Eastbourne & District Canine Society

Pointers

P (2): Both l/w litter sisters in 1 & 2 & very alike. 1 BP Barham’s Alozia Zephryne, raw baby, just 1 day shy of 12 months, the more together of the two at this stage. Clean neck into sloping shoulders, brisket down to elbow, correct turn of stifle. Handled with kindness. Preferred her rear pasterns over 2 Cobden’s Alozia Zantini, presents a pleasing outline, slightly more bone than her sister, liked her head, clean neck into shoulders, brisket down to elbow, good turn of stifle. Preferred tailset of 1.

Y (5, 1a): 1 Cardifff’s Freebreeze Pixar at Prosperity, really lovely o/w bitch, stood out to me as she is so well made, feminine & has a lovely outline. Pretty head, good bone for size, correct rear angles. She moved well too, precise, happy & using her tail. I liked her a lot; 2 Norbury & Ganney’s Heartbury Matador, upstanding rangy o/w dog, presents a lovely outline when stacked up, so clean cut & smart. Clean neck into sloping shoulders, well-muscled quarters. Not the movement of 1, needed a bit more oomph but he had to contend with frequent bursts of extreme heat; 3 Hazeltine & Razzell’s Corotine Queen Bea.

PG (4): 1 H Matador; 2 Kennedy’s Droveborough’s Enid Blyton, b/w, presents a lovely outline when stacked with strength through the topline, good bone for size, brisket down to elbow & well bent stifles. Her elbow could be a little tighter to the chest wall & would like to see her moved a little quicker; 3 Barham’s Droveborough’s Mocha Mayhem.

O (10, 2a): What a lovely class, full of quality. 1 BOB & G1 Norbury, Adams & Upton’s Heartbury Belacqua, very close decision between 1 & 2. Mature l/w bitch in lovely condition. Soundly made, nothing is exaggerated. Wide open nostrils, good bone for size, feminine, strength through the topline, clean neck into sloping shoulders, taut through the loin, well-muscled hindquarters, good bend of stifle. Enthusiastic on the move, went with drive with good use of her tail. Handler skilfully presents her to advantage with the minimum of fuss; 2 RBOB Welch, Maber & Hazeltine’s Clamerkin Jubilee Surprise at Hookwood JW, b/w bitch, another of super quality, good bone for size, stacks up well, nice to go over too – everything flows, good ribbing, strength through the pelvic limbs which she used to advantage on the move. Beat another quality bitch in 3 Perren’s Evaluna Chasing Rainbows at Hookwood JW.
