Pointers

Junior (2,1abs)

1 Oddie’s Sharnphilly Elsie Mo to Riowood

9 Month liver and white puppy who is simply stunning. Built on flowing lines with an aristocratic head, well defined stop and prominent occiput, dark eyes, fairly high set ears with slightly pointed edge. Long muscular clean neck and well laid-back shoulders, Chest yet to drop with long slightly sloping topline and slight arch over her loins with short coupling. Well-turned stifles with well let down hocks, oval arched toes, medium length of tail tapering to end which she lashed from side to side on the move. Moved out on a ground covering stride and she could not be denied ,BOB G2 and PG1. A real cert for future success,

Post Grad (2,1 abs)

1 Blake’s Vadkartya’s Snipe

 18 month b/w bitch with good head planes and prominent stop, good depth of flew, her neck flows down onto her shoulders, well sprung ribs and strong well boned forelegs, well-turned stifles , not as positive on the move as the puppy.

Open (2,1 abs)

1 Blake’s Vadkartya’s Pipit

Litter sister to the Post Grad and preferred this bitch who has a better lay of shoulder good depth of chest and straight forelegs with well-knit oval feet. Short couples and moderate angulation, moved out freely.

Junior (9,4 abs)

1 Dolan’s Snowgate Shine On

14-month compact dog with well-developed skull and good stop, Good chiselling beneath dark eyes. Long lobular ears set level with top of eyes, moderate length of neck and gentle sloping topline, deep chest with well sprung ribs ,, good bend of stifle with low set hocks and cat like feet , low tail set , moved out well.

2 Eisen’s Crankwoods Quick Step

8 Month black puppy who was giving away a lot of maturity to 1. Smart baby who has a lot going for him with a moderate length of neck and gentle sloping topline , well rounded hindquarters with a good bend of stifle. Flat silky coat with feathering starting to come. Moved Ok. BP

Golden bitch of good breeding, feminine head with low set ears with good feathering. Strong neck and well laid shoulders. straight slightly sloping topline and short coupled with straight forelegs. Well barrelled ribs Good hind angulation with low set hocks, nice cat like feet , Went around the ring with typical merry cocker movement to take BOB

3 yr old blue roan with a lovely head, deep stop and well feathered lobular ears, moderate neck with sloping long shoulders and straight forelegs Wide croup and tail carried level on the move

Golden boy with nice head planes and well developed skull and good stop, bright eyes, long silky lobular ears, Well boned forelegs and compact body with a deep chest and well sprung ribs. Short loin and topline straight with slight slope towards rump. Moved on a steady merry gait.

  2 Tomlinson’s Milalder Jumping Jack Flash

Blue roan boy with refined head and ears set level with eyes. Short neck giving not quite the lay of shoulder as 1, Straight forelegs with good feathering, well sprung ribs and moderate hind angulation. Nice catlike feet.

1 Lewis’s Eirlandis Strange Magic Von Trannon

15-month dog with equal length of skull and muzzle, well defined stop and good chiselling under eyes. Correct Ivy leafed ears long neck and well sloped shoulders. Brisket is staring to drop. Straight forelegs and round catlike feet, Well let down hocks and firm rump with low set tail. Sufficient feathering for his age. Moved out smoothly and with drive to take this class and BOB

2 Ritchie’s Slapestones Finsch

9 month old who was giving away a lot in maturity, very feminine with good head planes. Good topline and straight legs with tight feet BP

1 Ritchie’s SH CH Canescent Blueberry at Slapestones JW ( imp usa)

Worthy show champion with a slightly domed skull and dark eyes, lovely ivy shaped ears. Well sprung ribs and slightly arched loin, deep second thigh and well let down hocks, good hind angulation, was not moving as well the junior winner today as she needs a bigger ring to show her true movement.

1 Warburton’s Owlspoint Lord of Trouble at Heberhouse JW

lovely chestnut and white boy who’ s typical for the Bracco. Well balanced with good muscling on his quarters, deep chest. long angular head with clean cheeks and good depth of muzzle. Well pronounced occiput and fairly large oval eyes. Ears were level with eyes falling into a distinct fold. Strong powerful neck with good lay of shoulder. Strong oval boned forelegs and deep chest and well sprung ribs. Slight slope towards centre of back rising to muscular broad muscular croup. Long thighs with good bend of stifle Moved out with drive to cover plenty of ground to take BOB

Litter brother to my BOB, Not quite the substance of him but still has a lot of his virtues.

