Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge your limited show and also to my stewards Barry and Katrina who kept proceedings running smoothly. It was a pleasure to judge many quality dogs.

AVNSC Terrier P: (Steele) Woodheale Fancy That - Parson Russell Terrier – Pretty puppy bitch of 10 months. White and tan of good size. Dark eye with neat set ears, correct topline with good tail set and carriage. Full of mischief and needs to settle but moved well. Best AVNSC Terrier Puppy.2. (Coughlan) Lyramoo Otis At Bresan – Nearly 7 month old Border Terrier dog. He has a typical otter head with dark eye, neat correct size ear. Good neck leading into a firm topline together with good carroty tail. Well ribbed with easy span and carrying a good harsh coat. Not quite the movement of the winner.AVNSC Terrier O: ( Coughlan) Earthdog Offering – Mature Border Terrier Dog. Another with a lovely otter head. Kind expression with dark eye, well placed ears. Good length of neck and body proportions, also carrying a good harsh coat. Best AVNSC Terrier

 Whippet PG: (Steel) Nattah Potters Magic A well balanced 4 year old dog. He has a pleasing head with correct shaped rose ears. Long and lean neck leading to good front, return of shoulder and upper arm. Displayed free flowing movement. 2. (Jones) Mac Bells Purple Patch Over Cheltynnah (Imp Swe) 4 year old brindle bitch. Long lean elegant head with kind expressive eyes. She has the same flowing lines and quality as the winner but but didn’t quite move as well. O: (Steel) Tigsisle Time After Time – Handsome 5 year old dog. Gorgeous head and expression. Lovely balanced body with correct front angulation leading to a graceful arch over the loin. In good muscle tone and covered the ground with ease. Best AVNSC Hound and BIS

 AV Dachshund SY: (Forge) Normpug Roman Holiday – 11 month old black and tan Miniature Smooth Haired dog. He won this class on balance and outline. He has a handsome head of good proportions. Good dark eye, strong muzzle with good underjaw. Long clean neck into very good shoulders with legs well underneath him. He has good depth and length of body with level topline. Good tailset, well angled low hocks and he moved well in all directions. Best Hound Puppy. 2. (Havill) Raven Baloo – Nearly 2 year old Long Haired Miniature Dachshund black and tan dog. Shown in lovely coat and condition. Good front assembly, handsome head with good proportions. Strong neck of good length and shoulder angulation, together with length of ribcage with well muscled hocks which he used on the move. AV Dachshund PG: (Forge) Normpug Tiger Eyes – 5 year old red Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund who presents a balanced outline. She has a pretty head with dark almond shaped eyes. Good forequarters. Level back standing and on the move. Hindquarters straight when viewed from rear with plenty of drive. AV Dachshund O: (Forge) Normpug Apricot Beauty – 2 year old red Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund. She is well balanced with a pretty head and correctly shaped almond eyes. She was in very good condition holding a correct topline when using her strong pasterns and hocks to move around the ring confidently with her handler. Best Dachshund 2. (Havill) Raven Baloo – As seen above AVNSC Hound J: ( Sandells & Lovell) Packway Blue Moon 16 month old handsome grey Deerhound dog. Well balanced body with masculine head and gentle expression. Good length of neck into good front angulation with broad thighs and low set hocks. He carries a correct harsh coat and for a big dog, his handler moved him well around the ring.

 AVNSC O: (Wilkinson) Rainster Eilex Among Hunacres 2 ½ year old bitch. Full of quality and has substance. Feminine head of good length with strength to under jaw and correct dentition. Strong reach of neck flows into a well laid shoulder, with ample fore chest and lovely spring of rib. Broad, muscular loin and width through pelvis. Balanced rear angulation with good bend of stifle and muscular second thigh. Moved very well with her handler using a light and easy gait. Best AVNSC Hound 2. (Roberts & Spearing) Linkenlees Laurina ShCM ShCEx Mature tricolour Beagle bitch presented a balanced outline. Feminine head with appealing expression and low set ears. Good length of neck leading into good shoulders with depth of body and elbows well tucked in. Moved with a free easy stride with handler.

