1st Brown’s Montalba Mustrum Ridcully - Handsome young dog of 14 months. Well sized for a male and presenting a balanced outline when stood. Clean cut, masculine head with good breadth to skull, strong muzzle of good length, lips fitting well. Moderately sized eyes of good colour, shape and set. Broad, high set ears with well rounded tips. Good length of neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Straight, strong forelegs of strong bone. Chest developing well for age. Well bodied and in good muscular condition throughout, well ribbed back with good spring. Loin short and strong. Firm topline. Muscular hindquarters with well bent stifles and parallel hocks. Moved smoothly covering plenty of ground.

2nd Brown’s Montalba Miss Aching - An ultra feminine 16 month old bitch who scored highly on shape and size. Unfortunately she was just a little unsure of herself today so had to give way to her kennelmate. Really pretty, proportionate head, broad enough skull, muzzle of correct length, nose well developed and well pigmented. Expressive eyes, harmonising with her coat colour. Would prefer just a tad more neck, moderate lay to shoulders, enough chest. Tidy forehand, straight with quality bone. Ribs well sprung and carried well back, muscular broad loin. Level topline. Hindquarters well muscled and angles matching that of her front. Moved well when settled.

1st McCafferty’s Thorscrag Hades JW - Handsome male who got better as he settled into his class. Fit dog in excellent muscular condition, presenting a balanced outline, well sized. Lovely head, masculine without a trace of coarseness, broad skull, slightly rounded, slight rise to nasal bone, powerful muzzle of good length, well developed lips fitting well. Expressive eyes giving pleasing expression. High set, broad ears of good length. Reachy neck of good length, slightly arched and muscular flowing smoothly into a sound front assembly. Good depth of chest, straight forelegs of strong bone. Deep, well sprung ribs carried well back, strong, muscular loin, firm topline kept at all times. Hindquarters muscular, broad and wide at hips with well developed thighs, good bend to stifles and low set parallel hocks. Moved effortlessly with ground covering movement. BOB & Group 3

Masculine head of good proportions, broad skull, muzzle of good length, strong jaws. Eyes of good set, shape and colour. Broad, high set ears. Nice neck into well laid shoulders, would like slightly more chest, straight forelegs of quality bone. Solid body, well ribbed back, firm loin with good topline. Hindquarters muscular and well angulated. Moved a little close behind today.

1st James’ Tsarmont Oh So Starstruck - A close decision between 1st and 2nd today but this bitch had the edge on movement. A beautiful pale gold of 9 months old. Balanced outline. Lovely head, broad with strong muzzle which was wide and deep. Well pigmented. Dark, expressive eyes well spaced apart. Well placed ears. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders, forelegs straight and of strong bone. Chest developing well for age. Well bodied with well sprung ribs which carried well back, short loin, level topline kept at all times. Strong, sound hindquarters with well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Good tail set and carriage. Moved well from all angles with good reach and drive. A very promising prospect. BPIB & Puppy Group 2

2nd Hill’s Drumkilty One Night Stand for Sandaula - Another promising puppy bitch who was unlucky to meet 1st on such good form today. Just 7 months with oodles of character. Feminine head which is of good proportions, broad skull, proportionate muzzle, wide and deep. Nice amount of neck into a sound front assembly, straight forelegs of quality bone. Balanced body with well sprung ribs, level topline and short loin. Hindquarters well angulated and matching angles of her fore. Good tailset and carriage. Moved soundly.

1st Magson’s Castlegolden Classy Girl - 15 month old cream bitch who presents a picture of balance when stood. She is of good size and substance. Beautiful head with broad skull, well defined stop, muzzle of good length, wide, deep and powerful. Well pigmented nose and eyer rims. Dark brown eyes giving kindly expression. Good reach of neck flowing smoothly into well laid shoulders. Chest developing well, straight forelegs of quality bone. Muscular body throughout with well sprung ribs which were carried well back, muscular, short loin. Level topline kept at all times. Hindquarters muscular with well developed thighs, stifles well bent and low set parallel hocks. Tail of correct set and carriage. Moved soundly with good reach and drive. BOB & Group 2

2nd Trafford’s Astleyfold Spring Primrose - warm golden of 2 years old. Nicely balanced outline. Proportionate head with feminine expression, broad skull, wide, deep muzzle of good length, well pigmented nose and eye rims. Dark eyes adding to her pleasing expression. Nice amount of neck into a sound front assembly. Solid body with ribs carried well back, a shade longer in loin than 1st. Level topline which she held well. Muscular hindquarters with angles matching that of her forequarters. Presented lovely reach and drive in profile however, moved slightly close behind today.

2nd Hill’s Sandaula Forest of Dreams - A lovely bitch of good size and substance, shapely and well balanced although looking a little out of coat today. Balanced head, broad skull, defined stop and muzzle of correct length and depth. Well pigmented. Dark eyes with dark eyerims enhancing her kind expression. Nice reach of neck fitting into well laid shoulders, good depth to chest and straight forelegs of strong bone. Proportionate body with ribs well sprung and carried well back, muscular, short loin and level topline. Muscular hindquarters with good bend to stifles. Moved well.

