1st Gunsyn Hot Pants Strongly built bitch with plenty of size and substance, she has a balanced head with large spongy nose and lean cheeks, firm through the neck with good angulation but just a little heavy over the withers. Strong through the back with depth of rib and firm loin. She has a lovely reach on the move just needs to strengthen in rear. RBOB

2nd Woodland Blue Mama Mia at Talyfan. Pretty 10 month bitch who was a little overwhelmed by her surroundings. She has a promising shape with a kind eye, needs to settle on the move. BP

1st Talyfan Affogatto. In side profile his head showed the correct divergent head planes with depth of muzzle and chiselling. Balanced angulation with pleasing forechest and deep well sprung ribs, he is just over square with a slight tuck up and strong hindquarters which he put to good use on the move once he settled. BOB

English Setter

Junior (1)

1st Kanietter Sea Shanty Just 6 months and a real baby but he has so much potential. He has a lovely head and expression with a well shaped eye. Shoulders are nicely laid back with a good length of upperarm and his topline is level. Very raw on the move but when he did get it together he showed a sound true action. BP BOB

1st Kanietter Sarka Pleasing head with correct oval skull and well-placed ears of good length. Good eye shape and colour and with a nice expression. He has a clean neck but I would prefer a truer front, deep well sprung ribs with a broad rump. Steady mover RBOB

2nd Belton Pearls A Kind Of Magic Mature dog with plenty of coat and furnishings, he has a good depth and length of muzzle but not quite the strength of stop of my winner. Clean through the shoulder with a firm topline and width of thigh. Not as positive in action on the move.

1st Cwngiedd Amman Bach 7 month boy and very much a baby, he has a decent outline standing with lovely angulations. A gentle masculine head with a bright well shaped eye set off by tidy ears. He has good bone and feet for his age and lots of enthusiasm on the move which did spoil his topline somewhat. BP

1st Pingarypoint Milk Shake. What a striking bitch, she is beautifully balanced with excellent muscletone, she presented such a streamlined outline and did not disappoint when I got my hands on her, everything fitted together exactly with the correct amount of depth and spring of rib. On the move she did not put a foot wrong, clean and true with a lovely flowing action. BOB and GROUP 1

1st Germanus Makin A Point. Upstanding 20 month male showing strength and masculinity, he has an intelligent expression with a good beard, plenty of brainroom and nicely set ear. Clean through the neck and shoulder with a firm topline and muscled rear which he put to good use on the move, not quite the depth and spring of rib when it came to the challenge but that will come with maturity.RBOB

2nd Bryantscroft Estelle. 8mth puppy who has all the essentials for her age. Pretty, feminine head well set on neck of moderate length. Good lay of shoulder & return of upper arm. Chest deep enough for her age, firm topline & correct tailset. Lovely width of second thigh, another who was lively on the move but I managed to see a few good strides. BP

1st SHCH Mustwork Uland. powerfully built male and so masculine in overall outlook with the desired harsh texture to coat, strong bone and in great condition throughout. He has a super head with lovely furnishings and plenty of brainroom. He presented a strong outline with deep ribs and a firm loin, broad well muscled stifles gave ground covering movement. BOB

2nd Tynsil Just One Smile Solid liver bitch of moderate size with a good length of muzzle and skull, would just like a little more stop. Balanced angulation with a firm topline held well on the move.

1st Vizslanya Csibe JW Just right for size, a shade darker in colour than is the norm but not incorrect. Feminine expression with good head planes and muzzle. She was shown in lovely hard condition with pleasing moderate angles front and back which gave her movement reach and drive. BOB

2nd Goviz Spring Rains by Viszaset (AI) Well made young dog who was just a little immature on the move. Pleasing balanced head with a grave expression, good length of neck and strong topline, broad well muscled thighs with firm rear pasterns.RBOB

1st Zengoes Romeo This boy was a little on the big size for me but he was well balanced with a well proportioned head and bright expression. Good angulation front and rear with depth and length of rib. He lacked drive on the move but was true fore and aft. Strong, harsh coat finished the picture.

