1st Lowe Mrs J & Mr R Bisbee Bulldozer with Tessarion At just over a year old this dog stood well on the table showed excellent outline of head and skull, small bright eyes, nicely set ear carriage and velvety texture. Body showing good muscle and flex with a deep chest and arch over loin showing a nice tuck up, moved out and around the ring well Pushed for BoB and happy to award RBoB 2nd Corcoran Miss G Janmark Mamma Mia A 15 month old dog was a little unsettled on the table but showed the attributes in body and coat that a Bedlington should. Standing slightly taller than the 1st place dog but still showing good outline. Movement today not as light and springy as it should be. A good overall dog that on another could have swapped placed Class 11 Post Graduate No entries Class 12 Open No entries
