NORTH DEVON AGRICULTURAL SHOW 7/8/24

Thank you to all exhibitors, the presentation and quality of the exhibits was first class and many places could change on another day

ENGLISH SETTER Open (3,2a)

1 & BOB. Osman's Bournehouse Sirocco over Marissolo, well balanced head, arched neck ,good front, well off for bone, in good coat, nice rear angles, moved out well, one for the future.

GORDON SETTER Open (1)

1 & BOB. Henderson's When I Was Your Man Black Lofty Shcex (imp Pol) real male head without coarseness, strong clean neck into good shoulder, filled body and strong hindquarters leading to effortless movement, shown in good coat

IRISH SETTER Junior (4,2a)

1 Macdonald's Sheldonite It Takes Two Baby. 15mth d trying his best not to show, pleasing head, straight front, enough bone, body coming on nicely, needs to strengthen behind,moved steadily

2 & BP Full's Henaleas Go West at Teignestuary 9mths pleasant head coming on nicely, deep body, nice angles front and rear has plenty of time to fill and strengthen.

IRISH SETTER Grad (4,2a)

1 Pike & Henderson's Redclyst The Celt excels in head, good shoulder into deep body, nice bend of stifle, moves out with purpose keeping topline in good coat

2 Pike's Redclyst Sibelius. similar to 1, good head , well laid shoulder and front angles, not as mature as winner, but moves out well, and could change places on another day

IRISH SETTER Open (4,1a) 3 Beautiful dogs

1 & BOB Pike's Redclyst Boris. scores in head with soft expression, strong body, deep chest, well angulated front and rear, which leads to excellent drive on the move, his effortless movement gained him the breed and later the veteran class, pleased to see he was later awarded BVIS

2 & RBOB Macdonald's Redclyst Maximus, litter brother to winner and same remarks apply, he has all the same attributes, just losing out today on the reach and drive a close decision

H.VIZSLA Grad (3,1a)

1 &BP Challis' Vizslanya Domenkos. both rather unsettled, good head with well set ears, muscular neck, level topline, well set tail, body maturing nicely, straight front and strong quarters, better on the move than 2

2 Parker & Gist's Glenbrows Rouge. pretty head, body just right for age, lovely lines deep chest, pleasing on the move

H. VIZSLA Open (2)

1 & BOB Challis' Vizslanya Csibe JW, elegant head, nice eye, well muscled neck into well laid shoulder, clean front, deep chest and good rib, matching rear angles, moves out with effortless drive

2 & RBOB Parker & Gist's Glenbrows Calamity JW, another nice b. pretty head, well made front with nice angles, good body with spring of rib, level topline, moved out well if a little unsettled to start with.

IT. SPINONE Open (3,1a)

1 & BOB Kruglow's Amberellie Rosanna. correct expression and head, well laid shoulder, in good coat, body strong with correct topline, well off for bone, moves out with purpose.

2 & RBOB Mortimer's Scodinzolare Photoulla. lighter allround, pretty head, moderate bone, straight front, body OK, not the rear or drive of winner.

NSDTR Open (4,2a)

1 & BOB Palfrey's Eusanit Wild Atlantic Way, 2 lovely dogs with similar remarks for both, clean heads with typical expressions, strong muscular necks of medium length, deep chests, correct toplines and tail set,matching front and rear angles, today it came down to movementwith the first having more drive

2 & RBOB Ward's Melanitta Palmata JW

GOLDEN RET. Junior (1)

1 Hewitson's Seruilia Summer Dream. pretty b. very unsettled, loved her head and outline, excels in front, stands on good feet, lovely rear angles, well made body, moved well when settled with a runner

GOLDEN RET PGrad (1)

1 & BOB Coad's Tinklersroc Bon Bon. masculine head and good eye, well off for bone, good depth of chest and rib, strong couplings, drives round the ring with purpose, best of coats well handled

GOLDEN RET Open (4,1a)

1 Tinklersroc Bon Bon

2 & RBOB Lewis' Fairwinds In Space Man JW,very different to 1 but still has lots to like, well coated male shown in good condition, a fraction longer in the body, has good angulationand moves out well, preferrred the head of winner

3 Hewitson's Seruilia Shining Star JW

FLAT COAT RET Open (1)

1 & BOB Lewis' Llantrussa Tea For Two at Fairwinds. typical head, good bone, correct angles , moves cleanly, coming back from maternal duties so not in her best frock.

LABRADOR RET Puppy (1)

1 & BP Newstead's Champles Master Wizard, nice headed p. strong neck, well developed body, stands on good legs and feet, moves steadily, carrying too much weight today.

