SPECIAL YEARLING
1ST MICKLEVIEW SILENT STORM. BOB.
A smart youngster of 16 months with a lovely head piece. Head is narrow, expressive eyes with good fill underneath all giving a feminine expression. Ears well set and shaped. Long in neck into well set sloping shoulders. Stands on good straight legs and feet, good depth of chest for her age, well made in body with defined arch. Moderate hindquarters, enough turn of stifle and hocks well let down. Coat in good condition, I liked her typical action on the move. My BOB later Group 4 in excellent company.
2ND TERRABLUE SPIRIT. RBOB.
This one was giving a lot away to the winner today, just out or puppy and not as together. Good overall type, head pleasing of good shape and proportions. Good in neck, shoulders OK, needs to tighten in elbow a little. Developing well in body, moderately angulated quarters. Did enough on the move, just needs to find her feet a little to complete the picture.
NORFOLK TERRIER

1ST WATERCROFT TOFFEE NOSE. BP.
9-month-old puppy with lots to like about her. Presented with a good balanced outline. Headpiece is well developed for her age and should finish well. She has a good front assembly with well laid-back shoulders, firm in body and short coupled. Quarters well developed for her age. Excellent coat texture. Typical action on the move if a little puppyish. My Best Puppy and later Puppy Group 3.

Sweet little lady with good breed type. Her head piece is pleasing with a feminine expression. Neck into shoulders good, well made in body with a good topline. Needs to fill her frame. Quarters well developed. Needs to find her feet on the move to complete the picture.

He has a super head piece on him with good overall shape. Clean in neck into well set shoulders, stands on good straight legs. Ribs well sprung, a shade long in loin, held his level topline well. Well-muscled hindquarters with a good bend of stifle. Put down in excellent jacket. Move very well with a typical action to take Best of Breed.
2ND NORDALSET BRIGHTER SKIES
Super attitude on her, she has a good head piece feminine in expression. She has a decent lay back of shoulder and stands on good legs. Short in back, just a little heavy over the shoulder. Coat ok. Moved out well, just didn’t hold her shape on the run round.

14 months and of good size and shape, head well shaped, good neck into shoulders. Stands on good straight legs. Well made in body with well sprung ribs and short back. Held his topline throughout. Decent quarters on him. In good hard condition. Decent front action on him, a shade untidy behind. Thought he would be my winner today but in the challenge, he just gave in showing, so had to be content with Reserve Best of Breed.
2ND NORDALSET WARM AND FUZZY
A seven-year-old bitch who was enjoying her day out. Good type about her, headpiece is feminine with good furnishings, good through the neck into well set shoulders, would like her a shade tighter in front. Body of good proportions and well-made quarters. Not as fluid as the winner on the move today and a shade close behind.

Smart youngster with good overall shape and size. Head well made of good proportions, width of back skull and good shape to her muzzle. Strong through the neck, decent lay back of shoulder and return of upper arm. Compact in body, good through ribs for her age. Decent quarters on her. Needs to settle on the move to complete the picture but she will do that as she matures.
2ND TRUTILLIAN ULYSSES
9 months and today not in the best of coats, good overall type about her. Head is developing well, ears well set, needs to fill in foreface a little. Decent angles front and rear. Did enough on the move for me to see a typical action but was struggling with the longer grass so not quite as settled as the winner.

Nine months old very smart youngster with a lot to like about him, looks a picture on the stack. Presented with a super shape and outline. Head masculine with a typical expression and well proportioned. Good in neck, shoulders well laid back, stands on good legs. Well made in body with ribs correct for age. Quarters well developed, stifles well bent. Took a while to get into his stride but once he did, he had a good action. Reserve Best of Breed and Best Puppy.

Smart red dog, 3 years old, mature and presented as the finished article. Super shape on him on the stack. I liked his headpiece, masculine expression, good through the muzzle and with a good eye and well-set ears. Strong in neck into well set shoulders, stands on good straight legs. Compact body with ribs well sprung. Quarters well developed with good muscle; stifles well turned. Coat in good condition. Moved out well to take the class and Best of Breed.
2ND WINFLASH LOVE TO QUESTION.
Young red bitch, 15 months and giving a lot away in maturity to the winner today. Head piece is developing nicely, with good finish. Neck is good and decent shoulder placements, needs to tighten in elbow a little. Good through the body, slightly longer in loin, decent rear quarters. Needs to settle on the move to complete the picture.

Smart puppy with a super playful attitude, which was good to see. His head is pleasing, with a good dark eye, well set prick ears and good through the muzzle. Good neck into well set shoulders, stands on good legs and feet, well made in body, just starting to fill out, good short loin. Quarters are well angulated, tail set on correctly. Holds his shape well on the stack and on the move. In good coat and condition, of good texture. Good on the move, fluid in action.

Smart dog with a lot to like about him, he has good height to length proportions. I thought his headpiece was typical, strong in muzzle, his expression was masculine and enhanced by a good eye. Long in neck into well placed shoulders. Stands on well boned legs. Good through the body, well ribbed up. Quarters well developed with good angulation. Moved out with an even gait. In good coat and condition.

Four years old, well up for size. Overall has good balance, pleasing head with good furnishings, good through the neck, decent front assembly, would like a shade more lay back. Held her shape well on the stack with a level topline. Well made quarters, good in profile but not quite as fluid as the limit winner in profile today.

