Judge Mr E Forsey (Muzoku).

I was really honored to judge the Salisbury and south wilts canine society limit show, a huge thank you has to go to the hard working committee and stewards who make these days a success. Lets not forget the exhibitors who brought some lovely dogs of all breeds here today, I know none of today's entries are currently champions but quality shone out in some classes and im sure there will be some that go on to gain that title.

GUNDOG

Puppy D/B (9)

1. Haydon, LOXBOURNE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE (B) super 11 month old English springer spaniel, solidly built compact girl, well toned throughout, cut quite a picture on the move. Pretty head, feminine with an alert friendly expression, good angulation and bone with a pronounced sternum. Best AVNSC Gundog puppy and Best Puppy in Show

2. Harper, PITSWARREN JIKO (B), Hungarian Vizsla just turning 7 months with a real excitement within, very pretty well balanced head, good length of neck and nice angulation, held a good topline on the move and was nice and true away and back.

Yearling D/B (8,2a)

1. Rorke, ZAKHAN’S DIAMOND QUEEN JW (B) elegant Irish setter, composed on the stand, long lean head with dark brown eyes, strong neck well set on shoulders. Good deep chest, slight bend to pasterns and tight feet, slightly sloping topline from withers and moved true covering the ground with ease.

2. Cardiff, FREEBREEZE PIUXAR AT PROSPERITY (B), another nice pointer with good overall confirmation and balance. Clean balanced headpiece, good strong neck, straight legs with slight bend to pasterns. Good depth of chest and strong coupling, in fine body condition.

Graduate D/B (9,2a)

1. Wareham, PRESTIJ NACHII MANDARIN SHIK (IMP RUS) (D) 2 year old Clumber with a large square head, dark eyes and friendly expression, thick neck, well angulated forequarters with solid bone. Strong back and short muscular loin, pulled out the stops and moved with a really effortless stride

2. Parkin, KEEPERSFIELD SIMONE (B), Black and White Pointer, pretty girl with balanced head piece, long neck with slight arch, nice forequarters and sufficient depth of chest, well up on toes, good tuck up and rear turn of stifle, covered the ground easily

1. Rorke, ZAKHAN’S DIAMOND JACK JW (D) Irish setter, brother to my yearling class winner and carrying a lot of the same breed type and quality, masculine head, held with an air of dignity, well angulated forequarters and deep chest, covered the ground with ease. What a super brother and sister they are.

2. Waterman, CAROLAKE WISH UPON A STAR (B), solidly built 2 year old Golden retriever, broad chiselled head bust still feminine, balanced muzzle to skull proportions, muscular neck, well set on shoulders, Deep well sprung ribs and short coupling. True on the moved with a ground covering gait.

1. Kiely, GUNFIELD PHANTOM (D) seven your old Hungarian Vizsla brimming with quality, handsome boy, with strong features but kind expression. Strong neck well set on shoulders, well laid shoulders and elbows held in tight, deep and broad chest, lovely round well arched tight feet, nice topline with tail well set on croup. Move true and with purpose. Best AVNSC gundog and Reserve Best in show

2. Rorke, ZAKHAN’S THE RED LE BARON (D) another lovely Irish setter, quite the picture on the stand with a fine profile outline from head to tail, in good rich coat, strong neck and well laid shoulders, strong powerful rear with a good bend of stifle.

1. Boughton, PARKBALK ARIEL DIANELL (B) young Braque D’Auvergne, quite broad skull with long ears set well back. Nice and supple to the touch, dark oval eyes and strong muzzle, good neck , nice lay of shoulder with deep chest, elbows could be a little tighter to body, nice turn of stifle and move cleanly at a steady pace.

HOUND

Puppy D/B (2)

1. Forge, NORMPUG ROMAN HOLIDAY (D) seven month old Min Smooth Dachshund, black and tan colored. Balanced head with slight arch to skull, almond shaped dark eyes, ears well set and alert. Well angulated with elbows well under chest, quite long in loin. Covered the ground with a brisk striding action.

2. Hayes and Hook, RANGALI DENNIS THE MENACE (D), baby puppy Basset Fauve De Bretagne at just 7 months. Solid boy, with pretty head, nice shoulder angulation, depth and spring of rib. Unsettled on the move today only showing glimpses of what he is capable.

