Thank you very much to the secretary & committee for the invitation to judge so many breeds with good quality entries. I have never been to this show before. I found the show to be such a lovely atmosphere, very well organised & a very enjoyable day. The day was freezing cold, windy but dry (mainly). Thank you to everyone who entered dogs under me, I was truly blessed with some good quality dogs.

Miniature Smooth Haired Dachshund
Puppy (0/0). Special Yearling (1/1). Limit (2/1) 1st RBOB – Taylor’s Whitewebbs Titania, A pretty, Shaded Red bitch of 2 years 5 months. A good head on this girl with a dark eye & correct eye shape. Good lay of shoulder, prominent prosternum, well ribbed. Shown in good condition. Moved well with good drive. Open (2/1) 1st BOB - Cross’s Loggeta Establoomingsmall. A very pretty Shaded Red girl at 17 months old. Lovely dark eyes, correct head shape, well placed shoulders giving good angulation in front. Well ribbed up with a strong short loin. Hind angulation is good, keeping in balance with the forequarters. Lovely topline both stacked & on the move.

Puppy (2/2), Special Yearling (1/0) 1st BOB Cross’s Breezelyn Long Way To Go To Loggeta. A very handsome 12-month-old male with a stunning Shaded Red coat shown in excellent condition. A good conical, true & stunning hound head, dark almond shaped eyes, correct ear set & size. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders, equal length of Scapular to Upper Arm at true 45-degree angles. Lovely well place elbows. Good length of rib leading to a short strong loin. Hind angles are good & in balance with the forequarters. On the move, this boy can really move, he is sound, true, parallel with good reach & drive. I was really pleased to hear that he was Group 2. One to watch for the future. Limit (2/2), Open (1/1)
Smooth Haired Dachshund
Puppy (0/0), Special Yearling (1/0) 1st BOB Taylor’s Hampdach Cheeky Chappy at Whitewebbs. An 18-month-old Shaded Red Male with a good, handsome & well-shaped head with a lovely dark eye, correct ear set & shape. Lovely length of neck, well laid shoulder & a super prosternum. Good length of keel & rib. Well angled hind quarters which he used well to drive himself around the ring. Limit (1/0) 1st Gaskin’s Hampdach I Am The One & Only At Dovestream. An 18-month-old Shaded Red Male. Presented in good condition & good coat. He has a lovely dark eye & dark pigmentation. Good shoulder placement & good length of upper arm. On the move he moved well, balanced & held his topline. Open (3/1/) 1st RBOB – Gaskin’s Dovestream Who Killkenny IR JR CH A Black & Tan Male at 2yr 10mnth. Good head, set on a good length of neck, leading to well-placed shoulders. Good width & crook, keel of good length. Hind quarters well muscled & angled. Level topline & moved well 2nd Gaskin & Williams IR CH Dovestream Do Me A Favour. A Black & Tan bitch at 7yrs 10 months. A good shaped, pretty head with a dark, well-shaped eye. Good length of neck with well-placed shoulders & good length of upper arm. Level topline, well angulated hind quarters. Not in the best of coat today. Moved out well

