Firstly, I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at what is a lovely show. Also, I would like to thank my hardworking steward who kept things going so ably during the day. Finally, I would like to say thank you to all the exhibitors who entered under me giving me a good choice of quality dogs.

Class 91.

Australian Shepherd Dog Open 2

1. Turnbull, Clegram & Hollingword’s Talard She’s Got the Look. 3 year old merle bitch presenting a well balanced outline, level topline on the move and free and easy movement. Good clean head with everything as it should be. Muscling OK and good reach of neck. Slightly sloping pasterns on the front. Well presented and handled. Won this class on maturity. BOB Pleased to award this girl Group 2.

2. Brown’s Shepwood Gazing at Klouds younger bitch presented in good condition with good oval bone. Moved out OK with good level topline, just as free and easy as one. A tad lacking in coat but good clean head and neck. Will follow her progress with interest.

Class 92

BSD Groenendael Limit 2 (1)

1. Ormsby’s Revloch Shakira at Kelflyn. Young bitch well presented with good coat. Stylish outline with head as it should be and well muscled neck. Legs straight and a good tail set. A bit unsettled on the move.

Class 93

BSD Groenendael Open 4 (1)

I was spoilt for choice in this class.

1. Donaldson’s Ch IR Sh Revloch Love me Do IKC JW, Sh Cm IR J Ch. 8 year old girl who belies her age. Excellent angulation front and back. Head as it should be and good neck. Well presented with super quality coat. Moved out with the characteristic brisk economic movement. Pleased to award her BOB and Group 1.

2. Bird & Caden’s Hawksflight Paparazzi at Domburg. When this boy came into the ring I thought I had found my winner as he filled my eye. Lots to like here very masculine. Presented excellently with good angulation front and back. Liked his head and muscular neck. He moved out well but just not as well as 1. on the day. These two could change places anytime.

Class 94

BSD Tervueren 1

1. Arkley’s Domburg On My Mind. Stood alone but worthy of his place. The right substance for a boy. Was taken by his head and ear set. Good strong loin and tail set to match. Front angulation good. Moved out well. Pleased to award this boy Group 3.

Class 95

Bearded Collie Junior 2

1. Weightman’s Debbeacol Its Now or Never. Slate bitch well presented who moved out steadily. Overall proportions as they should be. Liked her head with broad flat skull, moderate stop and correct. Low set tail just would prefer a tad better muscling.

2. Leckenby’s Kiltondale Kisses of Fire at Briaryburn. This young pup was at her first show and clearly enjoying it. Super quality pup with good proportions and angulations. Found concentrating to hard in the class, but did much better in the puppy group and moved out well. BPIB. Puppy Group 1.

Class 96

Bearded Collie Graduate 3 (1)

1. Burgeon’s Cormist Caissa at Lyngem. 2 year old slate girl who moved out well. Super outline which was maintained on the move. Good slope of croup. Enough neck. Liked her head with everything as it should be.

2. Weghtman’s Debbeacol Its Now or Never.

Class 97

Bearded Collie Open 2 (1)

1. Leckenby’s Kiltondale Chicago Flame JW. This boy was all male. He moved out very well with a good level topline and supple smooth movement. Just the right bone and angulation back and front. Well set neck. Good depth of rib. Pleased to award him BOB

Border Collie Junior 1

1. Fisher’s Locheil Written in the Stars. 8 months old boy. Bone good and masculine head with correct stop, ear and eye set. Enough neck. Good depth of chest. Legs parallel. Moved freely with a good level topline. Muscling was adequate. BPIB

Border Collie Graduate 1

1. Hadden’s Simmovon Temptation. Nice masculine boy with good proportions and overall outline. Moved out in the free and smooth fashion you would expect. Angulation was good both back and front. Head ok.

Class 100

Border Collie Open 2 (1)

1. Fisher’s Sevhine Diamonds to Cullain. Another masculine boy with good moderate build who moved without easy unexaggerated style with a good level topline. Well presented with good proportions. Angulations back and front good and tail set just right. Good depth of chest and well sprung ribs. Pleased to award him BOB.