1. Hayes and Hook, RANGALI YUM NUT (D), what a super 15 month Basset Fauve De Bretagne, balanced masculine head with nice shape to occiput, ear set level to eyeline, well boned and good muscular tone for a youngster, well angulated front and rear, true on the move with a ground covering gait. Beast AVNSC Hound

2. Saxby, SANDSPRING SEA MASTER (D), fawn masculine Whippet, masculine head, slight stop with good straight plane of muzzle, round bright eyes, well set ears, nice profile to topline with enough curve over loin and drop to croup. True on the move out and back and light on his feet.

Graduate D/B (6,4a)

1. Forge, NORMPUG PRAIRIE MOON (B) black and tan colored Min Smooth Dachshund, head in balance with body, more compact in profile than some, strong loin, well angulated and toned throughout, moved true with a brisk stride.

2. Davis, JEMALSHEVA GOLDIKOVA (B), fawn Whippet, six years old, pretty head and nice profile on the stand showing good balance, nice flow from neck, over shoulders and rise over loin. strong rear with good tone, moved true away and back, kept dropping into a pacing gait.

1. Saxby, RUNAROUND AMAZIN GRACE WITH SANDSPRING (B) 5 year old fawn Whippet, long lean head with lovely eyes and elegant arch to neck, well laid shoulder and graceful arch over the loin, in good muscle tone throughout, cover the ground and true on the move.

2. Copperthwaite, ALCALIPHS BELISAMA (B), two year old Saluki, long feminine head of nice proportion, moderate lay of shoulder and return of upper arm. Long forelegs with slight bend to pasterns, depth of chest just above height at elbows. Low rear hocks, moved true away and back.

1. Strong, SHAHZAD ZAKI TER DOLEN (IMP BEL) (D) four year old Saluki in super body condition who just takes your breath away on the move with his elegant long reaching stride, lovely profile, long neck with well laid shoulders and deep chest and nice underline.

2. Wilkinson, RAINSTER EILEX AMONG HUNACRES (B) lovely Irish Wolfhound, pretty head, long and well proportioned, nice dark eyes with well set ears, nice course coat, strong neck and well laid shoulders, good bend of stifle at the rear, tight well arched feet, moved true.

Puppy D/B (4)

1. Richardson, AIRECHIEN SAVANNA (B) lovely well-schooled 7 month old Airedale, elegant in profile, balanced head, good deep muzzle and overall length to skull, dark eyes, good length of neck, well angulated and tight round feet. Nice and true o the away and back. Best AVNSC Terrier puppy

2. Long, DUNKESWELL PEPPER DASH (B), pretty head on this young Bedlington, well set filbert shaped ears, nice shape to neck, moderately angulated, a touch straight at the rear, enough depth to chest, rise over loin, move true and with a light action.

Yearling D/B (3)

1. Harris & Cleaver, RATZWELL JOLLY JUBILEE JW (B), one year old Bedlington that cut a nice profile on the stand, balanced head, nice angulation, deep chest with flat ribs, good underline and arch over loin. Another who was light on her feet.

2. Long, TRAVELLERWAYS GODWIN AT DUNKESWELL (D), another one year old Bedlington, some similar nice proportions to class winner in balance of head and body, just a little finer throughout, especially for a male.

Graduate D/B (3)

1. Hands & Wyatt, SKYESAFFS TAKE ON ME (B) 22 month old black Staffordshire Bull terrier, nicely balanced in head and body, solidly constructed but still retaining her feminine looks. Short strong neck, well laid shoulders and tight elbows. In good muscle tone and moved powerfully. Best AVNSC Terrier

2. Long, DUNKESWELL PEBBLE RUN (B), two year old Bedlington, narrow head of good length with well placed dark eye, a little light in neck and depth of chest, nice rear angulation and length of hock, moved nice and true in all aspects.

1. Hayes & Hook, DIDDIMONT ANDANTE AT KAREZIG (B) very nice Dandie Dinmont, broad skull, moderate stop, dark round eyes, ears set well back on skull. Strong neck and well laid shoulders, deep chest with good spring of rib, short strong coupling, free action and true on the move.

1. Richardson, MULIEBRITY RIPPLES WITH AIRECHIEN (B) good sized 2 year old Airedale, strong but feminine head, good muscular neck, well laid shoulders, deep chest and clean underline. Held a nice topline on the move, short strong coupling and high set tail.

