Flatcoated Retriever

PD/B (3/0) 1st BPIB Mrs S & Miss M Lewis’s - Fairwinds Blooming Wild. A feminine, Black, 6-month-old bitch. This girl is so well balanced for one so young. She has a feminine one-piece head with a dark, almond shaped eye. Good length of neck. Super length of rib with a strong short loin. She has a good topline & moved effortlessly & parallel with good drive. 2nd Mrs M E Romeo Dieste’s Hopevalley Morning Xanadu. A moderate, Black bitch of 9 months old. This was a tough decision. A well moulded one-piece pretty head on a good length of neck. Well placed shoulders, good length of rib & loin, she has lovely angulation in her hind quarters. She moved well & freely but not as parallel fore & aft as 1. 3rd Miss H Holden’s Fairwinds Flowertot. Special Yearling D/B (5/4) 1st Mrs R McCammick’s -Montegrino Pied Piper for Saffdales. A very pretty 15-month-old Black bitch. She has a lovely head of correct shape with a good dark eye. Good length of neck, good oval bone & good feet. Hind angles were good, would prefer more length of rib, nevertheless she moved solidly around the ring showing good balance. GradD/B (3/2) 1st Mrs R McCammick’s -Montegrino Pied Piper for Saffdales – As above. PGD/B (4/0) 1st, Mrs J Taylor-Bain’s – Rainesgift Mountain Bluet. A very sound Male of nearly 3 ½ years. He has a good one-piece head with a good dark eye, good reach of neck, solid oval bone & stands on good feet. He has good width of chest, plenty of heart room. He has good hind angulation & a solid topline. He won this class on his movement. He moved with good reach/drive, parallel fore/aft whilst holding his topline. 2nd Mrs S Kearton’s Braemist Bootlegger at Ravenhall. Very difficult decision between 1 & 2. A Black, male that is the correct, moderate size. He has a lovely shaped, pleasing head & eye. Front angulation is good & solid. He has good length of rib with a short loin. Moved balanced & straight. 3rd Mrs J Legg’s Ruddleberry Pheonix Song. OD (3/0) What a class this was! All of these dogs I have admired from the ringside. 1st BOB Mrs V Bowen’s - Clandrift Bring Me Sunshine JW KGWGC. A Black male at 2 years 3 months stands well in the ring, owning his place. He has a good masculine moulded head, with good eye. He has good deep brisket, good angles in front good oval bone & stands on good round feet. He is balanced in angulation fore & aft with a solid topline. He is well ribbed. He moved effortlessly around the ring, showing good reach/drive keeping his balance, won on movement. 2nd Mrs S May’s Ronevorg Dark Angel at Lussac JW KCWGC KCSGWC. Another stunning boy. I have watched this dog grow & have always admired him. He has matured into a top-class boy. He has a good, masculine head with a good eye shape & colour. Super length of neck, with angulations front & rear in balance with each other. His body is of good depth. Today, he gave his handler such a hard time on the move which is where he lost to 1. He moved effortlessly around the ring showing power & drive & was parallel fore & aft, however as he was so full of himself he compromised his front movement today. 3rd Mrs L S Jones’s Hightyne Unforgetable at Braemist.

OB (8/3) Another super class of quality bitches. 1st RBOB Mrs M E Romeo-Dieste’s Hopevalley Morning Wicked. A lovely, well balanced throughout 4-year-old Black bitch of moderate size & shape. This girl has a lovely Shaped, feminine head, she has a lovely length of neck, with well placed shoulders. She stands upright, straight front legs & on solid round feet. She has good length of rib & a strong short loin. On the move she covered the ground effortlessly, moving straight & sound whilst keeping her balance. 2nd Mrs H Ford’s – Lussac Yawl of Percuil JW SGWC. This is another lovely Black bitch, although carrying a touch to much weight today. She has a good shaped feminine head with a good shape/colour of eye. Good length of neck & well-placed shoulders. Front angles are good on this girl which showed well on the move giving her the reach in front she needed. She has good rib & loin lengths leading to good, moderate angulation behind. She is impressive on the move, covering the ground with ease whilst holding her balance well. 3rd Mrs S Kearton’s – Hopevalley Morning Dew at Ravenhall.