Puppy (2/0), 1st BPIB Coverley’s Aventine The Poacher. A lovely 10-month-old, male Wild Boar puppy. He has a very pleasing & correct head with good shape & of good size with good furnishings. He found the experience of the wind & flapping of ring tape quite unsettling which was understandable for a dog of this age. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders & nicely placed elbows. His body is of good length with good ribbing & short loin. His hind quarters are nicely angulated & not overdone in any way. I look forward to seeing him in the future. 2nd Balwin’s Aventine The Squire. The litter brother to 1. Good head on this boy, good length of neck, well placed shoulders. Good angles front & rear. Good harsh coat. Higher tail set than 1. Moved well. Special Yearling (0/0) Limit (2/0) 1st Munday & Spalding’s Cishelvine Can’t Catch Me with Kubear. At 6yr 9months this lovely, Wild Boar, lovely sized bitch was shown in super fit condition with excellent muscle. She is well balanced throughout. Pretty head with good shaped eye, good length of neck, well laid shoulders, nicely placed elbows. Good ribbing & good hind angulation. She motors around the ring holding her topline well. Moves freely & true. 2nd Baldwins’s Aventine Joss Merlin. A male, Wild Boar dog of 2 yrs 9 months. Another lovely dog in this class. Well balanced dog with a angles front & rear. Slightly shorter in ribbing than 1. Moved out well showed good drive. Open (4/1) 1st BOB Mease’s Gino at Harvidean. 3yr 10 months, male, Wild Boar presented in excellent coat. A lovely, well balanced dog with good balanced angles front & rear. He has a good, handsome head of correct proportions with a well-shaped, dark eye. His shoulders are well laid back giving him good front angulation & showing a prominent prosternum. His body is a super length with good ribbing & length of keel with a solid short loin. This boy is not overdone in any way. On the move is where he really shows himself, he drops into himself moving freely & true, holding his topline beautifully. I was happy to give him BOB & pleased to hear of his Group 4 achievement. 2nd RBOB Coverley’s Aventine Aunt Patience JW Another super Dachshund. A bitch of lovely size with correct shape & sized head. She has a lovely gentle, dark eye. She has a good length of neck, well placed shoulders with good angulation front & rear. She is of a good length. Slightly shorter in rib/longer in loin than 1. She moves beautifully, showing her reach & drive & holding her topline whilst she goes. I was happy to award her RBOB.

Poodle Standard
Puppy (0/0) Special Yearling (0/0) Limit (1/1) Open (1/0) 1st BOB Coates’s Jaspalie Ghost. WOW! This 5 yr old White Male is stunning, presented in a beautiful harsh coat. Excellent head shape with a masculine look about him, lovely dark pigmentation, correct almond shaped eye. Neck of good length with no loose skin under his chin, Shoulders were well laid back giving him a superb shaped forequarter with good angles placing his fore legs underneath him. He has a good depth & length of rib, with a short, strong loin. Hind quarters were angled well with well let down hocks. Moved with grace, elegance and drive.

Puppy (0/0). Special Yearling (0/0) Limit (2/1/) 1st BOB Naulls’s Sunny Side Up. A well presented Orange Belton, Male of 6 yrs of age. A good head with correct proportions and shape. Good dark pigmentation for this colour dog. Good length of neck with correct muscle tone. Shoulders were well laid and of good width. Nice strong round bone with good feet with well arched toes. Ribbing is deep and of good length. Moved well, true, sound and straight . Open (1/0) 1st RBOB Naulls’s – Silmanhurst Golden Hugo. Another nice quality Orange Belton Male of 10 yrs of age. He had a paler pigmentation than 1 but still a handsome dog. Head of equal proportions with good skull shape, ears set low and of moderate length. Good lay of shoulder with good front angles. Straight strong bone with good strong feet. Good deep ribs leading to a short, strong loin. Hocks well let down. Moved well and sound with good drive and a happy tail movement from side to side.

Puppy (0/0) Special Yearling (1/1) Limit (0/0) Open (1/0) 1st BOB Alpe & Abram’s Amscot True Lies (AI) A real nice quality bitch of 4 years, presented in good coat. Head of good shape, proportions and size with a feminine look about her. She is well balanced through out. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders with a good length of blade. Strong flat bone with good strong feet. Ribs of good depth and length. Hind quarters well angled with good length of second thigh and well let down hocks. Moved with good drive, freely and true.