2. Hands & Freeman, SIRIUSTAFF HEART OF GLASS AT SKYESTAFF (B) older black Staffordshire Bull terrier with a strong head, short muzzle, distinct stop and broad skull, short strong neck, well boned straight legs with tight feet aside a deep strong chest. Held a nice topline on the move.

1. Yeates, MERRYANNA LILY THE PINK (B), 11 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, in good coat of Blenheim colour, very pretty head, nice flow of neck into shoulders which were well laid, a little excitable but moved well once settled with good driving action at the rear. Best AVNSC Toy puppy

2. Mack, ALURA PRINCE TO MINITOPO (D), Italian Greyhound, long skull with slight stop in equal proportions, well arched neck, good deep ribs with short loin and sufficient arch back, well laid shoulders, moved a little wide at rear.

Mason, FINITY RUN THE GAUNTLET (D), quite lovely well built tri colored Papillon, masculine but not over done, fine muzzle, shorter than length from stop to occiput, round dark eyes and large alert ears well set apart, nice angulation and moved with a brisk and true action covering the ground. 2. Beech & Schofield, ROXMARR BRANCHING OUT (D), powerfully built 11/2 year old Pug, short blunt muzzle, broad skull between ears, round dark eyes with soft expression. Strong neck, good lay to shoulder and broad powerful chest, decided to play up and show off his hackney action today which cost him today.

Yeates, VONNYISLE ANGEL AFFECT WITH MERRYANNA (B) Another tidy blenham colored Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, sweet expression coming from her lovely dark well set eyes, true on the stand, with good angulation, good spring of rib, flowing level topline and well set tail, could be a little tidier with her rear movement.

Well set round eyes, with flat skull between ears, well ribbed with short strong coupling, well angulated front and rear which propelled her around the ring. Best AVNSC Toy

2. Waterman, BURLEYBECK BEAR GRYILS (D) three year Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, masculine head features, nice set to good sized ears and friendly expression. In good body condition and well angulated front and rear. True on the move but needs to extend more on the move.

1. Erskine-jones & Guy, UNOHOO MAGICAL MADDIE (B) solid but feminine Tibetan Terrier youngster with a square outline, good spring of rib with sufficient depth, well angulated front and rear which propelled her with a reaching and powerful side gait. Best AVNSC Utility puppy

2. Davis, TWYBROOK BARENHAUTER (D), tidy 7 month old Kooikerhondje, balanced head with good fill under his dark almond shaped eyes and well set ears completing his expression. Well angulated with deep chest, held elbows tight when moving with an energetic gait.

1. Bull & Warren, JOLEROB ONE WAY OF PUTTIN IT AT STARFERRY (B), super head on this one year old Shar Pei, balanced in length from stop to occiput, broad well padded muzzle. Strong neck flowing into good front angulation. Nice spring of rib with moderate wrinkle coving shoulders, clean on the move once settled.

2. Dickenson, STERLINGWAY NAME YA POISON AT SORVIODUNUM (D), silver colored standard Poodle, almond shaped dark eyes, ears in proportion to size, moderately angulated with good topline on the move and slight slope to croup. could be tidier on the stand.

1. Kitcher, JAVEYS JASMIN (B) 3 year old pretty Tibetan Terrier with a balanced headpiece, in full black coat, just off square with body length greater than height at withers, well angulated and good spring of ribs, moderate angulation at rear, moved true away and back

1. Saunders, LIEFKEES ALEIDA (B) Almost 2 year old smart Keeshond, compact body in good coat giving a nice outline in profile. Pretty and balanced head with nice penciling. Well angulated front with good bone, slight slope to pasterns, matching rear. Nice on the move in all aspect.

2. Kitcher, JAVEYS SABASTIAN (D) clean moving three year old Tibetan Terrier, sturdy in build with a square outline, strong muzzle with a moderate stop and alert dark eyes. Deep chest to elbows and nice breadth. Held a good topline with short strong loin.

2. Davis, MILLHANGER KEMBOY (D) Solid well built Kooikerhondje, masculine head while retaining a friendly expression, strong neck set on well angulated front with matching rear. Good depth of chest and nice topline which he held on the move.

