It was a pleasure to be asked to judge all the Working Classes including the Group along with the Open Stakes & the Good Citizen Class by this very Friendly Society. A big thank you to my stewards Hayley & Charlotte who kept my ring in order and to the Exhibitors for the quality entry.

ALASKAN MALAMUTE

PG [3 0] 1st Smith Cash The Check Shamanrock At Snowshoes [imp CZE] This smart 14 month male impressed when he entered the ring full of presence and expression. He is well put together with a strong masculine head & correct furrow between the eyes, neat well set ears & a clean neck with a nice lay of shoulder. He has very good bone & feet and a strong rear & low set hocks. Very good mover at all speeds. I’m sure he has a bright future Best of Breed & GROUP 2. 2nd Edwards & Molloy, Wintablizard Happy Hour. Well-proportioned 7 month old female with excellent breed type, very feminine with good length of leg, excellent ears, and dark almond shaped eyes. She has good bone, strong neck, deep chest and very good top line, moved well with good foot placement. Best Puppy & Puppy Group 1.

O [2 1] 1st Smith Snowshoes Stop & Stare , 5 Year old female a very good breed type, feminine head, good ears, nice arch to neck , has good fore chest, well developed ribs & a firm topline. She has low set hocks with a strong rear & nice coat & good feet. Res Best of Breed.

SY [2 0] 1st Ingram & Ray Boxerway April Kiss 9 month old female of very good breed type with a well-proportioned head ,dark eyes with a good expression. She has very good proportions with a long neck & correct shoulders which is well laid. Firm topline & well ribbed, she has a good bend of stifle and strong sound hocks. On the move she is still very much a baby but the longer she went & settled she showed a strong Gait. Best of Breed & Puppy Group 2. 2nd Kurien Levisbrooks Damon Salvador, Just 6 months & very much a baby, he has a super outline in stance with a very expressive male head, with a lovely eye & expression. He has well laid shoulders with a strong neck, he needs to develop in his chest and he is well ribbed. Strong firm topline with good hind angulation. He displayed good movement but needs to firm up in his hocks but at 6 months he has time to develop. L [0 0] O [1 1]

DOBERMANN

PG [3 1] 1st Webb & Mullins, Protocol’s The Midas Touch , 13 month old B/t male of excellent breed type, square, muscular and compact in profile short coupled throughout with a very good forechest & good depth of brisket. Very firm in his topline with a good height at wither, masculine head with parallel planes and very good expression. He was in excellent condition and very sound coming and going, displaying a strong coordinated side gait. 2nd Caldicott, Aritaur Cirilla with Philmont, 11 month old B/T female which is very well constructed ,feminine throughout but retaining strength & athleticism . Parallel head planes with well set ears& a dark eye. Well-developed body and ribs are well sprung. She has a firm sloping topline with excellent round bones & tight feet. On the move she displayed a balanced sound gait.

O [7 2] 1st Bowdler, Lateagain Zenyatta For Inverteign Over 3 year old B/T female of excellent breed type, a real show girl who impressed from the start with her excellent show presence. She has a well-shaped feminine head flat skull with a correct stop, dark eyes and a super neck firm topline & well developed chest with strong round bones & tight feet .Completely sound all through, displaying an excellent coordinated gait and very firm topline. I was pleased to award her Best of Breed over an excellent young male and later to give her Group 1 Congratulations. 2nd Edyveane & Hunt, Virsco Vagabond, 6 month old Quality male puppy, balanced all through with a masculine head & level parallel planes, correct length and depth of muzzle and a dark eye . Firm elegant neck sloping topline, correct tail set & moved soundly demonstrating an excellent reach & drive with a firm back. Best Puppy.

O [2 1] 1st Knight, Morwinas Lysander, 15 month old male well presented in excellent condition. Pleasing head, medium dark eye and tight lips. Good bone & excellent feet. Nice flow from neck into a very good topline. Moved soundly with a good ring presence. Best of Breed.