Briard Graduate 1

1. Russell’s Elvinwille Hugo Boss unfortunately a bit unsettled on the move at times, but when he did settle he moved well but he would move better with a touch less weight. Well presented with a good coat. Good head with everything as it should be. Good strong muscular neck. Nice firm back with the correct spring of rib and depth of chest.

Briard Open 1

1, Curren’s Stormymoon Odin ShCex. Substantial boy without being heavy just looking muscular. Super head and expression. Nice length of neck. Strong loin, good depth of rib. Well angulated back and front. Super effortless gait. Well presented. Pleased to award him BOB.

1. Cave’s Casian Ate Powerful looking boy with good coat. Clean cut head with strong muzzle. Ear set right with firm texture. Bone correct. Super depth of chest with good topline, falling away to correctly sloping croup. Angulation of rear good. Moved out well. BOB.

Old English Sheepdog Open 3 (1)

1. Laybourne & Johnson’s Mellowdee Pays in Thyme in Doninoesdale. Veteran boy. Good overall strong square appearance. Presented in good condition. Good square head and strong muzzle. Straight front. Good bone and deep chest. Moved OK. BOB

2. Ferguson’s Mellowdee Soul Man with Lexalby. Young man who still has a bit of maturing to do. Good outline and lovely strong loin. Muscular rear with just the right amount of angulation in the stifle. Moved well. I will be interested to watch this young man progress. BPIB

Pyrenean Mountain Dog Graduate 2 (1)

1. Holme’s Polar Light Pride of America Imp USA. Still a young girl who has a lot of maturing to do. A bit lacking in coat but what coat she had was good quality. Moved out well. Good strong head but feminine with it. Enough neck. Straight back with the appropriate length. Good depth of chest.

1. Holme’s Ch Liijovia Estevez JW Sh CM Sh Cex VW. Veteran boy who filled my eye. Powerful and imposing, Super head, good strong neck. Level topline on the move and good depth of rib. Angulations correct front and rear. Moved out well. BOB Group 4

1. Sibbald’s Picture Perfect for Telforth. Tri colour girl of great elegance. Beautifully presented with good quality coat. Head proportions were as they should be with a super sweet expression. Nice depth of chest and firm back. Good level topline on the move. Pleased to award her BOB.

Rough Collie Open 4 (1)

1. Brand & Reid’s Ronansprey Rumour Has It. Veteran merle girl who out moved all the younger dogs in her class. Beautifully presented in good condition. Lovely feminine head and sweet expression. Angulation good back and front.

2. Donaldson’s Caronlea Celtic Traveller with Fivannte Sable boy who ran 1 a close second. In general a good head and suitably masculine. Good angulation back and front. Well presented – a lot to like.

3. Gibson’s Wicani The Peace Maker.

Shetland Sheepdog Junior 4

1. Clegram’s Smiddyshaw All The Glitz. Tricolour girl, with just enough coat of good quality. Lovely outline with everything in proportion. Graceful economical action. Well put together with good head and tail set. Lots to like. Pleased to award her BOB.

2. Berry & Clegram’s Smiddyshaw Her I Go Again. In better coat than 1 but just did not move out as well on the day. Outline good with lovely elegant head topping a good neck of sufficient length. Angulation good back and front.

Shetland Sheepdog Graduate 2

1. Clegram’s Smiddyshaw Herd A Rumour Sable girl. Moved out well with a good economical action. Overall proportions good. Angulation OK. Presented well with good quality coat.

2. Ward’s Willowthorn Tri Dreamin. Tricolour youngster with overall good proportions. Moved out well just pipped by 1. Good muscular neck with correct length. Angulation good back and front with a good tailset. Well presented. PG4.

Shetland Sheepdog Open 3 (1)

1. Bird & Caden’s Molson Mr Blue Sky JW. Merle boy profusely coated. Loved his head masculine but refined with a good long blunt wedge. Neck of sufficient neck. Good depth of chest and well sprung ribs. Nice slope of croup. Moved out OK.

2. Ward’s Willowthorn Tri Dreamin.

1. Reay’s Sanaquinto Fly By Magic at Jacqueilas Pembroke Corgi with typical workmanlike attitude. Good foxy head. Nice broad and deep chest, nice level back with correct length and strong loin. Good bone. Moved out well.