Plummer, ARITAUR YENNEFER (B), Dobermann, just over the year of age this girl has a classic outline, good planes on skull, strong neck, slight slop to topline, well angulated, combining strength and confirmation without exaggeration. On the move she didn’t disappoint moving true and covering the ground with ease while retaining her elegant outline. Best AVNSC Working and BIS

2. Lawrence, Lawrence & Ellis, FALKOR POETRY IN MOTION (B), German Pinscher just over a year in age, head showing a good blunt wedge, with tight muzzle and eye rims, eyes oval, strong neck, well angulated throughout, square in outline with short strong loin, covered the ground well on the move.

1. Aylett, RILLATON LAKOTA FOR ME (B) good sized Giant Schnauzer, balanced head with good parallel planes to skull and a strong muzzle, slight arch to neck, well set on sloping shoulders, strong bodied and low strong hocks at the rear, clean and balanced on the move.

2. Wickers, SWEET DREAMS DES SARMENTINES (IMP FRA) (B) Siberian Husky with a pretty head who covered the ground with energy on the move, long in rib making her a little long in body overall, well angulated with good set to tail. Moved cleanly coming and going.

1. Cleary, BENELLIESON TIME IN MOTION (B) substantial two year old Leonberger, good sized head in balance with body, length of muzzle to skull equal, moderate stop, oval expressive eyes, strong neck and with good bone throughout. moved cleanly coming and going and correct in profile

2. Ellis, DREAMWOLVES MOULIN ROUGE (B) quite a strong but pretty head on this Siberian Husky, well set triangular ears, nice arch to neck, well angulated front and rear, a little long in profile, well set tail carried well on the move.

1. Wickers, VUKASINS JACK O’LANTERN (D) three year old Siberian Husky with a masculine head, pleasing alert expression from his dark almond shaped eyes. Well angulated front and rear with good body condition, smooth action on the move covering the ground effortlessly.

2. Harvey-Miller, FALKOR’S LITTLE MAZIKEEN AT KARIWIGHT (B) solidly built German Pinscher, pretty head with good planes and deep muzzle, moderate angulation front and rear, high set to tail, clean on the move, could hold elbows tighter.

1. Mcshane, SHELRIDGE SPARKLE AGAIN (D) young blue merle coloured Shetland sheepdog. Nice side profile with good arch to neck, deep chest and level topline, good slope to croup and set of tail, still needs time to mature. Best AVNSC pastoral puppy

2. Hall, KAYARRACH PART OF YOUR WORLD (D), good sized young Estrela Mountain Dog, balanced outline and looked in good condition, with enough bone and good coat. Overalled by the occasion today and would let me go over him.

1. Creamer, CLANAVON MY BLUE HEAVEN AT LYNGARSO (B), Shetland sheepdog, obliquely set, almond shaped eyes and well set ears complimenting her expressive features. Good arch to neck and well angulated front which provides a good pro sternum which many are lacking. Moved briskly with a good length of stride.

Harrell & Branchflower, TITAN DES RAMPARTS CASTELS WITH BEAUKITA (IMP FRA) (D) Almost 2 year old Beauceron, powerful male full of breed type, masculine head but not overdone, strong neck, moderate angulation front and rear in good body condition, excelled on the move with reach and drive. Best AVNSC Pastoral

2. Allen, SANBRAKEL SUNSHINE BREEZE (B) unassuming 2 year old Shetland sheepdog, wedge shaped head with good fill under eyes and sweet expression, good angulation front and rear, slight slope to pasterns and tidy oval feet. Moved true at a steady pace.

1. Creamer, LYNGARSO CAPTAIN TOM (D) Tri coloured three year old Shetland sheepdog, masculine head without coarseness, good sized well set ears, good neck and well angulated, in profile just off square, good slope of croup, steady on the move.

1. Mcshane, BLENMERROW RING OF ROSES (B) I have judged this pretty and well balanced Shetland sheepdog before and she didn’t disappoint either time, super balanced head and expression, good angulation and true on the move in all aspects, a little out of coat today but still beaming with quality.

2. Harrell & Branchflower, BEAUKITA’S MCCRORY PARK (B) Almost 3 year old Beauceron, pretty head, moderate stop set equally between nose and occiput, parallel planes to muzzle and skull, moderately angulated and another in super body condition throughout.
