Norfolk & Norwich Canine Society

Many thanks to the Secretary and committee of this friendly society for the warm welcome, it was an enjoyable albeit long day but was delighted to see my PWD go RBPIS and my more mature PWD receive RBVIS. Many, many thanks to my hard working, very efficient steward Heather who worked tirelessly all day, I enjoyed your company.

1. Hickling’s Evalesco Ego Boost. 13 months male who was full of himself today, lovely masculine head and dark eye, forechest developing well, good bone and feet, correct proportions, sound top-line, nicely angulated and well muscled, when settled into his stride he moved beautifully with free reach and powerful drive.

2. Hunt’s Jojavik Express Yourself at Virsco. Elegant bitch of 3 years, very feminine head and expression, dark eye, well set ears, good feet and bone, correct proportions, she moved out soundly with an easy reach, in excellent well muscled condition, RBOB.

3. Hickling’s Supeta’s Under The Spell of Evalesco.

1. Hickling’s Evalesco High Voltage. 7 year old bitch, feminine head and expression with dark eye, good forechest and angles, sound in top-line with strong rear, when she found her stride she showed some lovely profile movement, well presented and handled.

2. Hemmings/Radford’s Luftez Astronomy ShCM. 7½ year old male with masculine head and expression, dark eye, a little deep all through where I would like to have seen a little more elegance, adequate angulation and sound top-line, showed some good movement in profile.

1. Collett’s Velrok Ringing Gold JW. Beautifully presented gold sable male of 21 months who was balanced all through, moderate skull, good chin, dark brown eye, correct neck and shoulders, liked his front angulation and body proportions, good feet, sound rear with good muscle, coat in super condition, he moved out beautifully owning the ring, BOB.

2. Leak’s Velrok Razina of Madire. Gold sable bitch of 21 months who I now see is the litter sister to my class winner, a lot of the same comments apply but in feminine form, she had a pretty head and expression with well set ears, nicely angulated front and rear with good body proportions, sound top-line, she moved out well.  

3. Thornely-Taylor’s Saxtead Moonlight Shadow.

1. Brandrick’s Yllastel One Last Dance to Lillinca. 5 years, gold sable bitch, lovely eye with feminine expression, well set ears, balanced head with well cushioned muzzle, correct proportions and lovely angulation in front and rear, good tail set and carriage, a little out of coat today but she moved well with a free gait.

2. Neale’s Saxtead Toot Sweet. 2 year old gold sable bitch nicely presented, preferred the head and ear set of 1, nicely angulated with good body proportions, correct feet, in excellent coat, just not as coordinated on the move as 1 today.

1. Brandrick’s Lillinca Bees Bliss. 3 year old bitch, gold sable/white, pretty head and expression with good skull although would like a better bite, correct body proportions with sound angulation front and rear, good tail set and carriage, moved out well and was presented in excellent coat, RBOB.

2. Close’s Velrok King Silver with Arikara. 4 year old parti-colour male, masculine head and lovely expression, dark eye, soundly made all through, good neck leading into a correct front assembly, good top-line and rear, presented in lovely coat and condition, could just lose a little weight to give a better overall picture.

1. Brandrick’s Matsuri Specially Maid for Lillinca. 7½ year old gold sable/white bitch of lovely quality, very pretty feminine head, well set ears, hare feet, good angulation and body proportions, well set tail and carriage, presented in good coat and moved out well, BV.

2. Leak’s Tuyet Ever Noble Bodhi among Madire. Black/white male of 7½ years, masculine head although could have a better mouth, angulation and feet ok, nicely proportioned with good top-line, tail could have better carriage but he moved ok in profile.

1. Thomas’ Kelmorespitz’s Afire Love. Smart black male of 10 months, head developing, good pigment, nice outline with sound angulation in front and rear, level top-line, well set and carried tail, moved out well and presented in lovely condition, BP & PG4.

2. Armstrong/Cherry’s Araki Fantasy Funtime at Tizzycharm. Bitch of 11½ months, gold sable/white, feminine head and expression, not as good in front as 1, strong level top-line with well set and carried tail, not quite the freedom in movement as 1, well handled.

1. Buckles’ Karshok Amra Jetsang. Male of 18 months, masculine head with correct dark eye, good bone and feet, nicely angulated all through with level top-line and nice body proportions, well set tail and carriage, he moved out well with good reach and drive and presented in super coat and condition.

2. Kemp’s Araki Spice of Life for Yanlan. Gold sable/white bitch of 20 months, another appealing youngster, feminine head with a lovely expressive eye, a little lower on leg than 1, strong neck and shoulders, level top-line, she moved out well and was presented in lovely condition.

