I would like to thank the society for extending this invitation. Thank you also to the exhibitors for entering their dogs under me and taking my decisions with good grace. 

Dachshund Std Long-Haired P (1,0) 1 Roberts Swansford Padwanador. A 7-month-old well fed, masculine boy. Well balanced all through, correct head, firm neck and well laid shoulders, good fore chest. Did not move as soundly as his sister today. J (1,0) 1 Roberts Swansford Padmeadora. Litter sister to puppy winner. A feminine, attractive, well-presented puppy full of the quality one would expect from this kennel. Well balanced, correct head, dark eye and super neck leading to an excellent front. Moved well with drive, attentive to handler and held level topline on the move. BOB & BP. Pleased to hear she later won hound group 2 and best hound puppy.

Dachshund Std Wire-Haired P (2,0) 1 Buxton’s Hazelglade Harriet. 8-month-old moderate, attractive bitch of good proportion and balance. Excellently prepared coat, correct head, dark almond eye, well ribbed and moved with drive. BP. 2 Beagrie’s Feldhund Moonlight. 11-month-old handsome boy of good substance and very well-prepared coat. Typical head and correct eye, just didn’t move as well as 1 today. J (2,0) 1 Buxtons Hazelglade Harriet. As above. 2 Beagrie’s Feldhund Show The Way. 11 month old feminine bitch of good size, lovely coat, good length of ribbing, moved okay. PG (7,1)1 Sieminski’s Wyldetarn Gensis. A well-constructed, feminine bitch of good size & quality, conical head with good eye, excellent shoulders, level topline with sound movement away and back and excellent side profile. BOB. 2 Clayton-Smith’s Cairparavel Hartnell. Attractive boy, with lots to like. Well presented, with lovely harsh coat, correct shaped head & ear, not so settled on the move and needs to firm up at the backend. O (3,2) 1 Buxtons Wyldetarn Ado. A feminine bitch of size and substance, well-made throughout, lovely almond eye, moved soundly both ways.

Dachshund Min Long-Haired P (2,0) 1) Thomson’s Rivandell Sirus Black- 8-month-old boy of good substance and proportion. Correct head & eye, held level topline on the move. Once settled moved well with drive. Carrying slightly too much weight. He was very proud of his tail today which ruined his outline somewhat. BP. 2 Holtom’s Rivandell Nymphadora. Litter sister to 1. Well balanced with correct head & eye, well placed shoulders, however erratic on the move. J (2,0) 1. Thomson’s Rivandell Sirus Black. As above. 2 Holtrom’s Rivandell Nymphadora, as above. PG (2,1) 1 Holtom’s Rivandell Osha. A pretty, feminine bitch who was balanced, correct head & eye, good length of neck that lead into well laid shoulders, moved well in all directions, lovely side profile, moved with drive. BOB. 

Dachshund Min Smooth-Haired P (4,2) 1. Mutton’s Grand Marnier I Bassi Della Bassa Del Montone- Pleasing youngster with correct head & eye, strong neck leading to well laid shoulders, great fore chest. Moved well with drive. BP. 2. Bosworth’s Cremedax Inspiration at Louromi. Another nice youngster with a pretty head, correct front and tight feet. Slightly long in the body. Moved well round the ring although very happy with her tail which spoiled her outline. J (3,1) 1 Coromina’s Scenterbay Rafael For Ruichango. A well balanced chap with nice head & correct eye. Everything where it should be, excellent front, well muscled rear. Held a level topline whilst powering round the ring. 2 Herald’s Winterfields Lady In Red-Lovely girl of good size, feminine head, soft expression, well balanced. Did not have the drive of 1 today. PG (5,2) 1. Herald’s Winterfield Lucky Star-A feminine bitch of good proportion and balance, presented in excellent condition, conical head & correct eye, good depth of chest, great shoulders and held a level topline on the move. Lovely side profile. 2 Hambling’s Chaseover Pascala, lovely bitch of good balance, correct head & eye, strong chest. Just didn’t move as well as 1. O (3,1). Mutton’s Ivan Poddubny Iz Omskoi Kreposti For Montone. A well balanced, well-proportioned boy on the larger end of the spectrum. Conical head and correct eye, strong neck leading to well set shoulders. Strong front and held a level topline. Very well-muscled and moved round the ring with such purpose and drive he could not be denied BOB. 2. Mutton’s Montone Be Brave. Different type to 1. A strong head and correct almond eye, lovely chest, would prefer her to tighten up all over. 

Dachshund Min Wire-Haired P (2,0) 1. Sieminski’s Dallandor Burdock. A very well put together puppy. Correct conical head & dark almond eye, strong neck leading to well laid shoulders, great fore-chest, held a level topline on the move, sound in all directions. BOB. 2. Jaskolska’s Dachshington Cassiopeia. Different type from 1, a feminine bitch with lovely head, still needs to mature. Would like her to firm up all over and build some muscle at the back end. J (5,0) 1. Sieminski’s Dallandor Burdock. As above. 2. Sieminski’s Dajean Surely A Vision, well balanced girl of good substance & breed type. Preferred 1 overall. PG (3,2) 1.