1st Enryb Lily The Pink Very tidy feminine bitch I loved her size and shape. She has the best of heads with a bright expression and well shaped eye of good colour, pleasing furnishings and a true wiry coat.. So clean through the neck and shoulder with well angulated forequarters. She has the correct amount of rib and a strong loin, well muscled quarters gave driving movement but her handler took her around the ring far too fast which meant she struggled to stay balanced at times especially in the group which was such a shame. BOB

2nd Farnfield Pickpocket for Brightmeadow JW Another of the correct size and substance for me just a little softer in coat, he has a gentle masculine head with good width to his skull and nicely set ear. He has a developed chest with depth and spring, just a touch longer cast than my ideal. Broad well muscled rear used well on the move RBOB

1st Valeska V.D. Turfhoeve am Cartrefyspin Lovely O/W bitch with the sweetest of heads and a soft, grave expression, divergent head planes so clear to see with plenty of beard and furnishings. She is so balanced with a true topline and deep rib, strong bone and super feet. She moved out with that ground covering action but sadly had lost interest when it came to the group BOB

1st Navazuelas Stormcloud (ESP) 10 month B/W dog up to size but balanced throughout. He has a well-shaped head, dark eyes and good ear placement. Strong neck of good length leading to tidy shoulders and front assembly. Cleanl boned legs and tidy feet. He has a developed body for his age with length of rib, he has strength in his quarters giving good rear action BOB BP

2nd Zoalin Better Together This 8 month bitch was carrying weight which meant she had lost that curvy outline the breed is known for. She has a feminine head but it needs to develop at the moment. She was steady on the move just a little concerned about her surroundings.

1st Ravenho Looks Like Trouble for Brightmeadow Substantially built masculine dog with a wedge shaped head and bright eye. Balanced angulation with a deep chest and strong topline which he held on the move. BOB

1st Rainesgift Royal Mint I Coedylan JW 7 year old bitch with a classic outline, nicely moulded head with a bright cheeky eye and neat ear. She is clean through the neck with a lovely layback of shoulder and return of upperarm. She has plenty of depth and spring of rib under a firm level topline which led nicely to a well muscled rear. She moved out with plenty of drive and animation. BOB

2nd Llantrussa Peer Gynt at Falahall Upstanding male in excellent condition, masculine head with dark almond shaped eye and intelligent expression and well placed ears. Strong in neck with well angulated front, slightly longer cast than my ideal but well muscled rear gave plenty of drive.

1st Morgold Maestro 11 month dog with a kind expression, good length of muzzle and plenty of brainroom. Strong neck flowed cleanly into a firm topline, balanced angulation with plenty of rib and strength of bone, broad muscled thighs gave plenty of drive. His coat is a lovely golden colour in great condition. BP RBOB

2nd Tyloulabella Avicii Very pretty 10 month bitch with dark pigmentation and a bright eye, she has a pleasing shape with good rib and angulation. On the move it was clear she was not as relaxed with the wind and noise

1st Rumwood Endless Love. Mature bitch in good condition with a beautiful outline, feminine balanced head with a gentle expression. She has plenty of rib under a strong topline with lovely bone and feet. Her animated movement was clean and true. BOB

1st Bedlam Star Struck at Llanstinan. 11 month yellow dog with a cracking head, lovely broad skull, correct eye and gentle expression. Strong neck leading into well placed shoulders, deep chest with good rib for one so young, strong level topline with a good otter tail.Well muscled hind quarters meant he moved with drive covering the whole ring with ease. BP Puppy Group 2

2nd Serengoch's The Gambler. Strong black dog with a very masculine head, he stood well over his ground with a firm outline, good bone and plenty of rib. Broad rear gave drive just not quite as together in the front today

1st Llanstinan Bernadette Mature bitch with a pretty head, good width to skull and pleasing length of muzzle. She has strong angulation throughout with a lovely spring of rib, correct bone and feet and lovely width of thigh. She was balanced on the move but carrying a little extra weight which gave her a bit of a roll

2nd Rochevale Gypsy at Sheenaron Well made yellow with a kind eye and good width of skull, I would like a touch more foreface to balance her head. Clean neck into well set shoulders and just enough upperarm, firm topline which she held well on the move.

1st Rowanhol Moon River at Sheenaron. Mature, beautiful bitch so well balanced and typy. Outstanding quality she flowed from the top of her head to the tip of her tail. Such a feminine head, of correct proportions with an intelligent bright expression. Clean and powerful neck leading to correct front assembly, plenty of width & depth to chest with good spring of rib under a strong level topline. She excelled on the move with strong reach & drive BOB Group 4

2nd Eminala Starstruck Farnfield Another lovely bitch of just the right size and build, she has a kind head with bright eye and expression. Good strength throughout her body with balanced angulations. Not in the best of coats today, strode out well with a tidy footfall. RBOB

1st Truly Mine Teddie (imp FRA) Tidy 23 month black dog with lovely angulation, he has a pleasing head with plush muzzle and good bite. He flows well through the neck and shoulder with a good amount of rib under his lustrous coat. Slightly longer cast than my ideal and was having a bit of a battle with his handler when moving but saw enough BOB

1st Tomerine La Dolca Vita Black bitch just shy of 18 months, she has a balanced head, with a good length to the foreface, low set ears to give a feminine expression. She still needs to develop in front but has good rib and rear quarters, she was carrying a little extra weight so not as free on the move.

