RHODESIAN RIDGEBACK Thank you to the society for inviting me to judge at your friendly and well-run show. And thank you to the exhibitors for your entries and the opportunity to judge your beautiful hounds. All dogs had good temperaments, correct bites and correct ridges. PUPPY (2,2) YEARLING (2,0) 1: Whiteside’s JIMANNS TAVULLIA Lovely 12-month wheaten bitch shown in great condition. Has a correct clean head and dark round eye. Great reach of neck and well-balanced angulation. Good substance, lovely depth of chest, standing on tight feet and good length of ribbing and with correct tail set. She held her topline well on the move and strode out well for her handler. 2: Greeves’ PENHOLDA SWEET LADY Another lovely bitch with feminine head, good reach of neck, lovely tight feet, correct front pasterns and balanced moderate angulation. Moved well for her handler, maintaining her topline. Would prefer to see her carrying a little less weight. POST GRADUATE (2,0) 1: Greeves’ PENHOLDA SWEET LADY See Yearling 2: Whiteside’s JIMANNS JACKASS A handsome 2-year-old male with a strong masculine head, correct planes and good ear set. Great forechest and depth of chest, good ribbing and strong loin with slight arch over the loin. Good substance and tight feet and lovely balanced angulation. A lovely boy who needed a bigger ring to be able to stride out correctly LIMIT (4,1) 1: Jolly’s NEGASI ELBERITH FOR CLANBRUACHAN JW 2-year-old mid-wheaten bitch. She has a beautiful clean feminine head and lovely reach of neck. Well balanced and with good substance and shown in fabulous condition. Great forechest and depth of chest with good length of ribbing and strong loin. She has correct front pasterns, great feet, correct tailset and well let down hocks. Her movement around the ring was efficient and effortless, maintaining her topline well and working well with her handler. Delighted to award her Best of Breed and to see her awarded Hound Group 2 2: Greeves’ PENHOLDA SWEET LADY See Yearling OPEN (4,1) 1: Scanlon’s KINABULA’S ALL ABOUT THE BASS JW ShCEx OSW 6-year-old light wheaten bitch with a beautiful true hound head with correct dark, round eye. She has good forechest and depth of chest and good substance. Lovely tight feet, correct front pasterns and good angulation. Strong loin with slight arch over, correct tail set and strong second thigh. She moved out well with precision and joy and was a strong contender for BOB. 2: Whiteside’s JIMANNS THE DOCTOR Handsome mid-wheaten 6-year-old male with great substance. A strong masculine head, fabulous forechest and depth of chest. Good feet, well balanced angulation, and correct front pasterns. At one with his handler, just preferred the movement of first place.
