Folkestone Hythe & District Canine Society

Gundogs: I enjoyed this appointment and the sportsmanship of the exhibitors in accepting my decisions which in some cases could easily change on another day.

Nova Scotia Duck Tollers. Junior(2). 1st, Bpib, Strevens Tollisty Shincha, pretty puppy of 11 months, liked her feminine head, clean wedge shaped with kind eye. Good body proportions, well laid shoulders, short back and held topline on the move. Good double coat. Moved well showing reach and drive. 2nd Smiths Tollisty Raudr, brother of 1st and similar in body and head but easy to see he’s all boy. Holds good outline on the move, but has slightly higher tail carriage than his sister. Moved out well and in lovely bloom. 2 nice pups.

Post grad. (3,1a). 1st Strevens Tollisty you cant decline, handsome lad won this class on his overall balance, outline and movement. Liked his head and expression. Deep chested, with good rib, strong rear and loins, good double coat, moved well. 2nd Lashlys Tollisty blow your mind at Citanabel JW, sister of 1st and shares similar qualities. I just preferred the head of 1st and the rear movement today as 1st was more collected. Good depth to chest and well laid shoulders, Has good double coat. Nicely handled.

Open (2) 1st, BOB, Dorrells Tollisty moet en chandon JW, brother to previous 2, what a litter this was. Liked this chaps typical wedge head,deep chest, strong through back to well muscled loins, good outline stood and on the move, in lovely coat and condition. Moved out well. 2nd, res BOB, Strevens Sh Ch Tollelkin caife gaelach at Tollisty, worthy champion, close up to 1st but today I just preferred his overall outline and balance. Feminine head, kind eye, good neck leading to deep chest. Shown in lovely boom.Mum to the pups and passing on type.

Flat Coat Retrievers. Junior (3) 1st , Bpib, Bellamys Bochilbarley my girl, very promising puppy, so feminine throughout, loved her head and expression, body developing well for age, happy on the move holding nice outline, well handled. Lovely coat. 2nd Woodhams Kulawand Casanova, all male with good bone for age. Bit heavy in backskull for me, but has kind eye and expression, good chest and rear, not as collected on move as 1st but has bags of personality. 3rd Broadbents Gemswim I am sailing.

Post grad,(2) Good class. 1st, Res BOB Bowens Clandrift bring me sunshine JW, handsome boy, liked his head, good through body with deep chest, muscular rear with moderate stifle and hocks, covers the ground well but not as settled in BOB challenge as the open winner. 2nd Bellamys Bochilbarley goblet of fire JW, another handsome lad, just preferred overall outline of 1st today but close up to 1st, also has good head, chest and ribs, moved freely, in good coat.

Open(1) 1st and BOB, Bellamys Moontorn better half of me JW, Classy girl, holds lovely outline moving and stood, feminine head, good through body with well muscled rear. Well handled showing free movement and happy temperament.Lovely coat and condition.

Golden Retrievers. Junior (5,3a). Todds Van gogh of sunshines valley with Toddrosa imp, large chap, bit heavy in head for my taste, good through neck to well developed chest. Well off for bone, well muscled up with strength in second thigh, moved ok with good tailset. 2nd Bpib, Barnes Fizoena sky with diamonds. Pretty puppy, at the immature body stage and tended to pace on the move. Has promise. Soft eye and expression, good coat for age.

Post grad(2). 1st, BOB Jollys Marasit tinkerbell for Leititia, feminine gold girl, liked her head and kind eye, good length of neck leading to well placed shoulders, has a lovely outline, good feet, moved with power and drive, in great coat and condition. 2nd Petts Rumwood three times a lady, another quality girl, I just preferred the head of 1st, good neck and shoulders, slightly longer in body than 1st, well muscled up and strong rear. Moved well showing drive.

Open (2) 1st res BOB Barnes Redtowers fletcher at Firoenza, handsome gold lad, holds good outline, good length of neck , well laid shoulders and deep chest, good feet, well muscled rear, close up for BOB. 2nd Pounds-Longhurst Mossburn Galloping major JW, Balanced head and kind eye. I just preferred the front and rib of the 1st but he is a sound boy who holds his outline on the move. Shown in lovely coat and condition.

Pointers. Junior(4).1st Hills Kanix Sourdough with Calaquendi , Classy o/w boy, liked his head, all male, good outline showing depth of chest and tuck up with good bend of stifle. Strong second thigh and moved with drive, well handled. 2nd Wynne Evans Droveborough Frost queen pretty girl, not as confident as winner, liked her outline and balance, good ribs and depth of chest, good feet, well muscled up. 3rd Bpib, Barham Alozia Zephryne.

Post grad (6, 1a) Good class. 1st Res BOB Barhams Droveborough mocha mayhem.took my eye with her classic outline, feminine head, good neck leading to well laid shoulders, good stifles and second thighs, shown in good hard condition. 2nd Welch Drake Hazeltines Clamerkin jubilee surprise at Hookwood, good neck and forechest, also has classic outline, very close to 1st but today I slightly preferred head of 1st, also well muscled with good rear and second thigh. Moved well. 3rd K sourdough.see previous.

Open ( 5) Another good class. 1st BOB Perren Evaluna chasing rainbows with Hookwood JW, excellent outline and good body proportions, lovely head, good neck to well placed shoulders and deep chest, good bend of stifle, moved with drive. 2nd Welchs Sharnphilly Toggi with Hookwood JW, another classy girl, I slightly preferred overall size of 1st but close up. Also has good outline, deep chest and good stifles,well muscled up and moved with drive. 3rd Welch Hookwood Starman JW. Completed a trio of quality exhibits.