3. Thomas’ Kelmorespitz’s Bad Habits.

1. Cherry’s Lynces More Than A Dream. 4 year old black bitch, dark eye, feminine, layback of shoulder was ok but she had a good forechest and depth, proportions were ok, would have liked a better coat but showed some sound movement in profile.

2. Hayes/Lay-Flurrie’s Gandaki Valentino To A Tea for Gajarkot. Black and white male of 2 years, preferred head on this male, dark eye, felt 1 was better in shoulder, lacked forechest, sound in top-line and he was well muscled, moved out well in profile but a little close behind going away.

1. Kemp’s Araki Blinkin Bonkerz. Black/white male of 18 months, presented in immaculate condition, masculine head, dark expressive eye, good angulation front and rear with sound top-line, good depth of chest and well ribbed back, well set tail and carriage, moved out with excellent reach and drive but could come down a gear on the move to improve his performance overall, BOB.

2. Chessell’s Araki Areu The Queen of Bees for Stylaxian JW. Quality gold sable/white bitch of 2 years who presented a lovely outline standing and moving, expressive and feminine head, dark eye, lovely angulation with good proportions, well set tail and carriage, she moved out steadily with good reach and drive, RBOB.

1. Robbins/Hensman’s Salvadorada Jalapeno Girl at Palouse. Very feminine bitch of just 8 months, keen expression, white with black spots, well set ears, good forechest, depth, bone and feet, lovely outline, strong neck and shoulders, she moved out well with free reach and drive, well handled, BP & PG3.

2. Stocks’ Sophtspot Sparkler at Nospar. Bitch of 10 months, lovely feminine head with good eye and ears, good feet, strong neck and shoulders, level top-line, well muscled throughout, not quite as settled and accurate on the move as 1.

3. Stocks’ Dalmark’s Jubilations at Nospar.

1. Tingey’s Dallyador White Magnolia. Bitch of 16 months, white with liver spots, beautiful feminine and expressive head, lovely angulation front and rear with good forechest and depth, lovely reach of neck, level top-line, moved out effortlessly with an easy, free gait.

2. Collier’s Kallierbelle Pink Sapphire. Feminine bitch of 6 years, white with black spots, nicely marked, expressive head although would like a better bite, good neck, strong shoulders, not the angulation of 1, moved out well, good croup and well set tail, she moved out easily with sound action.

3. Robbins/Hensman’s Salvadorada Honolulu Honey at Palouse.

1. Tysterman’s Carodal Jacob’s Ladder. Bitch of nearly 3 years, white with liver spots, lovely feminine, expressive head, balanced all through, she was easy and free on the move and covered ground effortlessly, lovely neck leading into sound front assembly, good proportions, top-line and well muscled rear, beautifully presented and handled, BOB.

2. Hobbs/Whiting’s Rapanooey Ranunculus. Male of 3½ years, white with liver spots, a lovely male with lots of quality, masculine head and expression, good neck and sound front assembly, correct bone and feet, liked his proportions and and his well set tail and carriage, good forechest and depth, just tended to lean back a little on the stand which spoilt the overall picture, moved very well.

Two lovely puppies.

1. Rice’s Tiamaria Juniper Berry. Bitch of just 6 months, feminine head and expression, well set ears, good bite, medium neck, well laid back shoulder, well sprung ribs, lovely coat and condition, moved out steadily, BP.

2. Tester’s Gingafing Best of You. Another nice young bitch of 7 months, expressive, kind head, nice angles with good body proportions and she moved out cleanly once she found her stride, in excellent coat, just needs little more confidence.

SY 3(0) 

1. Powley’s Danehaven Exploits. Male of 17 months, broad head with masculine expression, good eye, ears ok, good bone and feet, angulation adequate in front and rear with strong top-line, good tail set and carriage, lacked a little condition on the day but showed some sound movement in profile.

2. Tester’s Gingafing Go Your Own Way. Bitch of 16 months, feminine head with kind expression, good depth of chest and well ribbed back, strong loin, when settled into her stride she showed sound movement in all directions, just lacked confidence today.

3. Powley’s Danehaven Haha.

1. Tester’s Gingafing Forget Me Not. Bitch of 3½ years, presented in lovely condition, feminine head with expressive, kind eye, good angles and sound in top-line, moved well in profile but a little untidy going away in the rear, RBOB.

2. Rice’s Tiamaria Mango Tango. Bitch of 6½ years, expressive head and kind eye, not quite as good in front nor the reach and drive of 1, good bone, adequate angulation, top-line was ok, presented in excellent coat.

1. Tester’s Gingafing Careless Whisper. 7 year old mature bitch, clean in outline and balanced, feminine head, kind expression and eye, sound angulation with good proportions, presented in lovely coat, she moved out well but would still like to see her more settled in front, BOB.

