The Gordon Setter Club of Scotland
Breed Open Show Saturday 16th of November 2024
Many thanks to the committee of the Gordon Setter Club of Scotland for their kind invitation to judge their open show, it was a privilege and honour to judge this beautiful breed, a breed I am fortunate to have owned. Today I have some outstanding examples however there were a number of issues I had not expected, I saw incorrect mouths and the grooming of some was not the standard I would have expected at a show, unclean knotted coat was unacceptable. The hall whilst giving space for a good-sized ring proved difficult for some of the dogs to move out well as the floor was too slippery and had large drain covers which when stood upon moved and was unsettling for the dogs.