English Setter

SYD/B (6/2) 1st Mrs S E Rainey’s - Culverwell Touch of Fortune At Wolmersdon. A bitch of just over 12 months old, Orange Belton. She is very elegant, balanced in outline, good length of neck with a good crest, nicely boned with good tight feet. Body is of good depth, ribs of good length with nice wide loins. Hind angulation good, with well let down hocks. Tail set well on which she used well on the move. Movement was athletic & true with a good topline through to the tip of tail. 2nd Mrs H J Wilkinson-Sargeant’s - Walshaw Can’t Stop Dancing. Another lovely dog, this time a Blue Belton Male of just over 12 months old. Not quite as mature in body as 1 at the moment but has much potential. This boy has a lovely shape of head with a kind expression. He has good length of neck & well-placed shoulders of good width. His front angles are good & in balance with the hind quarters. He has good bone & feet. Good ribbing & loin length & width. His hind quarters are nicely angled & hocks well let down. He has a good tail set that he used well on the move. He moved with grace & style. 3rd Mrs M Osman’s – Bournhouse Sirocco Over Marissilo JW. PGD/B (2/0) 1st RBOB Mrs D Hilditch’s - Barleymoats Summer Breeze. A Blue Belton bitch of just over 4 yrs. A bitch of good size & shape, she is not overdone in anyway. Good shaped head with good length of neck, into well laid shoulders. Front & hind are in balance. Her forelegs are straight with good upright pasterns & tight feet. She is well ribbed with a strong loin. On the move she had a solid topline, with her tail coming straight from her back finishing the overall look of grace & purpose. Moved well showing good drive. 2nd Mrs T & Mr D Thomas’s – Kanietter Sarka. A Blue Belton male of just over 2 yrs shown in good coat. Another lovely dog with a good head, super shape of skull. Good length of neck, well placed shoulders of good width. Straight front legs with upright pasterns & good feet. Well ribbed, deep body, short strong loin showing the slight rise. Good hind angles, hocks well let down. Moved well but not as strong in movement as 1. OD (4/1) 1st Mrs C J Tucker’s Mariglen Nightwish for Walshaw. Another Blue Belton Male in good coat of almost 4 years. This boy has a good head with a strong muscular neck & crest. His shoulders are well placed. Angulation in front is good, his elbows are well let down & close to the body, he has good bone size & shape, strong pasterns & with good feet. His hind is in balance with his front quarters, good bend of stifle. On the move his tail was correct & actively slashing from side to side. Moved well & sound. 2nd Mrs H J Wilkinson-Sargeant’s - Phenset Firestorm. Another lovely dog, this one is an Orange Belton male of 4 ½ years. This boy has a super head with a lovely rounded skull. Correct ear set, shape & size. Good length of neck, well placed shoulders, good shape & size of bone. He has good depth of body & is well ribbed. He has moderate angles in the rear quarters. Moved well but today his tail was carried a little high. OB (1/0) 1st BOB Mrs C J Tuckers - Walshaw Center Stage. A lovely, feminine, Orange Belton Bitch of nearly 5 ½ yrs. She has a good shaped head of good proportions with a nice rounded skull. She has a good length of neck leading to well placed shoulders. Her fore quarters well angled with good width at the shoulder. She has good ribbing & a short strong loin. She has a good bend of stifle & well let down hocks enabling her to drive with power.

Gordon Setter

GRAD D/B (4/2) 1st Ball’s - Kilnrae Black Sapphire. A 2 ½ year old bitch presented in good coat. Good bone & feet with well arched toes. Good length of shoulder blade with good lay. Hind quarters showing good length from hip to hock, would have liked more return of stifle. Movement balanced in profile. 2nd Jarvis’s – Beechlake Somersetter. A male of almost 2 ½ years of good size. Shown in good coat. A very attractive head of good proportions on this boy. Good size & shape of bone. Good depth of body & length of rib. Hind quarters well angled with good length from Hio to hock. Hock well let down. Unfortunately, he didn’t move well today which is a shame as I liked him. L D/B 1st BOB Ball’s – Lignum Caribou. A very attractive 3 year od male of good size & bone. This boy has a super head & eye all of good proportions, a good length of neck, well placed shoulders with good length of blade. He has strong bone & stands on good tight feet. Good length & depth of rib, short strong loin. His hind quarters are well angulated with a good bend of stifle. Hock to ground nice & short. This dog moved so well today, he was powerful & graceful. 2nd RBOB Smith’s – Amscot Air Born Via Kewstoke. A feminine bitch of 2 ½ years old. Good head with good length of neck. Shoulders well laid back with good length of blade. Good, straight forelegs well feathered. Good length & depth of rib, short strong loin leading to well angulated quarters with good bend of stifle. Short hock with good bone. Moved well holding a good topline.