1st Gregson-Keirby’s Joneva Just A Dream - orange and white raw young bitch who’s head I preferred over 2nd. Nice size and shape. Head of good proportions, medium skull, well defined stop, good length and strength to muzzle with soft lip. Well pigmented nose and eye rims. Expressive eyes giving kindly expression. Good amount of neck into well laid shoulders, chest still to develop as expected at this age. Forelegs straight and of good bone. Well bodied for age, ribs well sprung and carried well back, firm loin, level topline. Well angulated hindquarters. Correct tail set and carriage. Moved confidently.

2nd Jenkin’s Sniperay Ebony Pearl - another nice black & white puppy bitch who unfortunately had left her confidence at home today. Feminine head of decent proportions, well defined stop, correct muzzle. Eyes of good size, shape and set. Well pigmented. Nice reach of neck into a good front assembly. Forelegs straight. Nicely ribbed back with good spring, level topline kept at all times. Good feet. Hindquarters matching angles of fore. Moved well when settled.

1st Udale’s Dowbiggins Goldie - Nice bitch of good size and substance. In good muscular condition throughout. Nice head of good proportions, feminine, kind expression. Eyes harmonising with coat colour, well set and of good shape and size. Would like a slightly better lay of shoulder, forelegs straight, strong oval feet. Well ribbed back with good spring of rib, firm, muscular loin. Hindquarters well muscled with adequate bend to stifles, low set parallel hocks. Good tailset and carriage. Moved soundly.

1st Mason’s Morgan Van Freebreeze - My star of the day. A beautiful 5 year old orange and white bitch who took my eye on her style and balance, well sized and in excellent muscle condition. She is indeed “a series of graceful curves”. She is of lovely type and screams quality. Ultra feminine head of good proportions, moderate breadth to skull, well defined stop, muzzle of good length, soft lip. Well pigmented nose and eye rims. Eyes dark and well spaced apart, giving such a pleasing expression. Reachy neck of good length flowing seamlessly into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest, forelegs straight and of quality bone. Well sprung ribs carried well back, level topline, muscular, firm loin. Well developed first and second thighs, muscular and well angulated with well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Tail set and carriage correct with typical lashing action on the move. Moved smoothly and freely covering plenty of ground with good reach and drive. Delighted to award her BOB, Gundog Group 1 and see her go Reserve Best In Show under David Shields.

2nd Howarth & Gordon’s Hawkfield Jolly - another quality exhibit who was unlucky to meet 1st on such top form today. This one a 5 year old orange and white male. As masculine as 1st was feminine. Handsome head of good proportions, medium breadth of skull, definite stop, muzzle of good length and depth with soft lip. Well pigmented nose and eye rims. Eyes of good set, size and shape. Good neck into a sound front assembly, nice depth of chest, forelegs strong and straight of quality bone. Well muscled throughout, ribs well sprung and carried well back, short, muscular loin. Hindquarters well angulated with well bent stifles and strong hocks. Good tail set and carriage. Moved with confidence and animation, just preferred front movement of 1st today.

1st Smith’s Flyenpyg Jurgen Chop - 6 month old black male enjoying his first show. So well schooled for one so young. He presents a lovely, balanced outline and although very raw at the moment - as expected at this age - he has everything in the right place to develop into a rather handsome young man indeed. Lovely broad, clean cut head, defined stop, muzzle strong and of good length. Dark, brown eyes giving kind expression. Neck of good length, strong and fitting into well laid shoulders. Sound front assembly. Good substance for age, well ribbed back and barrel ribbed, strong, short loin. Hindquarters of correct angles. Thick otter tail of correct set and carriage. 2nd Lawrence’s Dunnabbey Funny Girl - Chocolate bitch of almost 7 months. Full of beans with a super attitude. Balanced with good substance for age. Broad head of good proportions with kindly, feminine expression. Eyes well set and of good shape and size, colour harmonising with coat. Nice amount of neck into a sound front, shoulders well laid, forelegs straight and of strong bone. Good body for age, barrel ribs carried well back and well sprung, broad, short loin. Hindquarters strong and sound with good angulation. Otter tail, thick and well set. Moved well when settled.

Liked his head, broad skull, balanced, strong jaws, muzzle of good length and depth. Expressive eyes of good set and colour giving intelligent expression. Muscular, strong neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Forelegs strong and well boned. Broad chest of good depth, ribs well sprung and carried well back. Broad strong loin. Hindquarters strong, muscular and well angulated. Thick, otter tail which he used well. Moved soundly from all angles.

