PG (1): 1 BOB Northey’s Jakobstown One Fine Day, o/w dog of 3 years, stands on lovely tight well-arched feet - even on the equestrian floor, lovely disposition & shows well for his handler. Strong oval bone through the forearms, good depth of flew, strong through the loin, good rear angulation, displays power on the move. Slightly long cast & a little loose in left elbow otherwise a smart boy.
German Shorthaired Pointer
P (4,1a): 1 BP & PG3 Aspinall’s Valger Thomasina, quality 7 months l/w at her first show. Really lovely baby, thought her very smart, balanced with everything clean & fluid with no broken lines. Lovely to go over too, good front assembly, excellent rear angles, healthy sheen to coat. Once handler gets to grips with her, there will be more fun times ahead. I also awarded her PG3; 2 Edlin’s Mistcapel Storm Shadow, l/w dog, presents a nice outline when stacked; balanced with good angles fore & aft. Nothing is exaggerated. 1 is more together; 3 Goff, Goff & Dales’ Seasham Embrace at Shoshoni.
O (2): 1 BOB Edlin’s Graygees Tsarine, liver ticked bitch of 3 years, lovely outline stacked, presents a typical picture of balance & power, nothing exaggerated, correct corresponding angles fore & aft, good bone for size- feminine, good spring of rib & in toned condition. She won the class on her overall anatomical soundness. Handler just needs to encourage her charge to get her head up on the move. This will make a world of difference to her performance; 2 RBOB Mewse’s Allezweck Toccoa at Krimsha, l/w of 4 years, very showy male in lovely muscled condition & beautifully presented, brisket down to elbow, well laid shoulders, taut through the loin, good rear angulation. Preferred topline & tail carriage of 1.
AV Imported Breed Register Gundog
O (1): 1 Burton’s Novaforesta Sporting Life, Barbet, black with white, just a puppy, lovely disposition, kind eye, level topline, smart, his young handler did an excellent job of turning him out, he really is so well balanced & smart with all limbs facing the right direction. He is also a really free mover. Fun times ahead for these two.
AVNSC Gundog
J (3): 1 RBAVSNC Gundog, Tye’s Irisbel The Greatest Showman at Tymora, liver Field Spaniel, won the class on his eye-catching movement. Masculine & well off for bone, open nostrils, level topline, strength through the rear pasterns, presents a nice picture standing and can’t be denied on the move; 2 Osborn’s Killara’s Pass the Crown to Elgert (Imp USA), liver & tan Field Spaniel, stacks up lovely, good bone for size, correct depth of flew, clean over the topline, good rear angles. Would prefer a cleaner neck into shoulder transition. Beat a lovely Spanish Water Dog into 3 Searles’ Rommy De Ubbadat (Imp).
PG (1): 1 Woolley & Thompson’s Chrisan Cario, Weimaraner, lovely disposition, so happy to be here today, stacks up well, brisket down to elbow, strong through the loin, good rear angulation. Has a tendency to pace but I suspect in an outside in a spacious ring where he has the space to get into his stride, he wouldn’t do this. Very well handled.
O (3): 1 BAVNSC Gundog & G2, Osborn’s Sh Ch Elgert Private Dancer, liver Field Spaniel, beautiful bitch, exceptional quality, lovely standing, ,moving & to go over. Pretty head, clean neck into well laid shoulders, good front & lovely ribbing, in good condition & well presented.
