Thanks to the Club for their invitation to judge and also to my 2 stewards. Unfortunately, due to large entries, the ring size was smaller than ideal for these big dogs to really show off their movement, but I made allowances.

Gordon Setters, Sadly only one turned up today, but she was a worthy winner. Open, 1st and BOB Wrigleys Kattandale black highlander. 4 year old shown in gleaming coat and condition. Liked her head, feminine and of good proportions, with dark eye. Good length of neck leading to well laid shoulders and deep chest. Strong hindquarters, with good stifles and hocks, well muscled up, Moved well in small ring.

Weimaraners. Puppy, (6) Interesting class of puppies as some at different stages of development. 1st and BP, Maskell and Rayners Brownbank Willow with Raystans, 6 months old girl who is developing nicely. Balanced head with kind expression and good ear set, moderate stop and tight lips. I liked her body proportions as felt some here today were a little short in body length, Moderate length of neck leading to well laid shoulders. Has good rear and tailset. Holds good outline stacked and moving. 2nd Buckleys Brownbank Juniper. Saw afterwards he is litter brother to 1st. Very similar to his sister but today I felt she held her topline better but it was close. He has a handsome look and is all male. Also correct body proportions and presents a picture of balance. 3rd Molls Akwamar back street girl.

Junior.(5, 2a) 1st and BOB Jefferies Rivertone Aurora over Silbermeer,14 months old girl who is maturing nicely. Balanced with good body length. Feminine head, correct dentition, kind eye, high earset, tight lips, moderately long neck. Presents a pleasing outline. Very well handled and moved the best in the small ring. Is by same sire as the 2 puppy winners. 2nd repeat entry from puppy, Brownbank willow with Raystans, 3rd Hays Longlox celestial star at Falconwood.

Open. (5,2a) 1st and Res BOB Jefferies Braithwaite kiss me kate at Silbermeer, half sister to BOB and very much like her. On the day I preferred outline and movement of BOB, as she was carrying a bit of weight on shoulders. Feminine head with clean cheeks and correct dentition, deep chest, good rear, strong second thigh, compact feet. Nicely handled. 2nd Brierly Tatze Silver Solstice, long haired girl, has nice head and eye with correct ear set, correct body length but I would prefer more depth of chest and more spring of rib. Well muscled rear with good hocks and feet.In good coat and condition. 3rd Biggs Akwamar Zorro.
