My thanks to the society for inviting me to judge, and to those who entered and accepted my judgement with good grace. Many could swap places on a different day.
Puppy Dog (1, 0 Abs)
1st: Fricker's KERMAN WIZARD OF OZ (ai) 10 month tricolour, strong, masculine head with good width between the ears, which were of a good size. Good quality of muscle to neck, with well laid shoulders. Correct angulation, fore and aft, with good length to body. A little unsteady on the table today, and movement in this class a little erratic, causing him to drop his topline occasionally. BPD
Junior Dog (1, 0 Abs)
1st: Langford's GOWERSTON GERIANT OF CAPRIAN 13 month tri, nice head of correct proportions, thoroughly masculine, with correct eye and ear, giving an alert expression. Nicelt laid shoulder and good prominence to breastbone. Ribs nicely sprung, with good depth of brisket. Moved well with drive, holding topline easily without too much tail lift on the move.
Novice Dog (1, 0 Abs)

Limit Dog (3, 1 WD)
1st: Taylor and Taylor's TAMLIN MILLENIUM FALCON 2 year old brindle with foxy head of correct proportions. Good strength of muscle all through, and pleasing breadth of body. Dentition correct, scissored and set in squarely. Ample ear, used well to show off that typical alertness. Good wrap of forearm, and correct angulation throughout. Correct level topline, held well on free and easy movement.
2nd: Field's GOWERSTON GRANTCHESTER 2 year old tri with a good head, nice clear eye, and ears set apart correctly, Had a nice front, with breastbone well placed and good lay of shoulder. Topline a little looser on the move, but strode out with drive. A little unsteady on the table
Open Dog (0)
Veteran Dog (3, 0 Abs)
A nice class of three very good veterans, a testament to their owners and the breed's longevity. My hardest class of the day.
1st: Taylor's Ch HANDSKES JUST A GIGOLO at TAMLIN (Imp FIN) 9 year old brindle, and one I have admired ringside. Typical foxy head of excellent proportions, good dark eye, and well placed ears of a pleasing size. Excellent muscle and bone throughout, with shoulders well laid and of correct angulation. Body of a slightly more compact type than I would typically prefer, but there's no denying his quality. Forearm has good wrap around, good sized feet which are well padded and tight. Nice depth of brisket with well sprung ribs, and an absolutely correct topline, held well with free and active movement. BD, BVD, BOB, BVIB
2nd: Willimans and James' Ch BWTHYN HEADLINER JW ShCM ShCEx VW A 10 year old brindle, who has done well under me in the past. Lovely head, with correct proportions, but could have used his ears better today. Nice front, well boned thoughout and shoulders well laid. Absolutely correct feet, with hocks correct and vertical. Excellent topline, held well when on the move which was driven and active. Unlucky to meet 1st today. RBD, RBOB
3rd: Piears' TYCI DAIONI
Puppy Bitch (1, 0 Abs)
1st: Fricker's KERMAN WHO'L COM A WALTZING 10 month brindle, and littermate to the dog puppy. Many similar qualities to her littermate, but of a suitably more feminine nature. Has a good head, with correct proportions and nice eye and ear. Good shoulder, but needs to tighten up with maturity. Topline was good, but movement a little over eager, but good when settled. BPB, BPIB
Junior Bitch (4, 0 Abs)
1st: Taylor and Taylor's CHRIS TEAM BAKALIA for TAMLIN (Imp POL) 15 month brindle with a nice clean foxy head, ears well erect, used well. Angulation was correct, with good breadth to chest, and breastbone of good prominence. Topline held perfectly level on free and easy movement
2nd: James' GOWERSTON GRACELYN at BWTHYN 13 month tricolour, with a good sized head, well placed ears and alert expression. Shoulders well laid, with elbow close in. Good muscle all through, and well angulated, fore and aft. Topline good, but a little restless on the move today.
3rd: Irving's TWINAN SHIELD OF STEEL
Res: Morris and Morris' GOWERSTON GENEVIEVE with CWNMEURIG (BB1)
Novice Bitch (2, 0 Abs)
1st: James' GOWERSTON GRACELYN at BWTHYN , Repeat of 2nd JB, movement was much better this time around.
2nd: Fricker's KERMAN WHO'L COM A WALTZING, Repeat of 1st PB.
Graduate Bitch (3, 0 Abs)
1st: James' GOWERSTON GRACELYN at BWTHYN, Repeat of 2nd JB.
2nd: Morris and Morris' GOWERSTON GENEVIEVE with CWNMEURIG (BB1) 13 month blue merle, and littermate to 1st. Good head, with nice eye and ear. Muscletone good all over with good front and well laid shoulder standing on good sized feet. Well sprung rib, and a good topline. Movement a little erratic at times, but good when settled.
3rd: Field's CRUGLWYD CRISTYNE
Post Graduate Bitch (2, 0 Abs)
1st: Langford's KEERSIDE PALMADDY BURN of CAPRIAN 3 year old tri with a pleasing head of good proportion. Ears well placed and used well. Strong neck leading into well laid shoulder and adequate wrap around, but would like a little more prominence to breast. Level back, held well with good movement.
2nd: Evans and Evans' GOWERSTON GOLYGUS yn CEREDIGION 7 year old blue merle, with nice ear, although not showing that typical cardi alertness today. Good prominence to breastbone, and nice round feet. Carrying a little more body than I should like. Movement not quite as free or active as I would like.
Limit Bitch (3, 1 Abs)
1st: Fitzpatrick-Graham's ANKSUNAMUN HALLOWS EVE JW Nearly 2 year old brindle, with a foxy yet feminine head of correct proportions. Ears carried and used well, and of a good size, and nice clear eye of correct size. Strength of neck very nice, and well placed shoulder. Nice tight feet, good depth of brisket while retaining correct ground clearance. Topline held well on easy, free and active movement, although tail can carry a little high on the move, but carried nice and low when stood. BB, BOS.
2nd: Langford's CAPRIAN ADRIANNA JW 3 year old tricolour, of a marginally slighter frame than 1st, but still of correct proportions. Head correct, well laid shoulder and good spring of rib, with a nice outline viewed from front or in profile. Topline was well held, but would like more drive on the move.
Open Bitch (2, 1 Abs)
1st: Langford's CAPRIAN THE VIXEN JW 6 year old tricolour, who I last judged as a puppy, and has matured well. Good head, with nice flat skull, pleasing feminine expression and ear used well. Correct lay of shoulder and a good front made for a pleasing outlook overall. Topline good, and held well on brisk movement. Pushed hard in the Bitch challenge.
Veteran Bitch (2, 0 Abs)
1st: Piears' TYCI BRENHINES BRIALLEN ShCM 12 year old blue merle who I have judged before, and a testament to the breed, not showing an ounce of her age. Good head of correct proportions, showing a pretty, feminine expression, nice clear eye and ears of correct size, well placed. Excellent dentition, particularly for her age. Muscletone still good, and shoulder well laid. Excellent wrap around, correct spring of rib and a topline held well on smooth and free movement. RBB BVB
2nd: Evans and Evans' GOWERSTON GOLYGUS yn CEREDIGION, Repeat of 2nd PGB.
