Thame & Oxfordshire County Canine Society

I would like to thank the organizers for inviting me to judge at this well-run show and my steward for running the ring seamlessly. Also thank you to the exhibitors for their entries.

Class 414 - Puppy – (1)

1. Dumbrell’s Cheryshd the Way You Are by Bethlyntee. Raw 9 month old male puppy. Broad flat head of correct proportions with strong underjaw and good bite. Eyes toning with coat. Good layback of shoulder with correct front assembly and balanced angulation behind. On the move his gait was easy and balanced. Needs to drop into himself and broaden as he matures. BPIB

Class 415 – Special Yearling (4)

1. Swaby’s Kiltondale Hot Favourite for Marsby. This girl took my eye on first move around the ring with her easy reaching movement. On further examination she did not disappoint. Still has some maturing to do. Broad flat head of correct proportions yet retaining her femininity. Correct bite but underjaw could be stronger. Good front assembly with excellent layback of shoulder and correct slope of croup and angulation behind. Easily the best mover in the class with balanced and effortless movement. Coat sufficient to enhance her without detracting from her shape. RBOB

2. Jones’s Clanwillow Crown and Glory. Masculine boy with excellent head proportions and strong underjaw. Good angulation and moved well. Not quite the reach of 1 but went better as he dropped into himself.

Class 416 – Limit (1)

1. Richard’s Wildan’s Dark Sky at Elemark. An unassuming bitch, plainly marked who would be easy to overlook on initial glance in a large class. She has good head proportions, and correct lay of shoulder. Nice length coming from the rib. Her movement is balanced and moved out better the more she settled into her stride.

Class 417 – Open (4)

1. Dumbrell’s Brodaty Limited Edition at Bethlyntee. On the freestand this dog stood out with correct profile and he has a real ring presence and breed type. For me he epitomises a workmanlike dog with sufficient coat to enhance him without being overdone. He has excellent skull proportions with eyes toning with coat. Good arch of neck into well laid shoulders with good forechest and balanced angulation behind. Correct harsh coat. Movement is easy and balanced. BOB

2. Bird’s Irisaddition She’s All that With Bridus JW. Another one that draws the eye on the stand with her shape. Excellent head with darkest of eyes and lovely expression. Good lay of shoulder, excellent forechest and length coming from the rib. Moved well but just didn’t sparkle in the ring today but it was very hot.