LABRADOR RET PGrad (3)

1 & RBOB Hosking's Corishwater Mounts Bay. nice head with plenty to like. good front, solid body, well off for bone, neat feet, moves out well with drive, a little soft in topline

2 Newstead's Champles Golden Syrup another nice headed b. strongly made throughout, nice angles front and rear, would like to see alittle more on the move

3 Cork's Wiremoor Ems Gus

LABRADOR RET Open (3)

1 & BOB Hosking's Cornishwater Springtide. pretty head, classic b, just the right amount of rib and chest, well put together into the couplings, best mover in the breed today

2 Jeffery's Lembas Swings Both Ways at Mibridge. 11yrs, enjoying his day out, good bone and feet, struggled on the uneven ground

3 Wiremoor Ems Gus

AM. COCKER Open (1)

1 & BOB Sheppard's Sh Ch Nasailleen On A Mission at Shadowview, best of heads, good reach of neck into sloping shoulder, straight front, deep body, short back and strong quarters, moves out with drive keeping correct topline, shown in the best of coats, could not ignore him in the group

COCKER Grad (4,1a)

1 & BOB Whiting's Annilann Miss Scary Poppins. nice head with good expression, well proportioned body, presenting a correct outline, of good size, strong rear so very good on the move

2 Newstead's Alisma Annabelle, pretty b, nicely filled out body, good legs and feet, does'nt make the most of herself in the stack, neat and tidy on the move

3 Mead's Florenzahill Mustang Sally

COCKER Open D (3,1a)

1 Whiting's Annilann Mister Allsorts JW, small cobby dog in appearance, masculine head, clean neck and front, not as positive on the move as the bitches

2 Sewell & Hunt's Kerriglow Dream Again for Quattrozampe, bigger d allround, strongly made throughout, not the angles of the winner, a little longer in rib and couplings, Ok on move

COCKER Open B (3,2a)

1 & RBOB Ray & Challands' Annilann Miss Merry Berry. typical pretty head, clean neck and good lay of shoulder, well made through the body, good rib,neat feet good movement, not quite as flowing in the challenge

FIELD SP Grad (3,1a)

1 Harding's Kingsmist Remember Me JW . 2 very typical fields with plenty to like, not moving out as well as their construction says they should, correct heads, good bone, matching angles front and rear, shown in good condition and coat, the d was just more settled on the move

1 & BOB Harding's Kingsmist The Black Knight. lovely head with good shape, dark eye giving nice expression, well off for bone, straight front, filled body, deep chest, correct topline and tail set, moves with drive

2 & RBOB Willcock's Ustorpabyns Fields First Time to Dynarkaraky (imp Swe), nice head with kind eye, still needs to fill in body, well angulated rear, moves steadily, tends to lose topline when standing

3 Porter, Russell & Palm's Bogdogs Brynnyth at Winsbrook

POINTER Grad (2)

1 & RBOB Osman's Cattistock Cosmos with Marissolo. pleasing head, cresty neck into straight front, well filled body, matching angles front and rear, correct topline, moves steadily with drive

2 Tregaskis' Pencaire Sandpiper with Moenfair, pretty b. good through the neck and body, straight legs and strong rear, moved well, but wasn't settled today

POINTER Open (2)

1 & BOB Tregaskis' Moenfair Sanguineum Luna Jw. excellent head, eye full of expression, strong neck into well laid shoulder, good bone, well sprung rib, well muscled rear, moves with style and drive

2 Osman's Fleurfield Firethorn at Marissolo Shcex.lovely head, straight front and deep body, plenty of width in the quarters, moves well

WSS Junior (2) & Grad (2)

1 Mcilwaine & Reynolds' Ferndel Rebecca for Benoveor, well chiseled head with dark eye, nice lay of shoulder, straight front, body coming nicely, short loin and well angled rear covered the ground well

2 Wallington's Ferndel Renzo at Rovinjdal. litter brother to1 .masculine head, well made front and rear, body filling and deepening, good feet very happy on the move, a little wayward

WSS Open (4,2a)

1 & BOB Morgan's Benoveor Endless Love. lovely headed b. with melting expression, so well made throughout, good spring of rib, deep chest, well muscled, in good coat she flowed round the ring, a cedit to her owner.

2 & RBOB Reynolds, Mcilwaine & Reynolds' Benoveor Can't Buy Me Love, unlucky to meet 1 I have done her well before and have not changed my mind, she has a good head strong neck, well made body correct front and rear angulation, moves very well

AVNSC Open (1)

1 & BNSC Stirk's Sh Ch Stanegate Hey It's Bianca JW (IWS) best of heads and expressions, well made body with plenty of depth, excellent spring of rib, strong throughout, moves with reach and drive, in good coat enjoying every minute.

GUNDOG VET (11,3a)

1 & BVIG Redclyst Boris (Irish setter BOB)

2 Challis' Highforce Future Legend for Vizslanya JW Shcex VW. quality dog, good head shape, dark eye, strong neck , balanced allthrough, good angles, allowing smooth movement, covering plenty of ground.
