Stafford & District Canine Society

Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

Many thanks to the Officers and Committee of Stafford & District Canine Society for their invitation to judge Cavalier King Charles at their Open show on the 28th of September 2024, and to my twowonderful stewards who helped my classes run smoothly. Most importantly thank you to all exhibitors who gave me an entry. I was very lucky to have so many quality dogs to go over, which I’m surecould change places on another day.

Puppy (3)

1st - Russmic Double or Quit at Narayden. A very nice sized 7-month-old Ruby male with a rich red colour coat. A good head with desired stop, scissor bite and well-placed ears. Dark eyes giving him atypical melting expression. A good reach of neck leading on to well laid shoulders. A good turn of stifle and ample bone, moved well.

2nd – Mrs A Parsons Anjomil Moonflower. JW 10-month-old Blenheim bitch with a soft silky coat. A very nice head, good bite, typical stop, dark eyes and nose, a super soft expression. Good movement,

Yearling (4,1a)

1st – Mrs C Key`s Lyndabelle Indigo Rose a very pretty 14-month-old Black & Tan bitch. A super coat in soft silky condition. She had a good head, dark eyes with the sweetest expression. Correct bite andstop, nice reach of neck, a good spring of rib, top line and rear angulation. Movement was very good.

2nd - Mrs Harrisons Millpoint Orient Express 17-month-old Blenheim. Slightly larger throughout than winner. Another quality dog with a masculine head, correct bite, a dark nose & eyes, well set ears and very endearing soft expression. A lovely silky coat in super condition, good bone and angulations, andmoved well around the ring. Preferred the overall size of one.

Post Graduate (6)

1st - Mrs E Williams Granasil Tea House Moon on Sancana, a very smart 2-year-old Black and Tan Bitch.Her coat soft and silky presented in tip top Condition. A very nice head with desired stop, plenty ofpadding under the darkest of eyes. So feminine her expression just melts you. Ample reach of neck,well, laid back shoulders leading to good top line. Looks very nice in profile. Given her good construction and balance I was not surprised to see her excellent parallel movement. BOB & Toy Group 2.

2nd – Mrs Parsons Anjomil Harvest Moon JW, a mature 4-year-old Blenheim bitch. Very pretty with a sweet expression. Correct head and bite, Dark eyes and pigment to her nose. Presented well, again nicely angulated and level top line. Movement was ok.

Open (2)

1st – Mrs M Owen`s Handsowens Star of India Narayden 2-year-old Black & Tan dog. A very nice masculine head, correct bite, dark melting eyes, good reach of neck leading to level top line. Well-muscled hind quarters and good turn of stifle. Very Good movement.

2nd – Mrs E Williams Charnell Gintastic for Sancana JW. A pretty three-year-old Blenheim bitch with a nice silky soft coat. A nice head, with desired stop, dark eyes and nose. Typical gentle soft expression. She was a very balanced bitch and had lovely movement.