Grad (4)

1st Alisma Satirist Dainty b/r bitch with a very pretty head, bright dark eye and lowset ear. She is very balanced with a firm topline and correct tailset. She was very easy on the move with a merry action. RBOB

2nd Tomerine Fact Or Fable Strong black dog who was nicely made throughout. He has a good length to his muzzle and a bright well shaped eye. Pleasing shoulder with a good depth of rib and broad rump. He did not manage to settle so was a little hesitant on the move which was a shame.

1st Alisma Aloonah Tidy b/r with a classic make and shape, she has the prettiest of heads with long lowset ears, clean through the neck and shoulder with well sprung rib under a firm topline. She has a lovely depth with good bone and feet, good width to her rump giving a merry positive movement BOB

2nd Hardd Haf Blodyn Oleuni Mature golden bitch with a lovely dark eye and very feminine head. She is well made but was carrying weight which did affect her outline. When she settled she moved out well but her attention was elsewhere most of the time.

1st Hunterheck Lost In A Spell Loved the head on this b/w bitch, she has a good length of muzzle and correct stop and skull. Strong in neck with a firm topline and good depth of rib. Her nicely shaped rear gave strong movement.

2nd Hunterheck Fade To Black Bigger dog with a stronger head than my ideal but he has a kind eye and lowset ear. Balanced in angulation, slightly longer cast with a well muscled rear. Not as positive on the move as 1st.

1st Trixhund This Is My Destiny Lovely, well built male of just the right size, he has a classic head with plenty of fluting and well shaped eye, long lowset ear set everything off perfectly. He has a lovely shoulder with the right amount of forechest and correct leg length. Firm topline held well on the move showing lots of power from his well muscled rear. BOB Group 3

2nd Carlyquinn Captain Ross at Mujascal JW A very different type to my winner being that bit taller and slightly rangier. He has a classic head set on lovely neck and shoulder, not quite the forechest of my winner. Well shaped rear giving plenty of propulsion on the move, put down in beautiful condition RBOB

1st Nyliram The Alibi for Trebettyn JW This 13 month boy had a bit of a devil in him today, my notes say ‘lively’ and he was certainly making his handler work. He has a well shaped head with a bright eye and well shaped ear. Good length to his neck with strong angulation and a firm topline. When he did settle he moved out with plenty of drive RBOB

1st SHCH Isfryn Spot The Difference Trebettyn VW This veteran boy is a credit to his owners he can still compete at top level. Such a classic outline, he has a well-shaped head, masculine but not coarse in any way with a bright eye. Clean neck of good length, shoulders are well laid and elbows nicely tucked in. Plenty of depth to his body and firm couplings give a correct top line. He is strong over the quarters with well-turned stifles. Well presented in lovely condition with a strong ground covering movement BOB Best Gundog Veteran Group 2

1st Rivertone Retrograde This boy was very impressive on the stand, he is of good size but so well balanced. Masculine head with just the right amount of stop and balanced planes. Strong and clean through the neck and shoulder with plenty of rib and lovely strong rear. He could have been happier on the move but was clean and true in all directions BP RBOB Puppy Group 3

1st Moon Shadow by Atria Cordis Rivertone (imp Pol) Strong masculine dog with a balanced head, presented in super condition, solidly built with good angulation front and rear, strong and firm through the body and loin, well made rear provided plenty of propulsion but just a little erratic in front today.

1st Farnfield Deja Vu from Rivertone Such a feminine, elegant bitch with the sweetest of heads, clean arched neck flowed smoothly into well set shoulders with a lovely forechest and tight elbow. She has the most beautiful shape with a firm loin and shapely well muscled rear. On the move she was graceful and powerful with a pleasing footfall. BOB

1st Rhoswendale Game Is On Again for Viszaset (imp Fin) 8 month Irish Red & White Setter who really took my eye. He has a gentle eye set in a balanced head of good proportions, clean reachy neck which flowed well into his laid back shoulder. He has a lovely front assembly and plenty of rib for one so young. He strode out beautifully with plenty of drive. Rich red islands on a pearly white background finished him off perfectly, yes his coat needs to flatten and grow but his overall quality far outweighed this minor point BAVNSC Puppy Group 1
