Thanks to exhibitors for a super entry. Huge thanks to my steward who endured the bitter cold alongside me until we finally went indoors at lunchtime.
ENGLISH SETTERS
SPECIAL YEARLING (4:1abs)
1 Wynne-Evans’ DROVEBOROUGH BLUE PEARL – 15 months b with lovely balance for age. Nicely chiselled head with sweet expression, dark eyes harmonising with coat. Well angulated at both ends, good front and bone and super feet. Nicely bodied up. Moved accurately with good extension.
2 Whittington’s CULVERWELL MAGIC TOUCH – well grown male with good overall balance at 15 months. Masculine typical head, good length of neck. Not quite the angulation of 1 . Good depth of chest, correct topline. Moved soundly. RBOB

1 Bryant’s PHENSETT SPARKS WILL FLY JW – very neat feminine blue with good balance throughout. Sweet head and expression . Excellent bone front and feet. Good front and rear angulation. Shown in immaculate coat and condition. Really strode out on the move with drive and extension. BOB
2 Whittington’s JULDEANE LINE OF DUTY (AI) – upstanding orange male. Balanced overall but couldn’t match the angulation of 1. Deep chest, well ribbed up with strong topline. Moved soundly.

1 Hempstead’s VANILLA DU PECH DE LA GINESTELLE AVEC CUVANA – confident 7 months baby. Well boned with good feet, pasterns need to tighten. Correctly angulated, good depth for age, good topline. Moved with drive. BPIB
2 Adams & Lewis’ SONNETEND TAILOR MADE FOR IRISBEL – sweet head with good eye colour, preferred her head to 1. Good feet and bone, nicely angulated front and rear. Good depth of body but longer cast than 1. Moved ok
SPECIAL YEARLING (2:1abs))
1 Tye’s IRISBEL THE GREATEST SHOWMAN AT TYMORA JW- very balanced mature male, masculine head with good expression. Very good front and rear angulation, good depth of chest with well-fitting elbows. Shown in good coat and condition, and moved with drive. BOBOPEN (3;1 abs)
1 Adams & Lewis’ IRISBEL CHERISH YOU – very attractive black b, balanced and shown in good coat and condition. Kept her outline on the move. Sweet typical head, Moved stylishly. Similar in make to her son who won BOB, but had to be content with RBOB today.
2 Dotsch’s SWISS CH TITUS DO DOMAINE DES COOEURS BLANC, MULTI JCH – masculine head with good eye shape and colour. Balanced outline. Moderate reach of neck and not quite the angulation of 1. Good bone and feet. Deep mature body. Moved ok.

1 Hewitt’s BLUE JEWEL’S GARVIN (Imp CHE) – 14 months male, very exuberant but moved ok when settled. Attractive head with kind expression. Nicely angulated, and with good depth of body for age. Coat not at its best today.. RBOB
OPEN (3:2abs)
1 Latheron & Trenchard’s FYNDER REACHER ShCEx – all male, and carrying a profuse coat which made him look heavier than he was. Typical head and expression. Balanced and well made all through. Well-presented and moved soundly. BOB

PUPPY (3: 1abs)
1 Perren’s EVALUNA FOR YOUR EYES ONLY AT MISTIN – b/w 11 months, nicely grown for age with good overall balance. Feminine head with good dish face. Well angulated front and rear, good front and bone and super feet. Deep chest fitting well to elbows, good topline. Moved with drive. BPIB
2 Kennedy’s DROVEBOROUGH HELLS BELLS – l/w girl, 10 months so not as forward as 1. and more lightly built. Pretty head, straight front and good feet. Still needs to deepen in chest. Correct topline to good hindquarters. Moved with drive.
SPECIAL YEARLING (3:1abs)
1 Barham’s ALOZIA ZEPHRYNE – l/w, 17 months. Attractive head which I preferred to her litter sister’s. Overall well muscled with a nice outline. Good bone, front and feet, deep chest and good tuck-up. Correct topline. Moved with drive and style.
2 Cobden’s ALOZIA ZANTINI – very little to choose between these two. Good length of neck into well-balanced body. Deep chest, strong loin leading to good hindquarters. Moved ok
POST GRADUATE (7:2abs)
1 Brooksmith’s MILLPOINT GOLDEN PIPPIN JW – very feminine bitch with alovely outline and super balance, a series of flowing curves.. Very sweet expression, super neck to straight front with good forechest, correct bone and feet. Moved stylishly RBOB
2 Welch’s HOOKWOOD STARMAN JW – all male, good-sized dog with a deep mature body. Masculine head, good bone, front and feet. Super angulation, deep chest, correct topline. Moved stylishly.