 Golden Retriever PG: (Brewer) Stradcot Coconut Ice - 5 year old mature bitch. She has a very sweet head and expression. Straight front with close fitting elbows. Good front and rear angulation. Level topline, short coupled with plenty of heart room. She has correct stifles and stands on good feet. O: (Henson) Cinderbank Move It JW Powerful well balanced dog. Well off for bone. Masculine head with very kind expression. Straight front. Short coupled with plenty of heart room. Good angulation front and rear which he used to advantage around the ring. BOB

 Irish Setter SY : (King & Eccles) Zakhan’s Dragonstone At Byztsar – 9 month old boy who took a little time to settle and when he did I found a very balanced puppy. Beautiful head and expression. Good front, deep brisket with well sprung ribs and gently sloping topline. Correct rear angulation with good short hocks used to advantage on the move 2. (Allum) Zakhan’s Sky Dancer Del Macarica – Litter sister to the winner of this class and like her brother, she is very well balanced and well made. On the day I just preferred the balance of his head. PG: 1(Rorke) Zakhan’s Dream Believer – Elegant mature bitch. Lovely head and expression. Good deep chest, ribs well sprung with straight topline slightly sloping down from withers and covered the ground with ease. 2. (Hall) Riversbrue Ophelia Love Glennara JW – 2 year old feminine bitch. She has good balance and outline with good head and expression. Has many of the qualities as my winner, but she didn’t move quite as well today. O: (Rorke) Zakhan’s The Red Le Baron – Mature well balanced dog with a super outline from head to tail. Good angulation fore and aft. Strong powerful rear with good bend of stifle. Moved freely and confidently showing correct movement. BOB Best Gundog Group 2. (Rorke) Zakhan’s Diamond Jack JW – Very similar in type and quality to winner. Masculine head with kind expression. Good deep chest with well angulated front and rear quarters which showed his easy movement.

 AVNSC Gundog P: (Glass) Cobhay Rosa Meg – 9 month English Springer Spaniel. Pretty head with good proportions and kind expression. Compact and well bodied with good spring of rib. Good front and rear angulation with well let down hocks. Moved very well covering the ground with ease. Best Gundog Puppy 2.(Montell) Westonfields Butternut At Culverwell – 9 month old English Setter. Feminine head with sweet expression. Nicely balanced body with good angulation. Well bent stifles, neat feet and moved well. Y: (Wallace) Dreammake For Tiaja (Imp DNK) 18 month old Yellow Labrador Retriever bitch. Presented a balanced picture. Attractive head and expression. Strong neck into a level topline and well set tail. Happy disposition and moved confidently. G: (Stone) Kidenoan Mark Time For Merrem JW Welsh Springer Spaniel – Well developed head with plenty of chiselling. Good length of neck sloping into well placed shoulders. Well sprung ribs with compact body. Stands on well boned legs with tight round feet. Moved well with good hind movement. Best AVNSC Gundog 2. (Scotting) Ashring’s Love Touch For Recondy – Nearly 3 year old English Springer Spaniel. Unfortunately this boy wasn’t confident enough for me to go over him but when asked he moved well. OB: (Wallace) Tiaja Love In The Sun – This confident girl has a very feminine head, with lovely dark eyes and well set on ears. Her neck is strong and powerful, she has good front assembly. She has a good level topline and is solidly built without losing her femininity. She has good rear angles with a strong thick tail well set on and carried correctly on the move.

 AVNSC Utility OD: (Cann) Sunmarca Secret Agent – 2 year old Miniature Poodle and to be expected from this breed full of character, masculine and elegance. He has a lovely masculine head, well chiselled but not overdone, He has dark almond shaped eyes, and long ear leathers that he carries close to his head. He has a strong neck with an excellent straight front, a deep chest, a short body with excellent real angulation. He has beautiful round, tight feet, his tail is set on well. He moved with purpose and drive and didn’t put a foot wrong. Best AVNSC Utility 2. (Warren) Zaralees I’m Still Standing At Starferry (Imp Ire) This mature Shar Pei knows how to stand correctly. He is short coupled and squarely built. He has a strong head with good breadth in foreface, dark eyes, small ears and dark pigment in his mouth. Well angulated front and back and moved well.

