Sporting Terrier Association Of Yorkshire

Thank you to the officers and the committee for the invitation to judge and my two lovely stewards. This was my first appointment, and I had some lovely dogs to assess, I was pleased to hear that my BOB and Best Puppy was awarded RBPIS and was shortlisted for BIS.

CLASS 62 – JUNIOR: 3 (1)

1st Place – KENNY MARRIOTT & MARRIOTT’S MILLINGFORD OUT OF THE BLUE

8 month old bitch of great quality and balance and a real natural show girl. Long, clean head with lovely expression and correct scissor bite. Short back coupled to strong, well angulated hindquarters giving great drive on the move. Great tail set and carriage throughout. In the challenge this girl presented such a pleasing outline and continued to catch my eye so I was very happy to award BOB and BP. I will be eagerly watching her show career.

CLASS 63 – POST GRADUATE: 3 (3)

1st Place – MCCRAKEN’S CARISCO MYRTLE BEACH TO AMAWYN

2 year old brindle bitch of quality and such a natural in the ring. Pretty head and expression well used throughout. Plenty of chest well slung between strong forelegs. Short body with well rounded ribs and low to ground. Moved well and was alert at all times with great tail carriage. Well handled and well deserving of RBOB.

2nd Place – KENNY MARRIOTT & MARRIOTT’S MILLINGFORD BLUE THUNDER

8 month old dog of super quality and litter brother to my BOB. Nice head and expression which he used very well. So much substance to this boy at his age with great well-rounded bone and ample chest. Super hindquarters with such power and angulation. Less settled on the move and stacked than 1st but as with his sister I am looking forward to following his career in the show ring greatly.

1st Place – MCCRAKEN’S CARISCO MYRTLE BEACH TO AMAWYN

2nd Place – LOCKWOOD’S FILISITE BRASH RARE TREASURE AT LOCHGEMS (IMP)

2 year old dog with a lot to like, lovely head and expression with good angulation front and back. Short back with level topline carried well on the move. It is worth noting that when stood for his critique, this boy pulled himself up naturally using his head and sitting back into his shoulders providing a really pleasing outline, I’d like to see more of this in the ring as he matures.
