Minehead & District Canine Society

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee of Minehead & District Canine Society for their invitation to judge Pugs at their Open Show held at the beautiful Dunster Castle Lawns.

PUG – GRADUATE (3,1a)

1st. Mrs B Kelsall`s Kelbrend Dreamy Duchess, a pretty 17-month-old bitch with rose ears, good head workings with nice dark eye giving her a soft expression. Wide underjaw, open nairs and darkest of pigment on ears and nails. A good reach of neck, forechest was ample front was straight. She has a short back with level top line, a high set single twist tail. Her coat is soft and short. Movement was OK.BOB

2nd Mrs Luter & Conibere`s Joyful Juicy by Luterpugs. A very sweet 8-month-old black bitch puppy. Lovely dark eye & button ears and lovely open nares. Reasonable reach of neck, well off for bone, good forechest, good top line finished off with a single twist tail. Her coat was slightly long and could have been darker but hopefully this will improve when her puppy coat sheds. Her movement was very good once she settled. BPIB

POST GRADUATE (2,1a)

1st Mrs B Kelsall`s Flaikewell Damson Jam, a 4-year-old bitch, mother of graduate winner. This bitch is quite fine in bone all round but has a pretty face. She has rose ears, open nares dark eye which gives her a sweet expression. Her coat is pale and her pigment is very black. She is slightly upright in shoulder but has a reasonable reach of neck, level top line and single twist high set tail. Moved with purpose around the ring and was very attentive to her handler.