2yr old chestnut bitch with a good head planes, pronounced occuput and stop and lean cheeks, strong neck and well-muscled shoulders. Correct topline and tail set on continuation of her croup. Did not move as well as her kennelmate.

16-month bitch with a lovely temperament, clean cut skull which is slightly rounded, flat cheeks and a moderate stop, almond shaped eyes and triangular dropped ears. Medium length neck and well laid shoulders. Level topline, short back and a moderate tuck up, well bent stifles, good double coat but feathering not yet developed.

2 Glare’s Arthundur Queen of Thorn’s

Feminine bitch with blaze on muzzle. Broad slightly rounded skull. Straight legs with round tight feet and 4 white socks. well-made quarters and correct tail set. One to watch for the future Best Puppy.

3 yr old bitch with clean cut skull moderate stop, medium sized ears and ka moderate clean cut neck straight front with slightly sloping pasterns, round tight feet an deep chest , short back , loved her correct tail set with which had a whitetip. Close up to BOB

2 Brand’s Coedhelyg Jingle All The Way

4 yr old dog with clean head planes and moderate stop. Deep chest and straight forelegs. Not quite the topline of 1

Champion dog who deserves his title. Well balanced head and body. Wedge shaped head with clean lines, strong neck and well laid shoulders, tight elbows, deep chest and straight forelegs, tight feet with well-padded toes. Strong loin and well bent stifles, tail set off croup with good feathering. Springy gait with good reach and driving rear end. Could not be denied BOB

Promising boy of noble appearance with a refined lean skull with lovely chiselling beneath his dark eyes, moderate stop and moderately long low set ears. Well laid shoulders and moderately sprung ribs. strong loin and moderate bend of stifle, moved out on a long smooth stride

2 Jones’ Sonnetand You Belong With Me at Fenneybeck

Feminine bitch which I judged recently and she is developing well, would still like to see more feathering which I’m sure will come, she is of sound construction and will be better than her kennelmate when mature

I last judged this bitch in October and gave her best bitch then. She has not changed my mind about her and was pleased to hear that she has won 2 CCs since I judged her. I’m sure that 3rd CC will not be far away. BOB

Veteran bitch who I have always liked, and she can still hold her own in good company. My critique from October still applies.

Liver and white dog with a medium length skull which is slightly rounded. Muzzle is in proportion to skull, he has almond shaped eyes giving a kind expression, long lobular ears strong neck with no throatiness Straight well boned forelegs , tight elbows, chest needs to deepen, well let down hocksand tight feet . one to watch for the future

2 James’ Sonne Chipmunk Child (GSP)

11-month Liver and white GSP, with a kind expression, clean cut skull. straight forelegs, good hind angulation. Needs a lot of maturing before he reaches the finished article.

14-Month-old Clumber spaniel with good substance, large head with a good occiput, square muzzle and correct dentition. Large vine leaf shaped ears, moderately long back and deep chest with well sprung ribs, low hocks . silky straight coat with good feathering

1 Merry’s Gleadsbury It is Destiny for Anacapa (English Springer Spaniel)

 2 yr old liver and white boy, loved his overall construction. Masculine head with a slightly rounded skull. Ears long and lobular, medium strong neck and well laid shoulders, broad hips and correct tail set. Well boned straight forelegs and strong body. Deep well-developed chest and muscular loins, Well let down hocks and tight feet. Typical English Springer movement with forelegs swinging from the shoulder and driving from the hocks. Best AVNSC

2 Dronsfield’s Albert Neptune (Clumber Spaniel)

2 yr old clumber Spaniel of good substance, strong straight forelegs and nice round feet. Well-developed chest and spring of rib. Unlucky to meet 1

 Beautiful Black and white American Cocker who is a worthy champion. Well-developed round skull with a clearly defined stop. Strong median line between eyebrows with round eyes. Wells set lobular silky ears, deep muzzle and well laid shoulders coming off a clean-cut neck. Stright forelegs with short pasterns. Well sprung ribs and nice short body, compact feet. Floated around the ring with a smooth stride. Unlucky to meet the PG winner for BNSC

8 yr old L/w ESS bitch who certainly does not look her age Good topline and good lay of shoulder. Short backed and well angulated, Enjoying her day out.
