Many thanks to the committee for the judging invitation and the excellent hospitality on the day. My stewards were excellent and many thanks for their help. Lastly, many thanks to the exhibitors for their entries and good sportsmanship. It was a long weekend of showing for us all with having the BGV club double show the day before so I really appreciated everyone’s presence. Thanks also to the entries from those who couldn’t be present on the day.

1st Wilmit Mirabelle for Boneveon: 14 month old tri-coloured bitch, A well proportioned skull, good pigment and ears of correct set and length give this girl a lovely expression. She has good bone for size throughout with a nice straight front and good feet. Well set shoulder, good depth of brisket and ribbed well back. Moderate bend of stifle with good muscle, Tail set high and carried correctly on the move. Lovely easy movement and a good quality coat completed the picture. I think she will do well in her show career and just needs to fill out and mature.

2nd Claela Bonny at Morn with Solelidor: A lot of the same comments applied to this lovely 15 month old Grizzle/white girl. Lower on leg than 1st but as nicely made. Was more interested in being a scent hound rather than a show dog today so movement was difficult to assess.

Limit Dog or Bitch (2,1)

1st Gairside Special Interest: 4 year old tricolour bitch, Lovely head and pigment. Ears well set, of good length and supple. Well boned, good front on straight legs. Nice tight elbows and good length of rib. Would like a bit more depth of brisket and overall coat, although what she had was lovely quality. She moved in a happy positive manner, with good tail carriage, although a little close behind today.

Open Dog or Bitch (8,3)

1st CH Wilmit Jugeote: 4 year old tri girl, one I’ve admired for a while. A beautiful head with a lovely dark eye and pigment, great ears, well set. Proud prosternum, nice tight elbows and length of rib, good depth of brisket. Nicely angulated throughout which she showed on the move, excelled in side gait , keeping a level topline and carrying her well furnished tail high. BOB.

2nd Claela Sweet Dreams, 16month old sweet young man, very nice head and adequate length of ear Lower on leg than 1st but has neat elbows, good lay of shoulder and depth of brisket. Good length of rib and level topline held well the move, nicely furnished tail carried well. RBOB

1st Nykarth’s Vision, 9 Month Orange/White bitch. Nice eye, ear set with a good fold. Still very much a youngster and needs to fill out but has a straight front, neat elbows good lay of shoulder with ribs reaching well back. Good bend of stifle and moved well round the ring holding her topline as she went. BPIB

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch (4,0)

1st Nykarth Touch of Class, 2 year old tricolour, Darkest of pigment, lending itself to a soft warm expression. Good ear set and length, well angulated and ribbed, Topline held well on the move and all completed with a good wire coat.

2nd Overbecks Esme Shelby at Roxastan, 17 month old tricolour, Good pigment and sweetest expression, compact girl, good angles fore and aft although not quite as tight in front as 1st. Moving well in positive manner, tail carried correctly as she went.

Open Dog (4, 0)

1st Ir CH Erylan Chaud Comme Hades An CH ’23, 4 year old tricolour dog, upto size. Masculine head of correct proportions, good pigment. Shoulder well laid and well boned straight legs. Good length of rib and correct tail carried well on the move. Striding out showing good reach and drive. If I were to be fussy I would want slightly less coat on him to appreciate his overall structure more easily. RBOB

2nd Marunnel Orinoco, 6 Year old Grizzle/white dog, slightly out of coat today but I really liked this boys head, good proportions with nice well set leathers. Good bone for size, straight front and well laid shoulder, would like neater feet. Obvious prosternum and nice depth of brisket. Enough rib for length and good bend of stifle. Covered the ground well with enthusiasm.

3rd Afterglow Dough Ble Impact

Open Bitch (7,3)

1st CH Soletrader Flora Good Time, 3 Year old Tricoloured bitch, from a large mould but still obviously feminine. Nice expression with a dark eye, correct ears well set. Good reach of neck set into clean shoulder. Well ribbed and short coupled. Good bend of stifle, thighs well muscled. Topline and tail held well on the move. BOB, winning on overall balance and excellent movement.

2nd CH Soletrader Fun Times For Rangalil JW, 2 year old, very pretty compact bitch. Darkest of pigment and eye, nice proportions to skull, ears well set and turned. Good depth of brisket and ribbed well back. Moderate bend of stifle. Moved out well although a little closer than 1.
