Reading & District Kennel Association

Reading and District Kennel Association 29th May 2024 Chihuahua (Long Coat) Puppy (4, 0) 1st) Culverhouse’s Lykath’s Anduril, very smart puppy; good head and eye, doesn’t need to grow on any more but if he continues in this vein a useful prospect. Uses himself well on the move with a smart, brisk action. BPIB & TPG4. 2nd) Cater’s Lykath’s Light Of Earendil in Pixels, I see sibling to the winner and also very nice sharing many of the same attributes. Good head and expression, firm front and quarters; not so steady on the move as yet but is sound and accurate. Junior (4, 0) 1st) Lee’s Ugo Boss De L’Isle of Ridgehawk (IMP FRA), caught my eye on the first go around, gorgeous type & a really smart youngster, goes so well and is so typical. Well knit & in super condition; will hear more of this one no doubt. 2nd) Cater’s Lykath’s Light Of Earendil in Pixels, see 2nd Puppy. Post Graduate (5, 0) 1st) Lee’s Ridgehawk Shenna Girl, held herself together on the move & especially in profile here better than the others; very typical throughout, excellent head and eye, good shape to skull, fair forequarters and firm topline. Sound and free on the move. 2nd) Cater’s Lykath’s Light of Earendil in Pixels, see 2nd Puppy. Open (5, 0) 1st) Hicks’ Chiquita De Oro Blans at Casiatodo (IMP HUN), very smart outline, typical head and expression, good to go over; well knit & in good muscular condition. Very well presented. BOB. Pug Puppy (1, 0) 1st) Saffer & Swinge’s Bubbapug Summer Sundae, very typical bitch showing a lot of promise, cobby thoughout; good head & eye, firm body & in super condition. Used herself well on the move and was very typical. BOB, BPIB & Toy Puppy Group 2. Post Graduate (2, 0) 1st) Taberer’s Sicorn Not Mr Justlovejoy, good sized dog, lots to like & very typical in head and expression, can pace a touch but when settled into his stride showed a free, typical action. 2nd) Symphorien’s Rienmour Gully Gauche, very smart dog; taller on leg than the winner & not so balanced in profile, otherwise very typical, good head and eye, thick set & very cobby. Open (2, 0) 1st) Symphorien’s Rienmour Oh My Gauche, great name & mother of Gully Gauche; lots to like, sound and shapely, very good head and eye, thick set & cobby throughout, well muscled, sound and free on the move. 2nd) Alexander’s Tangetoppens Easy To Say Treveth JW ShCM (IMP NOR) ShCEx VW, looks great for his years, touch heavier than the winner as is to be expected, good head and eye, very firm body, excellent tail & goes well on the move. Pomeranian Puppy (5, 3) 1st) Holman’s Altina’s Arizona, beautiful puppy showing lots of promise; exquisite head and eye, well made throughout and super bodyshape. Super shape and size, very sound on the move; BPIB & Toy Puppy Group 3. 2nd) Brown’s Altina’s Mississippi Blue, close up to the winner and I see by the same sire; winner had the edge on the go around here but lots to like & another who should finish well, as he is made well throughout an dis most typical. Junior (1, 0) 1st) Holman’s Altina’s Viva Las Vegas, another similarly bred from this clever breeder, lots to like & should have a good career if he matures on in this fashion; very good head and eye, typey throughout and moves with a typical, easy fashion. Open (1, 0) 1st) Holman’s Ch Altina’s Henry Higgins JW, super dog, excellent expression and balance to head and skull, good to go over, firm quarters; in excellent muscle and really uses himself on the move. A class act, BOB & Toy Group 4. Japanese Chin Junior (2, 0) 1st) Baranzeck’s Capevidles Chinook, very smart youngster just needing to drop into himself now and mature up in body but plenty of time yet; excellent head and eye, good forehand, excellent hindquarters & goes so soundly on the move; would not want any more marking on the body. 2nd) Baranzeck’s Capevidles Lemon Drizzle, 12 months & not quite so confident as her kennelmate yet; enough head and eye, ears a touch flyaway; firm topline & probably a bit more forward in body than her kennelmate, but not quite as ready yet on the move or on the table. Shows promise. Very well handled by her sympathetic owner which I admired. Post Graduate (1, 0) 1st) Reeves-Sargant and Diment’s Alstella Charleigh, very typical of his breeding, really liked him and he is a class act; beautiful head an eye, well bodied & is quite ready to trouble the best when he gains in confidence. A good future ahead. Open (1, 0) 1st) Reeves-Sargant and Diment’s Alstella Eadweard, I thought my ‘raw’ find of the day, with a little more exposure this dog could be a big winner, he has so much I like about the breed, super expression with a certain look of astonishment, really so little to dislike & again with the benefit of a little more exposure this dog is Ch quality; BOB & cut to final six in a lovely Toy Group where he was only unplaced with a Papillon I rate highly and have given a CC to. Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) Junior (1, 0) 1st) Sutton’s Ultra Violette De L’Isle Au Vert Coteau Nikitos (IMP FRA), lovely shape and size, excellent head and ears; good forehand & firm topline, neat shape & with a touch more confidence will be a very exciting bitch. Young yet & with plenty of time. BOB. Post Graduate (4, 1) 1st) Sutton’s Ultima Tom De L’Isle Au Vert Coteau Nikitos (IMP FRA), must be a Ch in the making with this style and class, excellent head and eye, beautiful quarters and so typical on the move. Really smart & excellently presented and handled. 2nd) Hicks’ Uran Z Olteckeho Pelisku At Casiatodo (IMP CZE), it must be a day for long Chihuahua names! Very smart fellow, completely with a mind of his own; lots to like on the table & is head is correct and typical, firm topline & good tail; does the bare minimum on the move purely because he can; but he is sound and shapely. Open (3, 0) 1st) Sutton’s Terrible Terry De L’Isle Au Vert Coteau Nikitos (IMP FRA), lots to like here, just needs a touch more weight to reach his full potential; can imagine he is a busybody, beautiful head and eye, such a sassy attitude, uses himself well and briskly on the move & is a real charmer. Chinese Crested Puppy (3, 0) 1st) Bartlett’s Exotic Spirit Undercover of The Darkness, typical Puff; most together in this class, good head and eye, firm ears; good forehand and decent forelegs; firm topline; could be a touch more accurate up & back but young yet & with lot of promise. Best here in profile. 2nd) Piper’s Miatory Split Decision for Zanjero, hairless & full measure, good head and eye, firm body, wouldn’t want him any bigger or longer; very stylish on the move but just needs to pull together; has time & is in excellent skin presentation and condition. Junior (3, 1) 1st) & 2nd) – exactly the same as Puppy. Post Graduate (2, 1) 1st) Panayiotis’ Ynchreenoo Masquerade, good head and eye, excellent forehand, firm topline, in good muscle and skin condition, used himself well on the move and stood on good legs and feet. Open (2, 0) 1st) Panayiotis’ Ynchreenoo Kesmadyn Shee, very nice type; good head and eye, firm quarters, neat topline and underline; carried herself fairly well on the move & was very typical and I thought the one today who most fitted my interpretation of the breed standard. BOB. 2nd) Bartlett’s Michadaine Crazy For You ShCM VW, almost 10 years old, this Puff is a real credit to his owner, in excellent condition he doesn’t look half his age; used himself so well on the move, going with a free and easy action. Very admirable. AVNSC Toy Puppy (3, 2) 1st) Holman’s Altina’s Adelaide, beautiful Australian Silky Terrier who is something quite special; very expressive head; super quarters & firm topline. Tail set and carried well and moves with ease and power, coupled with accuracy and some style. Lots to like and with a touch more confidence, will trouble the best. BAVNSCP. 2nd) Morris’ Rothermere Pandora, quality Havanese from this well known kennel, attending one of her early shows and loving it just as she should; super head and eye, good body & firm topline. When she learns how to show herself off, which she will, then she will be destined for good things. Junior (3, 2) 1st) Hancock’s Coton De Tulear Montewhite Lady Vanilla Love at Cindaires, good head and eye, very good body & correct topline, coat in good order & used herself well on the move. Excellent head and eye, super body and in great muscletone. 2nd) Symphorien’s Rienmour Oh My Gauche, Pug, see breed critique. Toy Group 1st) Affenpincher, Pirrie's Riogaioch Beth Le Hem , lots to like here & good quality throughout; typical head and eye, very firm in body & used herself well on the move, maintaining her shape and going with a good, free action. In good coat, well presented of correct texture, pleased to award her this competitive group. 2nd) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bubb's Wandris Speak Of The Devil, I understand gaining his JW on the day, very nice type & shape, still to mature in body as is to be expected but shows lots of promise; good head with just enough fill, correct eye; firm quarters & uses himself well on the move at all times. Very nice youngster. 3rd) ETT, Pevy & Forsythe's Kikuchi Hollywood Avec Richpin, smart young dog with a lot going for him, balanced outline stood & kept when moving; good head and eye, beautiful ears & super expression; very good to go over, well knit & in super muscular condition.
