Thank you to the officers and committee for their kind invitation to judge your limit show. Your hospitality was lovely and the pie and peas a lovely touch on a such a cold day. Many thanks to all that entered and while there were several absentees there was some fabulous dogs in attendance, and I suspect many of the dogs would swap places on a different day quite easily.

AVNSC Minor Puppy Dog 2,1

1st Malone’s DI’LIELA’S SHELTIE AMORE MIO (IMP POL) – 8-month Blue Merle Shetland Sheepdog. Nice abundant coat, alert and watching his owner, he had a correct shaped head with good proportions. Ears carried well with typical tips falling forward. Nice arch to neck, well placed shoulders. Body still needs time to develop but very pleasing. Moved well. RBPIS

AVNSC Minor Puppy Bitch 3,2

1st Hume’s BEABEARDIES MUSTANG SALLY – 6-month Bearded Collie. Needs time to settle, active and alert and enjoyed the experience. Nice head and good pigment around eye rims. Good length to neck and ok shoulder placement. Was difficult to assess movement as she was very excited by the environment.

AVNSC Puppy Dog 2,1

1st Tanner& Baldwin’s BARFORDRIDGE IGOR – 11.5-month Rhodesian Ridgeback. Typical Ridgeback head with masculine look, correct ear placement, good strong neck and well-placed shoulders. Needs to drop into his front a little but should come in time. Nicely proportioned, good spring of rib. Moved well in the small hall.

AVNSC Puppy Bitch 5,2

1st Searle’s ASTLEYFOLD SNOWY BELL – 11-month Golden Retriever. Caught my eye as she entered the ring and didn’t disappoint. Lovey expression with typical kindness you would expect. Balanced head with good length and width. Dark brown eye with correct dark rims. Nice length of neck with good layback of shoulder. Good bone to the foreleg. Deep chest, well sprung ribs. Moved with good long stride. Pleased to award her BPIS

2nd Brown’s PHENCARR SILVER TILLY – 9-month silver dapple Mini Smooth Hair Dachshund. Little nervous today and wasn’t too happy on the move but handled well to allow me to assess. Typical dachshund head, conical with good size and sloping to the muzzle. Good length to shoulder blade, strong breastbone, good length to leg to allow ground clearance. Well-muscled rear, good broad feet.

1st Barrett’s DALAMANTI DUKE’S LEGEND JW – 23-month Liver & White Male Dalmatian. Elegant male with a fabulous outline on the stand. He had such fabulous ring presence. Good head with nice width between ears. Powerful muzzle with good clean fitting lips. Bright expression to the eyes with correct pigment around the rims. Lovely flow from nicely arched neck, clean well laid-back shoulders, good length of body and slight arch to the loin. Elbows close to the body and good round bone to forelegs. Good depth of chest. Nicely muscled rear with good turn of stifle. Moved out freely with a good stride even though space was limited. Happy to award him BIS.

2nd Hunter & Whinn’s KENSESQUI LONG JOHN SILVER -almost 20-month male Bull Terrier. Typical egg-shaped masculine head. Strong and deep face with good triangular eye. Correct shape ears, used to full advantage. Good Muscular neck and shoulders, good spring of rib and rounded body. Muscular rear with good 2nd thigh. Shown in good hard condition. Moved out well with typical bull terrier movement.

2nd Patterson’s RIVERROOTS RED SKALA – 3.5-Year-old Red, Fawn & White Whippet. Gentle expression to this bitch. Good shape to her head with bright eyes and good rose shaped ears. Graceful outline, good depth of chest with well defined tuck. Quite unsettled today but feel she could improve with some ringcraft.

2nd Nugent’s BOROBULLYZ DAISY DREAM – 5-year-old Brindle French Bulldog Bitch. Characteristic bat ears and good temperament. Well set eyes, good powerful neck. Nice length to her leg and good bone. Moved OK but just a little close on the rear today.

3rd Patterson’s BERWICKSPEED GOLDEN CHARM – Whippet

1st Strother’s BEACONPIKE ADONIS – 2.5-year-old Male Grizzle & Tan Border Terrier. Good size to this male and spannable. Typical otter shaped head, lovely dark eyes and small ears. Good length to leg with good bone but not overdone. Good pelt and nice tail. Moved out well.

2nd Hunter & Whinn’s KENTWONE AMARANTHUS – 3.5-year-old Male Bull Terrier. Another nice example of a bull terrier with good shape to his head. Good front with nice wide shoulders and good elbows, moved with typical jaunty movement.

1st Potts’ DEMERLAY IN YOUR EYES AT KLONDYKE - 2-year-old brindle and white Whippet Bitch. Lovely balanced outline with good curves. Nice head with correct rose shaped ears. Nice length to her neck, good depth of chest and bladed bone to forelegs. Well defined tuck and good rear. Moved out well.

2nd Tanner & Baldwin’s BARFORDRIDGE RUDOLPH – 4-year-old male Rhodesian Ridgeback. Shown in good condition. Handsome, good depth of chest and good bone to forelegs. Nice tight feet. Moved OK but was a bit unsettled today.

1st Griffiths’ BROCOLITIA AURORA – 3-year-old Wire Fox Terrier Bitch. Very smart girl who was up on her toes at all times ready to go. Nice shape to head and finished off with fabulous eye and good ear set. Good length of neck, good front assembly with nice chest and shoulder placement along with good straight leg. Good condition in the rear and moved with lovely straight forward action. RBIS

1st Barrett’s DALAMANTI CAESARS PALACE – 4-year-old Male Black & White Dalmatian. Nicely spotted and show in good condition. Looked like he could do a good day work. Friendly temperament, very happy to be there. Pleasing head with good proportions, clean lips and good depth to muzzle. Nice eyes with correct pigment to rims. Good front assembly, nice length to neck, good dept of chest and nice spring of rib. Level topline, good length to loin. Little excited on the move today.

2nd Nugents HILLTOPPRIDES KING KOBA – 2-year-old Male Black Chow Chow. Balanced outline. Good colour to mouth and tongue. Nice shape and size to head with good eyes giving typical chow scowl. Well coated with a good rough texture. Small correct feet. Moved ok

1st Kynaston’s GRANASIL OVALTINE – 1-year-old male Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Typical expression with kind eyes. Nice head with good length from stop to tip of nose. Lovely long ears with nice feathering. Well lad back shoulders and good bone to front legs. Tail carried well giving the happy appearance you expect to see. Plenty of coat with correct feathering. Moved well.

1st Bloomfield’s GLENOAK LAQUAN ShCEX VW – 8-year-old Male Black & Silver Saluki. Lovely example of te breed who still had everything where it should be. Slightly reserved but dignified and gentle. Typical long skull with good width between the ears and a good covering of hair on long ears. Straight foreleg with slight lope to the pasterns. Good feet with nice arch to the toes. Low set tail with nice feathering and carried well on the move. Moved well with a lovely light stride. BVIS

2nd Kynaston’s GRANSIL GOLDEN NUGGET ShCEX VW – almost 9 year old Male Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Another veteran shown in great condition. Lovely gentle expression with large dark eyes. Plenty of feathering to his ears and set on well. Nice length to body with good spring of rib. Feet nice and compact with feathering. Tail carried well. Moved out well with free action.