1 Norbury’s HEARTBURY NORTHERN LIGHTS JW- I judged this girl as a youngster and my opinion hasn’t changed. Lovely overall balance. Super head, excellent forechest, good front, bone and feet. Correct front assembly with plenty of heart room. . Moved with drive and style from strong hindquarters. BOB in a quality entry.
2 Brooksmith’s NIGHTGOLD PIPKIN – not much to choose between these two. Elegant outline. Super head. Not quite the forechest of 1. Correct bone, front and feet, deep chest, well angulated at both ends. Moved soundly.

1 Covington’s DELIGHTFUL HUNTER LEGENDARY AT SILVERDUST (Cocker) – very neat and balanced b/r, 8 months. Typical head with kind expression, good front and forechest, correct angulation front and rear . Shown in good coat and condition and moved with drive – a true merry cocker. Delighted to see he went BPIS3.
2 Durrant’s GLENTURRET WET MY WHISTLE (Flatcoat) – also 8 months, lovely lines. Very typy youngster with good head and clean throat. Correct front assembly, straight front , strong hindquarters. Moved very well.

1 Taubman’s MEONSTOKE WILD THYME (ESS)- 8 months and very balanced for age. Sweet head and expression. Super bone, front and feet. Well ribbed to win this very strong class. up. Good front and rear angulation. Moved well
2 Cooper & Mullin’s GILSTONIA MAGGIE MAY (WSS)- 8 months, feminine throughout, very pretty head and expression. Well- angulated. Good bone and well ribbed up. Correct loin and tailset. Moved soundly.

1 Crittendon’s MALBECMOGS TIGER EYES (Clumber) – 7 months and very together for age. Most attractive head with good eyes, reachy neck to good front assembly, Super bone and feet, strong hindquarters. In good coat and condition. Showed happily and moved with drive.
2 Riley’s WYLLOH PADDINGTON BEAR (Golden) – 10 months and not in his best coat today. Typical soft golden expression on typy head. Well balanced for age with good depth of chest. Good front,

1 Connor’s CRIMSON GLORY AT DE MELVILLES (German LH Pointer) – very feminine with a pretty head. Correctly angulated front and rear with a firm topline and plenty of heartroom. Very pleasing outline. Moved accurately from strong hindquarters, and showed well.
2 Dymond’s CH/IR.SH.CH.QUINTANA DIAMOND DUST AT FRIARSBELLE JW, ShceX, Osw (GSP) - on first glance I thought this was my winner. All male, loads of attitude. Good head and expression, deep mature body, short strong loin and tail well set on. Lovely bend of stifle and extremely well muscled all over . Just preferred the front and forechest of 1. Moved with style and drive.
SPECIAL WORKING (16:6abs)
1 Moon’s DEANWAY PROPER CHARLIE (Sussex) - a real character, enjoying strutting his stuff. Typical masculine head, mature deep body with good angulation and plenty of bone. Lovely feet. Moved with style and drive.
2 Bowen’s CLANDRIFT BRING ME SUNSHINE JW, KCWGC (flatcoat) – good honest sort of flatcoat with no exaggerations. Typy head, correct forechest, front and feet. Deep chest. Moved with an effortless stride and showed happily
3 C. Crimson Glory at de M (German LH Pointer)
SPECIAL SHOW/WORKING (5:2abs)
1 Moon’s FOXHAMPTON FIELDS OF GOLD (Sussex) – typical masculine head, well made throughout. Super bone and feet. Showed happily with style and drive, and showed with a wagging tail.
2 Anstee’s SHEEPCOTHILL LILO (Vizsla) – attractive lean head, good outline and balance. Good bone, front and forechest. Firm topline and well bent stifles. Moved ok.
