Veteran dog - 4

1st. Barkley’s SH, CH CHERRYHEATH’S MR MISCHIEF. JW, ShCM, VW- 13 years, wearing his grey hairs with style and could still show the youngsters how to move. Typy head with clean flews. Strong neck into well laid shoulders. Correct bone, straight front, and strong hindquarters which enabled him to move with style and drive.

2nd. Woodhams’ TOBERMYN MINSTREL BOY - 12 years. Typical head, good neck and shoulders, correct angulation both ends. Lovely tight feet. Good depth of chest and mature body. Moved soundly but didn’t quite match 1’s verve on the move.

3rd. Caldwell & McDowell’s BOWDONIA ONLY THE BRAVE FOR CERYSAN

Puppy dog - 1

1st. Morphy’s CAERGRAWNT WIGHT WILLOW WITH ECHOPHY - 10 months, needing more confidence and going through the awkward stage. Sweet head and expression, straight front with good oval bone, correct angulation both ends, good topline. On the move was unsettled but sound. BPIS

Junior dog - 2

1st. Johnstone’s GLENBROWS ERASMUS FOR GILPETA – only just out of puppy, with good balance and depth for age. Most attractive head with clean jaw and neckline. Good angulation at both ends and lovely topline. Straight front. Showed well and moved with drive.

2nd. Barkley’s JACRANELLA GALAHAD OF CHERRYHEATH (AI) – 15 months and bigger all through. Masculine, typy head with a cheeky expression. Well balanced overall and maturing nicely. Strong bone and tight feet. Correct topline. Moved with style and drive,

Yearling dog - 1

1st. Caldwell & Levy’s CERYSAN LIMITED EDITION – 21 months, with an attractive outline and good balance. Typical head, straight front with the right amount of bone, good feet. Well angulated at both ends with a good depth of chest. Rather proud of his tail on the move, and I would have like a fraction more of him all over. Moved stylishly.

Novice dog - 2

1st. Johnstone’s G. ERASMUS FOR GILPETA

2nd. Levy’s CERYSAN COMMODORE – not as forward as 1, but had an attractive head and expression, clean neck, and straight front with correct bone. Moved ok but was a little proud of his tail on the move.

Graduate dog - 1

1st. C. LIMITED EDITION

Post Graduate dog - 1

1st. Batey’s GLENBROWS BEST OF FRIENDS – very attractive overall with a melting expression. Super well muscled neck of good length, correct angulation front and rear, straight front with strong bone. Moved with style and drive.

Limit dog - 3

1st. Wren’s LLON DERWEN DAR AT GWYNMARREN – fully mature male in good condition. Most pleasing head and expression. Good reach of neck into correct front assembly. Tight round feet, firm topline, and strong hindquarters. Sound accurate mover.  RBD

2nd. Wright’s TAIHANG HAWTHORN - pleasant head but preferred ears of 1. Good length of neck, correct angulation both ends. Good topline and tailset. Moved with drive.

3rd. Gough’s JULITA RUKESTER

Open Dog - 5

1st. Gaylor & Robertson’s HENIVERUCE KING OF BREWERS FOR APRILFLASH - stylish, balanced male, all in proportion. Very typy head, clean neck of good length into well laid shoulders. Correct loin and topline, and well muscled hindquarters. Beautifully presented. Showed and moved well. Best Dog, RBIS

1st. C. COMMODORE

2nd. J. RUKESTER – Well shaped head, greying now, and kind expression. Nicely constructed generally, although a little wide in front. Not in his best jacket today. Moved well.

Good Citizen Dog scheme Dog 5 - 2 abs

1st. T. HAWTHORN

2nd. Barkley’s CHERRYHEATH’S MR MOJITO – 9 years and greying, but clearly thinks he’s a youngster. Kind expression, sturdy body with excellent angulation at both ends, and retains a strong topline. Moved with style and drive.

3rd. Leach’s ISLANZA SPRINTER

Veteran Bitch – 4 A very strong class of good bitches.

1st. Waller’s ISFRYN LADY GODIVA AT FIREGLOW JW - presented a beautifully balanced outline. Sweetest head, clean neck, good angulation at both enda. Firm topline, deep chest and straight front. Shown in excellent condition and moved with drive. This was where she just pipped the dog in the final challenge. Best Bitch, BIS, BVIS

2nd. Barkley’s CHERRYHEATH’S MISS VELOCITY JW - a different type to 1 but very well made. Well angulated with a deep body and good forechest. Reachy neck leading into correct topline. Moved with style and drive.

3rd. Cooper’s ISFRYN LADY GREY OF GILSTONIA

Minor puppy Bitch 1

1st. Walton, Coffin & Patterson’s HILLPARK TWIST WITH JOY - very sweet baby, just 6 months and initially somewhat overawed but got her act together well. Sweet head and expression and good reach of neck. Enough depth for age, straight front, correct hindquarters. Moved well.

Junior Bitch 1

1st. Primmer’s AMANSHE ENCHANTED SPIRIT - 14 months with a deal of maturing still to do. Feminine head, good neck and straight front. Enough bone and depth for age. Strong hindquarters. In good condition but needed more feathering to complete the picture.

Special Yearling bitch 1

1st. Buckwell’s KILLENA ONE MOMENT IN TIME - 23 months and not confident today, but has a well balanced body and went well on the move. Pretty head and good expression, correct angulation at both ends, straight front and super feet. Good depth and topline. Shown in good coat and condition.

Novice Bitch 2

1st. Naunton’s TRENZALORE’S PRINCESS LEIA – an attractive girl with a typy head and lovely neck into well laid shoulders. Good bone, front and feet; deep body with well-fitting elbows. In good coat and condition. Moved with drive.

2nd. Walton, Coffin & Patterson’s HILLPARK CARYS GOLD – typical head but preferred head and neck of 1. Straight front with good forechest, deep body well ribbed up, strong hindquarters. Moved well.

Graduate Bitch 1

1st. T. PRINCESS LEIA

Post Graduate Bitch 1

1st. Primmer’s AMANSHE MERMAID’S TEARS –Mature feminine bitch, good neck and shoulders, straight front with good bone and feet. Good topline and strong hindquarters. Carrying a little embonpoint today but it didn’t prevent her moving with style and drive.

Limit Bitch 3

1st. Ferguson’s JULITA RAINDANCE AT TEASELWOOD – very neat and feminine with a sweet head. Good angulation at both ends, good front and feet, deep chest. In good coat. Well-muscled and moved with style and drive. RBB

2nd. Popkin’s JULITA RYVEETA JW – my notes say very similar in type to 1, which is hardly surprising. Lovely outline but just preferred head of 1. Good neck, super front and feet. Correct angulation at both ends. Shown in good coat and condition. Moved well.