 AVNSC Working Puppy: (Veal) Philoma Encanto – Nearly 7 month old Giant Schnauzer. Lovely square young lady, balanced with reach of neck into good shoulders and topline. Plenty of bone with good angulation front and back. She carried a correct harsh coat. Moved so soundly and positively which earned her Best AVNSC Working Puppy and BPIS 2. (Trim) Roycepride Carolinareaper Substantial yet femininely made 7 month old Bullmastiff. Well balanced head and well placed ears. Good neck and straight front, stood four square and moved well. AVNSC Working Y: (Sharkey) Jantonely Zingalong Baloo 19 month old well made Leonberger. Lovely masculine head and kind expression. He has plenty of bone, strong neck and shoulders presenting a well developed body with good angulation which enabled him to move well. 2 (Griffiths) Kensesqui Don’t Need Nobody. 13 month old powerful and substantial Rottweiler. Good head and expression. Strong muscular neck, leading on to a deep body with well sprung ribs. Good forehand assembly with good rear quarters. AVNSC Working G: (Carrington) Pines Hardy. Tall upstanding Mature Hovawart dog. Good front with an attractive head showing the correct markings for this breed. Good depth of body with well sprung ribs. AVNSC Working PG: (Griffiths) Kensesqui Don’t Need Nobody. Rottweiler 2nd in Yearling class. AVNSC Workings O: (Robinson) Robinsteck A Star Is Born. Mature Boxer bitch who has a nice square outline with arched neck of good length to balance, short back with slight slope to croup, deep brisket, short loin and tail set on high. Attractive well proportioned head and expression; dark eyes, ears of correct set and broad muzzle. She stands well in front on good feet and moved freely. Best AVNSC and Working Group 2.( Osborne & Havill) Delilah Lilac 8 month old Dogue De Bordeaux. Well developed body with good outline. Good head piece and bone. He needs to tighten up in movement. However, the dog would benefit from more schooling to get the best out of him.

 Shetland Sheepdog Y: (Purchase) Puncknowle Lucy Blue 13 month old tri-colour bitch who has a lovely head and sweet expression. Well off for bone, neatest of feet, super coat, super shape in profile. 2. (Creamer) Clanavon My Blue Heaven At Lyngarso Almost 2 years old. Very well made, every thing in proportion. Very similar remarks apply to this bitch; just not as positive on the move today. PG: (Creamer) Lyngarso Captain Tom Well made tri colour dog who has a lovely head shape and sweet expression. Well used ears, dark eye, and good neck. Well made front with good angulation which he used to cover the ground so smoothly. Best Pastoral Group and RBIS. 2.(Purchase) Puncknowle April Delight. A delightful 13 month old tricolour bitch. Nice head with dark eye and well used ears. She presents a pleasing profile with good proportions. Well presented double coat. O: (Mcshane) Blenmerrow Ring Of Roses Another pretty girl with a lovely feminine head. She has well set on ears, nice dark almond eyes, a good neck, excellent front, correct oval feet. She is very nicely put together, with good angulation front and rear. She was well presented and her movement was steady. 2. (Eldridge) Keltihope Wispa’s Girl At Petara Mature feminine bitch with a lovely head and expression. Good use of ears, shapely with good angulation, neat feet, moved out well, presented in lovely condition.

 AVNSC Pastoral PG: (Morton-Hadley) Kingsfrome End Of An Era A delightful 3 year old German Shepherd Dog bitch who presents a balanced outline. She has a feminine head with correct erect ears. She has an excellent, strong neck, a good front with plenty of bone. Her body is of correct length and her back is strong with a slightly sloping coup. Her rear end is not over angulated which allowed her to move well. O: (Morton-Hadley) Kingsfrome End Of An Era: As above

 AVNSC Toy Y: (Beech & Sandkarah) Hollinsclose Love Story. 1 year old Lowchen (Little Lion Dog) Gorgeous feminine head with defined stop. Black pigmentation complemented her sweet expression. She has a level topline, good ribs with a high set tail. Beautifully presented in the traditional lion clip coat. Moved very happily. Best Toy Group 2. (Yeates) Merryanna Lily The Pink. 13 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Blenhaim bitch. She has a very pretty head and expression with neck flowing into well laid shoulders. Body well developed for age. Level topline, tail set correctly and carried on the move very happily.PG: (Yeates) Vonnyisle Angel Affect With Merryanna. Just over 2 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Lovely head and gentle expression complemented by her lovely dark and well set eyes. Rich coloured coat with well broken markings. Presented lovely outline as she wagged her tail non stop for her handler.