2. Fincham’s Danehaven Macdonalds. Male of 3½ years, top size, kind, expressive and masculine head, nice eye and good ears, angulation was good, he had a sound top-line and was well muscled in the rear, he had a little too much white above his pasterns, moved well when settled into his stride.

1. Jennings’ Wallaroo Romeo JW. Upstanding male of nearly 2 years, strong masculine head with good neck and shoulders, good ears and eye, strong muzzle, good forechest and depth, nice proportions, was a bit of a handful but when he settled showed some sound, free movement. 

2. Knight’s Wallaroo Sweet Caroline. Bitch, and litter sister to 1, not as balanced standing or moving, feminine head and expression, not the angulation all through of 1, a little more confidence would improve her overall performance, shown in well muscled condition, RBOB.

Simmons/Pierpoint’s Chepam Queen of Swords. 3 year old bitch of lovely type, sound all through with correct outline, feminine head with good planes, muscular neck, lovely angles, good top-line and well muscled, she was balanced and free on the move covering the ground well, coat of good texture, BOB.

2. Nichols’ Ch. Nikolaev Malbec. 2½ year old soundly made male with balance and presenting a lovely outline, masculine with correct head planes, strong, well muscled neck leading into a good shoulder placement, sound top-line, powerful and free on the move, presented in excellent coat, RBOB.

1. Hosie’s King of Helluland Jungle Book at Shadowrise (imp SVK). Newfoundland. Good size male of 11½ months, black, powerfully made with masculine head and expression, kind dark eye, nicely angulated front and rear with good depth of chest, well ribbed back with short loin, sound top-line, well muscled in rear and mature for his age, good bone, he moved out soundly, just needs to slow down on the move, B AVNSC & B AVNSCP.

2. Hosie’s Shadowrise Wild Fire. Newfoundland. Brown bitch of 11½ months where I preferred the proportions of 1, feminine kind head and good eye, nice angles, good depth of chest, good bone and strong top-line, well muscled in the rear, moved steadily in profile although she was a little untidy coming and going, presented in coat of excellent condition.

1. Constable’s Valhalabears Just In Time. Newfoundland. Brown bitch of 17 months, feminine head and expression, broad skull and well set ears, strong neck and shoulders, would prefer better length of leg but she held her top-line well, she was nicely angulated and moved out well, RB AVNSC.

WORKING GROUP

G1 Bodle’s Ch. Fairy Clocks Bonus Catch The World into Lionsridge (imp NOR) ShCEx. Leonberger. This strongly made 4 year old male stood out in this Group for me, he was masculine all through with expressive head, well set shoulders and correct proportions, sound top-line, he had good bone and moved around the ring steadily with an easy gait, in excellent coat.

G2 Wheeler’s Olibetay Bella Rose at Hipkins JW. Boxer. Very feminine bitch of 3 years, liked her head, strong muzzle and dark eye, lovely neck into nicely set shoulders, good proportions, sound and well muscled, moved out with a sound, ground covering gait.

G3 Smith’s Ch/Int/Ir Ch. Gemson Alfamar of Oldeely. PWD.

G4 Hughes’ Casiat Giro D’Italia to Ukluk. Alaskan Malamute.

WORKING PUPPY GROUP

PG1 Williams/Newton/Slack’s Rarjo Macduff Making Waves with Megulcie. PWD. Black bitch of just 8 months old, ticked all the boxes for me, feminine but strong head, lovely expression with dark eye, lovely angulation front and rear and loved her outline, good depth of chest and well ribbed, looked a picture standing and was an easy choice as my Puppy Group winner, expertly handled, glad to see her win RBPIS.

PG2 Pocock’s Tamzdane Oooey Gooey Cake. Great Dane. Promising youngster of 11 months, feminine head and expression, lovely length of neck into good front assembly, correct proportions, she was balanced and free on the move, handled to bring out her best, lovely temperament.

2. Simmons’ Ch. Chepam Woronora ShCM VW. Bouvier Des Flandres. Quality bitch of 8½ years, feminine strong head with correct planes, nicely angulated in front and rear, correct outline and shape, good depth of rib with short strong loin, lovely texture to coat, she moved out easily covering the ground well.

What a breath of fresh air, all exhibitors showed their dogs with a professional, kind and accepting manner, every single exhibitor thanked me and everyone smiled!

1. Whitcombe’s Arkangath Zola Bud. Miniature Schnauzer. 2 year old p/s bitch who stood out and was shown beautifully, expressive, feminine head with dark eye, nice outline standing and moving, lovely harsh coat.