Irish Red & White Setter

Open D/B (2/0) 1st BOB Martin’s- Laoirebay Steel Blue Ocean at Shannonstyle JW. A 7-year-old well-constructed & balanced male. Good head, with a well domed skull. Correct ear set, shape & size. Good strong neck with well laid shoulders. Good bone & feet. Well sprung ribs of good length & depth. Hips are nicely wide with plenty of muscle. Super topline which he held on the move. Moved with elegance & drive. 2nd RBOB Martin, Martin & Green’s Rhoswendale Game Is On Again For Viszaset (Imp Fin) A male of only 14 months in good coat. He is a lovely boy that I believe will go on to do well. A very stylish head of good proportions. Good reach of neck, well laid shoulders. Ribs deep & good length, loin, short & strong. Hips wide & muscled. Good bend of stifle. Moved well.

Field Spaniel

Grad D/B (3/0) 1st Porters - Winsbrook Gypsy Moth. A 3-year-old Black bitch of good size, presented in good coat. She is well constructed & strong bone, with good spring of rib. Strong loin leading to well angulated hind with a good bend of stifle. Moved effortlessly with good drive. 2nd BPIB Willcock’s - Vanilla Du Rieu Gr& Avec Dynarkaraky (IMP FRA). A 7-month-old Liver baby, a good head with leanness under the eyes. Presented in good coat for a youngster. Good strong bone. Was unsettled on the move to begin with but once settled she moved well. 3rd Harding’s – Kingmist Tranquillity. Open D (3/0) BOB Porter, Russell & Palm’s – Bogdogs Brynnyth At Winsbrook. A 4 years old Liver male. Shown in good coat, super chiselled head with a kind expression. Lean under the eyes. Ears well set. Neck Muscular, shoulders well laid back. Good strong bone & feet Ribs of good length & depth. Hind angles in proportion to the forequarter. Moved well, straight & sound, driving well from behind, showing rear pads when going away. 2nd Willcock’s – Lux Ch Ustorpabyns Fields First Time To Dynarkaraky. A 2-year-old Liver male. Another lovely boy shown in good condition. Good head, muscular neck, well laid shoulders good length & angle of upper arm. Good feet. Well boned but not a strong bone as 1. Well ribbed up. Moved well but unsettled. 3rd Harding’s – Remember Me JW Open B (3/0) 1st RBOB Willcock’s Lux/Slo/Nl/Be/Int Ch Dynarkaraky Deuces Are Wild. A 5-year-old Liver Bitch. A very pleasing bitch, beautifully balanced front & hind. She has a good head that is well chiselled & lean under the eye. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders. Good strong bone. Good depth & length of rib. Moved with good drive holding a good topline. 2nd Harding’s – Kingsmist Miss Marple JW. A 6 years old Black bitch. A feminine bitch with a good, well chiselled head. Balanced throughout. Good straight front legs with flat bone. Good topline & moved well, keeping good balance. 3rd Porter’s – Kingsmist Agatha Christie At Winsbrook

Weimaraner

Grad D/B (1/0) 1st RBOB Burgess’s – Gamepoint Zoom By Hantzburg. A feminine 17-month-old bitch. Good head & eye with a moderate stop. Ears set high with correct fold & length. Body nicely balanced in shape & size. Good firm feet with well arched toes. Moved with grace, elegance, reach & drive. Open D (4/2) 1st BOB Burgess’s – Gunalt Vettel To Hantzburg ShCEx. A stunning 5-year-old male who literally owns the ring. This boy has a stunning head of correct proportions. /good, strong neck, well laid-back shoulders, strong, straight forelegs & excellent feet. His ribs are just the right depth & length leaving a short & strong loin. He is well angulated in the hind quarters & he knows just how to use it on the move. He moves with strength, power & drive whilst keeping his topline & balance. 2nd Carpenter’s – Aschfahl Kepayne. Another well made dog. He is 18 months so now needs time to mature. Good head with correct ear set, shape & size. Well-muscled neck & fore quarters. Strong, straight front legs with strong feet. Good depth of brisket. Well ribbed up, strong loin. Hind quarters are muscular & well defined. On the moved he was a little unsettled but still held his topline. Open B (1/0) 1st Reakes’ – Thrihyrne Love Letters. A 4-year-old, long haired bitch. A bitch that is feminine & elegant. She is shown in good coat. Her sleek feminine head balances well with her body. She has a good ear set with ample furnishings. She has a strong muscular neck, with well laid shoulders. her front legs are straight & strong & stands on good feet. Her length of rib is correct. She has good angles in her hind quarters. She was steady on the move.