NEWFOUNDLAND

O [1 0] 1st Newton, Stelamah Quiang at Shlarra JW ShCM An 8 year old Black male of super breed type, excellent coat texture and condition. Well balanced angulation front & rear. Confident and outgoing personality with a lovely broad head & balanced features, tight lips with good eye shape & colour. Strong bones & good feet with strong hocks. In movement he maintained his shape at all times and moved soundly throughout. Best of Breed & Group 3.

SY [1 1] L [1 0] 1st Eynott, Jezeve Perfect Storm At Bohannons 22 month old male standing on good bone & feet ,shown in very good coat & condition with an excellent temperament. Very pleasing head of good proportions, dark almond eye giving a nice expression. Well placed ears, nice neck on high withers. Excellent chest & fore chest, with a firm topline which was maintained in movement. He was sound coming and going and displayed a fluid coordinated gait at all speeds. Best of Breed & Group 4.

J [2 1] 1st New, Etterbern Forever First, 12 month old male on the day ,a really good young male with lovely shape & proportions & good leg length . Very nice head & expression, with good length of neck, tight eyes & a well laid shoulders. His chest is deep & broad & the topline is level with well sprung ribs. Good angulation in the front & rear and very sound both ways. In movement he is still very much a baby and at the start he did play his handler up a bit, but as time went on he settled and displayed a very good gait. Best Puppy [AVNSC] & Puppy Group 4

PG [6 3] 1st Cox, Gertlush Nimueh For Rainwilds, 2 year old Bull Mastiff female presented in lovely coat & condition, she has broad square skull & a well-defined stop, and good mouth. Strong neck line leading into a firm level topline and a short back. She is well angulated fore & aft with strong bones. In movement she displayed a spacious coordinated gait at all speeds, very sound coming & going.

Best AVNSC. 2nd Kohlman, Brintala Apollo, 3 year old German Pinscher male of very good breed type, shown in excellent coat & condition. He has a very pleasing head with a kind expression, His neck & shoulders are firm with a strong level topline & correct tail carriage. He moves very soundly fore & aft and displays very good movement. Reserve Best AVNSC. O [3 3]

Lovely Head & expression, very feminine, excellent fore & hind angulation with well sprung ribs, firm level topline, and very sound coming and going and displayed a very coordinated side gait.

AV OPEN STAKES [PASTORAL/WORKING/ TOY/ TERRIER]

O [19 8] 1st Sharpe & Dyer, Ch Catsun Comanche Legacy ShCEx, 7 year old Hungarian Puli male, well what can I say about this worthy Champion who I have judged before and given him a Group. He impressed me then and he certainly did again today as he excels in breed type, with a super head & expression, super front assembly and the most fantastic Hind angulation. His coat was in the most fantastic condition as it was 2years ago when I last went over him. He moved with drive & purpose using those lovely strong hocks to full effect. Congratulations to his owners for presenting him so well, I was also glad to see him go Pastoral Group 2. 2nd Meaden Beauborne Nadal At Topmead, 2 Year old Griffon Bruxellois male, who has excellent breed type. He has a very good coat & colour, with a very good head and good width of the muzzle and a strong underjaw & very neat ears. Good front assembly & strong bones and correct feet. He is sound coming & going with an excellent side profile. This little chap comes to life when he powers around the ring and demands attention, full of life comes to mind. Tough competition between first and second, two very good dogs, a pleasure to judge.

A.V GOOD CITIZEN DOG SCHEME [PASTORAL/WORKING/TOY/ TERRIER]

[10 8] 1st Frost, Frost-Treadwell & Walmsley, Trelowen Amelia At Frostisen 6 year old Norwegian Buhund female presented in good coat & condition, lovely square outline with good feet, nice head & excellent ears & eye colour. When standing holds a lovely outline & when moving has a nice brisk, light movement.

She is sound coming & going and presents a pleasing picture. 2nd Ellis & Crosby, Tabanyaruu Borealis Bliz, 2 year old Finnish Lapphund female who was presented in very good coat & condition, she has a lovely head & expression with good width of skull & a nice length of neck. Her front angulation is correct but would like a little more length to her upper arm, correct rear angles with a firm level topline. Sound coming and going with a pleasing side gait.
