Thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge and their kind hospitality, also huge thanks must got to my hard working stewards who kept the ring running smoothly and efficiently
I had a lovely entry of dogs today which gave me some difficult decisions but I can only judge how a dog looks and moves on the day and on another day results could be different that’s how close some choices were
Golden Retriever
Puppy (4, 1abs)
1st James Tsaramont Oh So Starstruck (AI) Beautifully balanced 8 month bitch showing lots of promise. She has the sweetest of heads with lovely pigmentation and a soft eye. Her leg to body ratio is excellent, well angulated fore and aft with plenty of rib. On the move she was so clean and steady covering the ground well BP Delighted to hear she took Puppy Group 2
2nd Hills Drumkilty One Night Stand for Sandaula. Delicious baby with bags of character, very pretty with a really bubbly personality. She is nicely made with good bone and feet. She did settle on the move after a little play
3rd Denham-Hortons Foxlaws Harmony
Junior (3, 1abs)
1st Rileys Jasrolyn Doe Ray Me among Wylloh Pale gold bitch with a balanced head and soft eye, good width to skull and tidy ears. She has a clean neck which flows into a laid back shoulder and strong topline, Plenty of rib and a firm coupling led to broad stifles which she put to good use on the move showing a lovely profile movement. I heard after this was the win she needed for her JW congratulations
2nd Stanilands Bermary Sweet Child of Mine When this breed blows its coat they really blow it and this girl had done so in style but lack of coat does not detract from her make and shape. Sweet head with a gentle eye and well set ears. She has a firm topline and strong, broad stifles. A touch wider in front than my winner on the move today.
PGrad (7, 1abs)

2nd Taylor & Tennis Strettonhill’s Daffodil Another who had decided to leave her coat at home but again the lack of coat means nothing is hidden. She has a lovely shape with good length of rib and strong coupling, her head is very feminine with a good length to the muzzle and well shaped eye. Clean and true on the move

Two very similar bitches, this was one of those close decisions
1st Paceys Satinbaze Tea For Two with Shelkaru 14 month bitch who is very elegant for one so young. She has a beautifully moulded head with a well shaped eye, tidy ear and clean neck. She has a laid back shoulder and lovely return of upperarm. She is deep in rib with a firm topline, broad stifles and well let down hocks. Put down in gleaming condition with a strong, ground covering movement.
2nd Hedges Satinbaze Tranquil Sea Another one with lots to like about her. Tidy, workmanlike outline with balanced angulation throughout. She has a good length of muzzle and correct stop. Strong front with plenty of forechest and shining coat. She was not as finished overall and 1st and was a little bit erratic on the move today.

1st Harrisons Millpoint Watson 8 month b/w dog with a lovely typy outline. He has a classic head with a dark eye and good length of muzzle, just the right amount of stop and good width of skull. He has a clean neck and lovely fill in front. He really didn’t have his mind on the job when it came to moving but I saw enough to award him the class.
2nd Truemans Millpoint Bamburgh Boy. More immature youngster of the correct size who shows promise. He has a balanced head with correct stop and bright, keen eye. He has balanced angulation and good quarters, just needs to develop in body. Another who needs to settle on the move.

Ears are well set and of the correct size and shape. Strong through the neck and front with a good layback of shoulder, he has plenty of rib under a firm topline leading to a strong coupling. Well muscled stifles gave plenty of drive, he was a joy to watch on the move with a powerful, ground covering action RBOB
2nd Harrisons Millpoint Winchester Balanced 8 month dog with a masculine head, good length of foreface and defined stop, he just needs a touch more width in skull which I’m sure will come with time. He has a lovely curvy outline with pleasing angulation and firm, slightly sloping topline. Clean limbed with tight feet and when he co-operated with his handler he showed great reach and a lovely profile action which won him BP
