Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at your show and for the warm welcome and hospitality. Most importantly I must thank all the exhibitors for entering your beautifully presented dogs and bitches. All had that happy disposition the breed is known for with smiley eager to please eyes and waggy tails along with good muscular fit for function condition.

Special Yearling Dog 4(2,A)

1. Warden’s Holinbrae Zoom Time at Glentochty A neatly packaged mid gold youngster of 17 months who caught my eye for his balanced construction. He has a sweet masculine head and kindly expression with super jet black pigmentation. His front is straight with good width to chest. He has good reach of neck and well laid back shoulders, his elbows tuck neatly into his deep chest. His ribs are well sprung and he is short coupled. He has strong rear quarters with well muscled thighs, a lovely turn of stifle and straight hocks. Moved with reach and drive holding his topline and tailset level.

2. McDonald’s Lamancha Take a Chance A larger framed young dog of almost 18 months presented immaculately in full coat and hard condition. He has an appealing handsome head with dark eyes and pigmentation. His reach of neck flows onto his well laid back shoulders with good length of upper arm. His front is straight with good bone although I would prefer more width to chest and spring of rib. However he has a big frame to fill so this should come as he matures. He presents a balanced profile with equal fore and aft angulations and a good turn of stifle with well let down straight hocks. Moved with reach and drive holding his frame and at one with his handler.

1. Law’s Sandti Back of the Net This 2 year old mid gold boy oozes quality from the tip of his black nose to the end of his tail. Shown in glorious shiny full coat and tip top hard muscular condition which enhances his lovely balanced frame. He has a gorgeous head with a melting expression and clearly adores his handler giving her full eye contact as he stood four square with his tail wagging. He has a super reach of neck onto well laid back shoulders and good length of upper arm with a lovely deep chest of good width and ribs well sprung. His fore and aft angulations are symmetrical. He has a dead level topline and tailset with powerful muscular rear quarters with well bent stifles and straight hocks. He strode out around the ring holding his topline with his tail flowing straight off his back. BD and BOB

2. Warden’s Noblemoon Tak the High Road to Glentochty A lot to like about this happy mature 6 year old compact and smartly presented darker gold dog with a lovely wavy coat standing four square. He has a masculine head of correct proportions and a gentle expression with dark eyes and pigment and a correct scissor bite. His front is straight and he is well off for bone with good width to chest. His topline and tailset are level and he has well angulated rear quarters with a good turn of stifle and straight hocks. Strode out with a nice easy stride holding his frame and at one with his handler.

Puppy Bitch 3(2,A)

1. MacDonald’s Largymore Classique A mid gold puppy of 9 months who kept her handler on her toes. She has a sweet head of correct proportions and dark eyes with good pigment. A straight front and is well off for bone and nice neat feet. She has a good reach of neck, however she was carrying too much weight over her shoulders which affected the nicely balanced frame she has underneath. Her chest is deep and she is short in couplings. She has well bent stifles and straight hocks.

Special Yearling 4(2,A)

1. Lochhead’s Kaylaton Heidi Weiss Such a lot to like about this beautiful compact mid gold young bitch shown in super coat and well muscled hard condition stood four square giving her handler full attention. She has a lovely feminine head with a happy expression and jet black pigment. Her front is straight with good bone and nice featherings on her forelegs.She has a good length and return of upper arm and matching fore and aft angulations which make for a lovely balanced frame. Moved with plenty of reach and drive holding her topline. BB

2. Saunderson’s Moloko Izipizi at Crobeag Another quality young bitch presented in hard physical condition. Her pale cream coat in full bloom with lovely featherings. She has a super reach of neck which flows onto her well laid back shoulders and level topline and tailset. She is well balanced from all angles with symmetrical fore and rear angulations. She is short coupled and has good turn of stifles and straight hocks. Moved with an easy flowing stride.

Post Graduate Bitch 4(3,A)

1. Williamson’s Sandti Tiki Taka This eye catching mid gold young bitch is beautifully balanced displaying her dead level topline and matching equal angulations as she stood four square totally focused on her handler. She has a sweet feminine head with a gentle expression and dark eyes. Her neck flows onto well laid back shoulders. Her front is straight and she has good depth of chest and spring of rib and is short coupled with good width of thigh, well bent stifles and straight hocks. She moved with lovely reach and drive at one with her handler.

Limit Bitch 2(0,A)

1. McDonald’s Question the Truth A pale cream 3 year old shown with her coat in beautiful condition with full featherings. She has a feminine head and such a gentle expression. Lovely reach of neck onto well laid back shoulders. A good straight front with plenty of bone and good depth and width to chest with tight elbows. She is short coupled and has strong rear quarters with well let down hocks. My notes say ‘She’s as fit as a flea’ as she powered around the ring with great reach and drive.

2. Lochhead’s Bluebraes Meadow Pipit A darker gold compact mature bitch presented in super hard muscular condition. She has a sweet feminine head of correct proportions and good pigment. Standing four square showing off her beautifully balanced frame with a dead level topline and tailset and symmetrical angulations. She has a good turn of stifle and straight well let down hocks. She is such a happy girl who’s tail never stopped wagging. Strode out with bags of reach and drive holding her topline.

1. Bain’s Crimblescurl Time to Tango at Wenichones A very well constructed 3 year old bitch who has a lovely classic wedge shaped head and dark kind eyes. She has well laid back muscular shoulders. Straight forelegs with strong pasterns. Her chest is deep and of good width and her ribs are well sprung. She has strong rear quarters with good width and length of second thigh with well let down hocks. Moved with plenty of drive holding her frame very well BOB

2. Duff’s Overbore League of Their Own A mature dog of 4 years old who is well muscled and in good coat. He has an appealing masculine head and correct scissor bite. He has strong forequarters with a lovely reach of neck flowing freely onto a good lay back of  shoulders. He has a good width and depth of chest with well sprung ribs. However he was carrying too much weight which affected his movement.
