Border Counties Gundog Club

My thanks to Kay and her committee for the invitation to judge at this popular and friendly show, my two stewards Natalie and Judith kept the ring running efficiently and I was delighted to see my BP awarded BPIS, many congratulations.

RETRIEVER (GOLDEN)

1. Middlemiss/Brown’s Harmarjoy You’re My Love. Well presented young male of 12 months with expressive dark eye and balanced masculine head, good pigment, well set ears, strong muscular neck and well set shoulders, good fore-chest, bone and feet, lovely proportions, he moved out effortlessly holding his top-line well, in excellent condition with good muscle tone, BD.

2. Nicolson’s Harmarjoy Gift of Love. Another youngster of 12 months, dark eye and masculine expression, balanced in skull and muzzle, strong neck and shoulders although not quite the shoulder placement of 1, he was nicely proportioned and moved out well when settled, presented in good coat and condition.

1. Middlemiss/Brown’s Harmarjoy You’re My Love. Repeat.

2. Kevan’s Moloko Wallace The Brave JW. 5 years old in the most beautiful dark gold coat, masculine head and expression with dark eye, would have liked a better length of leg, his proportions were good but his high tail set spoiled his outline on the move, in excellent coat and condition.

1. Rose/Neil’s Gildas Amori Infiniti. 7 years old, masculine broad head, dark eye, good fore-chest and depth, well ribbed back with good bone and feet, another where I would have liked a little more length of leg but he had decent angles and moved steadily, he was presented in excellent coat and condition.

1. Robbins/Rowark’s Brekswood Honey Bee. Promising bitch of 9 months, the kindest and most feminine expressive head with dark eye, correct bone and feet, good neck leading into a sound and correct front assembly, beautifully angulated, she held herself well on the stand and moving, well presented in excellent coat and condition, BP and delighted to hear she was later awarded BPIS, I am sure she has a promising future ahead.

2. James’ Tsarmont Oh So Starstruck (AI). Feminine bitch of 7 months, expressive head with dark eye and good pigment, well placed ears and balanced skull, she had a strong, muscular neck with well set shoulder, with good proportions she was balanced on the stand, when she settled into her stride she showed some lovely movement, in good coat and condition.

3. Waddell’s Seancaer Just The Beginning.

1. Riley’s Jasrolyn Doe Ray Me Among Wylloh. Pale gold bitch of 12 months, beautiful and feminine expressive head with dark melting eye, her skull is balanced and correct, strong neck with excellent shoulder placement, good bone and feet, she had good depth, correct length and shape of rib cage with short strong loin, lovely proportions and angles, really liked her outline, moved well when settled into her stride, a promising future for this young bitch.

1. McDonald’s Lamancha Obsidian Flame. Bitch of nearly 4 years with the most beautiful temperament, she melted me with those eyes, very feminine throughout, strong neck and shoulders with correct bone and good feet, liked her proportions and balanced angles, she was well sprung in rib with short muscular loin, moved out well with good reach and drive.

2. McGuffie’s Milltimber My Girl. 4½ year old bitch, preferred the head of 1 although her skull was balanced and she had a lovely dark eye, good length of neck and well placed shoulders, good bone but her feet and pasterns could be a little stronger, level, well held top-line, a little short in rib however she was well muscled and presented in lovely condition.

1. McDonald’s Lamancha Question The Truth. Beautifully presented pale gold bitch of 3½ years, very expressive and feminine head, correctly balanced skull with dark eye, lovely reach of neck leading into a pleasing shoulder placement, quality all through, correct bone and feet, level, sound top-line with correct angulation in front and rear, a very nice bitch who had an excellent coat and carried good muscle tone, BB & BOB.

2. Neil’s Moloko Am I Bovvered. Well presented bitch of 5 years with lovely proportions and quality, she had a feminine head with expressive dark eye, lovely angles front and rear, she was well ribbed back with short, well muscled loin, correct bone and feet, absolutely first class temperament, she moved effortlessly with an easy ground covering gait, in well muscled condition.

3. McGuffie’s Milltimber Morning Breeze.
