Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge at this popular, well run show. My most efficient steward, Martin kept the ring moving smoothly. Thank you to the exhibitors for my entry and to the Basenji Owners and Breeders Association for the appointment.

JUNIOR DOG OR BITCH 3

1st Carrington, Mrs A & Carrington, Mr N Ambertail’s Heels On New Shores At Senjiba (Imp Can) Well grown 14-month-old red and white male with a smart, quality outline. Exquisite head of correct proportions with small, well-hooded ears and dark almond shaped eyes giving that far seeing expression. Lovely crested neck into a good front assembly, with the right amount of infill. Short, level back with the desired tail set and curl. Moderately angulated rear with strong, low set hocks. Shown in lovely sleek coat and condition. Moved with a light and free flowing action. Should have a bright future. RBOB

2nd Hardy, Mrs D & Hallam, Mrs P Tokaji Memphis Belle Elegant 14-month-old red and white bitch, ideal in size and outline. Beautiful feminine head, excellently wrinkled with an engaging expression and alert, well hooded ears. Good length of neck leading into well laid shoulders, level in top-line and curvy underline. She has strength to her rear with good width to thighs and parallel hocks. A little enthusiastic on the move at times, but when she got herself together she moved with a long, swinging stride. A promising youngster.

1st Carrington, Mrs A & Carrington, Mr N Ch Lux Ch Bushwacker Oceans Eleven Aristocratic 3-year-old tri male who impressed for his overall type and pleasing body proportions. Loved his masculine, yet elegant head, with correct cushioning to cheeks and the darkest almond shaped eyes. Beautifully crested neck flows smoothly into a well made front assembly, forelegs straight with fine quality bone, strong flexible pasterns and neat feet. Good length and spring to his ribbing, level in top line and strong muscular loin. High tail set with lovely curl and plenty of shelf. Moved with drive; brisk and accurate coming and going and covered the ground in profile. BOB and shortlisted in a strong Hound Group.

1st Hardy, Mrs D & Hallam, Mrs P Tokaji Kiss Me Kate Smart 3-years-old tri bitch, standing squarely and naturally, finely built with a gazelle like grace. She is ideal for size, neat and compact in outline. Very attractive and well proportioned head with good ear set and wrinkle. Lovely arched neck firmly set onto sloping shoulders, level top line and definite tuck up. She has strength in her rear quarters with length to 2nd thigh and strong hocks. Lovely easy stride on the move.