Puppy (5/0) 1st BPIB Middleton-Collins’s – Berrymead A Fool In Love of Jasperleigh. An almost 12 month old male presented in good show condition. He is well balanced and mature for one so young. He has a good masculine head of good size and shape. Lovely dark pigmentation and eye colour. Good length of neck, with well angled forequarters, good length of upper arm., Well placed forelegs directly underneath him. He has good strong bone & also stands on good feet. Good depth of rib & short loin. Nicely angled hind quarters, good bend of stifle, hocks well let down. Moved freely showing good reach & drive. 2nd Oughton’s, Carubelo Live The Dream. Another lovely, handsome, male puppy at just over 11 months old. This was a tough class of quality puppies. This boy is little heavier built than 1. He has a good shape of head with lovely dark pigment. He has a well laid shoulder and a good return of upper arm, placing his front, straight legs well underneath him. Nice level topline, nice moderate angle in his hind quarters with good return of stifle. Moved well with balance and drive. 3rd Foreman’s Ambersun Summer Son. Special Yearling (5/1) 1st, Rounce & Tye’s Berrymeade Winter Love. Another lovely dog, he has a good head with dark pigment. Good length of neck and a well laid shoulder, leading to a good level topline. Well sprung ribs. Good angulation in his hind quarters, well let down hocks. This boy won his class on his movement. He was well balanced, showing good reach & drive. 2nd Middleton-Collins’s – Berrymead A Fool In Love of Jasperleigh, 3rd Foreman’s Ambersun I’ll Fly For You. Limit (3/2) 1st Foreman’s Ambersun All Of My Heart. A nicely balanced Bitch. She has a good head, lovely correct ear set, a dark picment, good length of neck leading to well laid shoulders. Good length and angle of upper arm with front legs placed underneath her. Good length of rib with a strong short loin. Angles in the rear quarters balance with the front. This girl moved very well showing good reach & drive. Open 1st BOB, Barber’s Messano Just Good Friends with Swansreach. This dog took my heart. He has the most kindly expression in his dark eyes. Well laid ears, Good length of neck, with a good lay of shoulder, well angled from Scapular to upper arm giving him a lovely forechest. His front legs stand well under him on good strong feet. He has good rib length, short loin that leads to a hindquarters that matches the angles of the front. Hocks well let down. His movement is free flowing, good reach & drive covering the ground with ease. Thrilled to give him BOB. 2nd RBOB Hush’s Benrowan Esprit. A lovely well balanced, feminine bitch. She is of good size and has balance in angles throughout. This was a tough decision again. She has a good head with dark eyes, well placed ears and good length of neck. She has well placed shoulders, correct length of upper arm and front legs placed well under her. Her body is of good length with short strong loin. Well angled in the hind quarter, well let down hocks. On the move, well , all I can say is that my notes say pocket rocket. Stunning on the move covering the ground with ease. Proud to award her RBOB

Puppy – (0/0) Special Yearling (4/3) 1st RBOB, Frusher & Slack’s Chanangel When You Believe At Shersona. A Stunning, Liver & White bitch at just under 2 years old. Beautifully presented in good coat. A good head of equal proportions. Skull well rounded. Lovely dark eyes, ears placed well in line with the eye. Good neck length. Well laid shoulders, good straight front legs with good feet and pasterns. Good length of body with strong loin. Well angulated hind quarters, hocks, well let down. On the moved she held her topline well, driving well from the rear. Limit (2/0) 1st Frusher’s Dexbenella Fenella At Shersona. A very pretty bitch, Liver & White. Head of equal proportions, showing a rounded skull, Good depth of muzzle, ear set correct. A good fore quarter of moderate angles. Good rib length, short loin, well angulated hind quarters. Moved with good drive and level topline. Open (3/1) 1st BOB, Keely’s Khaleesi De Les LLacunes with Alhambiam (IMP ESP) This bitch made me wow! She has a good shaped head, with a nice dark eye, her neck is of good length and is muscular, her shoulders lay back well. The upper arm is of equal length to the scapular giving her a good forechest. Her front legs are of good, straight bone & has good feet that stand under her body. The length of rib is good with a short, strong loin. Her hind quarters are well angulated, with a good return of stifle with hocks well let down. On the move this bitch excelled herself. She powers across the ground covering it with ease. So pleased to award her BOB.
