Retriever (Labrador)


PUPPY (7 Entries) Abs:  2


1  Watkin’s Saranden Be True  – A well presented 8 month old yellow bitch with a feminine head, with a classic kind expression.  Correct front and rear angulation create a clean balanced outline.  Movement accurate to front and rear maintaining a strong level topline and very good tail carriage.   Good double coat continuing through to the tip of her tail.  BP


2  Reardon’s Saranden Leap of Faith to Othamcourt – Another lovely 8 month old yellow bitch with slightly more substance than 1.  A feminine head with correct eye colour and pigmentation creating an engaging and happy expression.  Well bodied with good rib and depth of chest and good angulation. Movement very good, not quite as easy to assess but still moved with purpose when more settled.


JUNIOR (3 Entries) Abs: 0


1  Allen’s Timouron Hush Hush – 15 month old black bitch with a bright and kind expression.  Ears well set with dark eye and feminine skull.  A strong neck flows into well laid back shoulders, good straight forelegs with round, compact feet.  Good width and depth of chest and well ribbed with correct bend of stifle and well developed muscle.  Covered the ground well on the move with level topline and pleasing tail carriage.  Good dense coat from nose to tail.  RBOB


2  Reardon’s Rumhill Gladiator of Othamcourt – 14 month old black dog with masculine head and kind expression.    Powerful neck set into laid back shoulders with slightly less angulation than 1.  Plenty of bone with good width of chest with level topline and thick otter tail correctly set.  Good width of thigh, and plenty of muscle.  Stronger movement at front than rear but plenty of time to mature.  Another dense coat throughout.


POST GRADUATE (3 Entries) Abs:  1


1  Newman’s Creamwood Silver Hawthorn – Well presented yellow dog with plenty of substance.  Broad, masculine head with an eager and kind expression.  Strong and powerful neck set into well laid back shoulders with excellent angulation to front and rear.  Feet compact with straight front legs, well sprung barrel ribs with short coupling and well turned stifle with plenty of muscle creates balance.  Movement is strong with a level tail carriage.  Coat is thick and dense from nose to classic otter tail.  BOB


2  Kerr’s Trulace Ambassador – Dark chocolate dog with a gentle, kind expression and masculine head.  Blended eye colour with correct ear placement and skull proportions. Lots of substance with slightly less front angulation than 1.  Well turned stifle, strong topline and happy wagging tail creates a pleasing outline.  When moving this boy covered the ground with strength and style.

1  Kerr’s Trulace Ambassador   

 

2  Tomsett’s Buckholt Bridget Jones at Bournecott - Nicely sized black bitch carrying a little weight today.  A very pretty and kind, classic labrador expression with a dark eye and perfect ear set.  Well laid back shoulders, barrel chest and short coupling with rear angulation not quite as good as front.  Movement okay with the heat and a long wait not helping this veteran girl.  Tail carriage throughout very good as happily wagging from entering to leaving the ring.  Good dense coat.