Compact body, well ribbed back with good spring, short, strong loin, level topline. Hindquarters strong and sound, well angulated. Tended to pace a little on move today but when settled demonstrated typical ground covering bustling action. BPIB

Gorgeous head of good proportions, square muzzle of good length, defined stop. Full, expressive dark eyes giving gentle expression. Ears set low and well feathered. Clean, muscular neck of good length flowing into a sound front assembly. Chest well developed, straight forelegs of quality bone, cat like feet. Compact, strong little body with well sprung ribs, short loin. Well developed thighs with good muscle tone, well bent stifles and low set parallel hocks. Moved with style showing good reach and drive and holding a level topline. BOB

2nd Walton’s Annaside Lets Dance - Black male of 4 years old and perhaps more mature than 1st, however I preferred the compactness of 1st. Correct head proportions, definite stop and square muzzle of good length and strength, well chiselled. Dark, expressive eyes adding to his handsome expression. Clean, muscular neck fitting smoothly into well laid shoulders. Nice depth of chest and in good muscle condition throughout. Well sprung ribs carried well back, short, firm loin. Well rounded rear with correct hind angulation. Moved soundly with bustling action.

1st Davies’ Annaside Star Turn - Feminine black bitch of good size, shape and substance. Lovely head of good proportions giving a pleasing expression. Full, dark eyes complete with well fitting rims. Ears of correct set, well feathered and of good length. Neck of correct length flowing into well laid shoulders, good depth of chest, forelegs straight and strong of good bone. Compact body of good proportions, muscular throughout with well sprung ribs, short, taut loin, level topline. Hindquarters strong and sound, of good width, stifles well bent with low set hocks propelling her on the move.

2nd Jones’ Oktumi Star Chaser - Male with a handsome head and expression, dark eyes, full and giving gentle expression. Would like slightly more neck and lay of shoulder, forelegs straight and well boned with strong, cat-like feet. Compact body, square with well sprung ribs, level topline that he kept at all times. Hindquarters muscular and angles matching that of his fore. Good tailset and carriage. Moved ok.

1st Moore’s Fantastic Field Shine Like a Diamond at Gadhelic - A really raw but quality 8 month old liver puppy bitch who scored highly on her size, shape and balance. Noble head of good proportions, definite occiput, stop moderate, muzzle of good length and strength. Almond shaped eyes with well fitted rims. Ears low set with feathering coming in. Lovely reach of neck fitting smoothly into well laid shoulders. Chest still to develop as expected at this age. Forelegs straight and strong with quality, flat bone. Ribs well sprung and carried well back, muscular loin, level topline. Hinsquarters sound and strong of correct angles. Moved well when settled with lively action and good reach and drive. Delighted to award her BPIB & Puppy Group 1.

1st Wood’s Nadavin Nusa at Sagala - 20 month old black bitch who won on her quality head and lovely expression. Head of good proportions, defined occiput, well chiselled and lean. Muzzle of correct length. Dark, almond shaped eyes giving gentle expression. Low set ears, well feathered. Good reach of neck into a sound front assembly. Forelegs well boned, chest of good depth. Well bodied and muscular throughout, ribs carried well back with good spring, muscular loin. Well muscled hindquarters with good angulation. Moved steadily and soundly.

2nd Shipton’s Heartwood Mishules All is Possible with Calico - Black & Tan bitch of just 13 months. Nice shape and size with balanced outline. Feminine head with pleasing expression, dark, expressive almond shaped eyes with tight fitting rims. Reachy neck into well laid shoulders, chest developing well for age. Forelegs straight and strong of quality, flat bone. Body muscular with well sprung ribs which are carried well back. Hindquarters strong and sound. Moved well. Just preferred overall head and expression of 1st.

Her eyes and expression are captivating, almond in shape and hazel harmonising with coat colour with a gentleness that goes through you. Muscular neck of good length flowing seamlessly into a sound front assembly. In excellent muscle condition throughout, ribs well sprung and carried well back with short, taut loin. Hindquarters strong and sound with hind angles matching that of fore. Moved effortlessly with good, groundcovering reach and drive. BOB

2nd Shipton’s Broomeece Fire Cracker Over Mishules - Really lovely black male who’s head unfortunately wasn’t in the game today and he gave his handler a really hard time! So well balanced and well constructed. Quality headpiece of good proportions, well chiselled, muzzle lean, dark, almond eyes giving pleasing, handsome expression. Good neck into well laid shoulders. Nice depth to chest, forelegs straight and of quality bone. Well ribbed back, muscular loin and level topline held at all times. Well muscled rear with correct angulation. Moved soundly from all angles when settled.

1st McKnight’s Hundwith Material Girl - Lovely Weimaraner puppy of 8 months old. Well balanced with pleasing outline and of good size. Feminine head and expression. Expressive eyes of correct set, shape and colour. Good reach of neck flowing into well laid shoulders, forelegs straight and of quality bone. Nice body proportions, slightly longer than high, well sprung ribs and well bodied for age. Hind angles matching that of her front. Moved well from angles. Unfortunately in the puppy group just started looking a little tired, still pulled out the stops to be awarded BPAVNSC & PG4.

2nd Udale’s Gameglow Believe In Me - Lagotto pup of just 7 months old. Squarely built and of good shape and size. Broad head, strong muzzle, whiskers coming in well. Round eyes, harmonising with coat colour. Triangular ears with rounded tips. Arched neck fitting into a moderate lay of shoulder. Forelegs straight and strong. Square body with well sprung ribs. Chest developing well for age. Moved slightly close behind today.