A very smart puppy, she has a super overall make and shape, excellent headpiece with a feminine expression. Long neck into well laid shoulders, stand on good legs and neat feet. Well made in body for her age, level topline and super tail set. Well developed quarters with stifles well bent. Moved and showed so well for a youngster, she has great presence and carriage. Today my BP, RBOB and later PG2 in strong competition.

A close decision between these two, the winner scoring in movement over the second today.

Smart lady who presents with a clean and balanced outline both on the stance and on the move. I liked her head piece which was well proportioned enhanced by a good eye giving a feminine expression. She has a clean neck into well laid-back shoulders, stands on good legs and feet, good depth of chest for her age. Good through the body, strong hindquarters and tail set on well. Moved out well, scoring in profile action.
2ND TYNEFOX VILLA MARIA
Another smart dog with good overall proportions, looked good on the stack but wasn’t as fluid as the winner on the move today, which cost her the class. Her head is well made of good proportions, she has a dark eye and well-set ear. Clean through the neck into well set shoulders, stands on straight legs, good through the body into well made quarters, well muscled, tail set on well.

A super boy, in tip top condition. Presented a super shape on the stack and has good balance. Masculine in head and expression with a super dark eye and good ear set. Good neck into a well assembled front. Firm topline, good depth to his chest and well ribbed up. Moved out well with a good action, plenty of drive to take BOB. I thought him a very smart young man.
2ND TYNEFOX LA VIDA LOCA
This bitch has a good overall make and shape, good headpiece, she is keen in expression with lovely dark eyes and well-placed ears. Clean in neck, well laid shoulders, bit wide in elbow. She has depth to her chest; body is short and quarters are well developed with good muscle. In hard condition. Decent action on the move but lost her shape and topline on the runaround today.

Smart dog, white with black markings. Super on the stack with a good outline. Masculine head and expression with good eye and ear set. Clean in neck in to well made front construction, well made in body, good depth to chest. Well developed hindquarters with tail set on well. Did enough on the move, could see a typical action.
2ND ZETAMAZ CRYSTAL RAINBOW
Smart bitch with a lot to like about her, another presenting a super picture on the stack, I thought she would be the winner but just wasn’t as settled on the move today and didn’t get into a fluid stride. Headpiece is feminine, enhanced by a good eye. Clean through the neck, sloping shoulders which are well laid back. Stands on good straight legs. She has good depth to chest, level back, firm in loin. Well developed quarters with a good turn of stifle.

Really nice type of bitch who looked a picture on the stack, her head is balanced, with good eye and well-set ears to give a feminine expression. Strong reach of neck, she has well made forequarters, well made in body for her age. She has super quarters. Didn’t like the roughness of the grass ring today and just didn’t get into a decent stride on the move which cost her top honours.

Two-year-old bitch of good colour, she has a pleasing head, enhanced by a good eye and well-set ears. Good front assembly on her, stands on well boned legs, good through the body and well-made quarters. Moved with drive.

This bitch has a super outline to her, well up for size, she has a balanced head and feminine expression. Good reach of neck into a well assembled front. Stands on well boned legs. She has depth to chest and well-made quarters, coat in beautiful condition, she moved with drive and had a great side gait.

A very exciting youngster, she has that attitude that says looks at me. I like her head, feminine in expression with dark eyes and well set on ears. Clean in neck into well-set shoulders, well made front assembly. Stands on straight legs and good feet. Well made in body, ribs springing nicely for her age. Well made quarters, well bent stifles. Moved out very well. I thought she had real quality about her, will follow her career with interest. RBOB.

Super dog from any angle, full of type and he never put a foot wrong. Super head piece on him, well proportioned, good strength to his jaw, ears well set and good dark eyes to give a masculine expression. Clean in neck into well set shoulders, good return of upper arm and stands on good legs and feet. Good through the body, ribs well sprung. Well developed quarters, stifles well bent. In super coat and condition and presented in excellent condition, was easy to see he had quality strapped through him. Today BOB and later Group 2.

This young mustard lady was just six months and very much a baby but she took it all in her stride. Good overall shape and size, head is pleasing with a feminine expression, a lovely eye, good pigment. Well made in body, good proportions, hindquarters developing well. Tail well set. Well coated for her age. Needs to find her feet on the move which she will do as she matures.

A lot to like about this lady, super shape on the stack. Lovely feminine head and expression, enhanced by a super eye. Moved out well with a good action. In lovely coat and condition. Pleased to award her BOB and later G4 in strong competition.

Held her topline well. Strong quarters and tail set on well. In good coat.

Smart dog in excellent condition, I liked his overall size, make and shape. He is a really great showman and scored on the move. I like his head piece which I thought was typical. Good front and rear angulation, topline level. Coat well presented and of good texture, stands on good straight legs and compact, well padded feet.

I liked this 9-month-old blue and tan puppy. Good head piece on him at this age, good shape with a dark eye giving a keen expression. Well made in body, stands on straight legs. Narrow through the body, ribs well back. Firm topline and well set on tail. In harsh coat. He moved out positively to take the class.

Another lovely puppy with a lot to like about her. I liked her headpiece, well-proportioned giving a feminine expression enhanced by lovely dark eyes. Muscular neck in to well laid shoulders, stands on well boned legs and tight feet. Good through the body with well sprung ribs. When she settled, she moved well with a good action.

Another appealing youngster, good head piece, breadth to skull with a strong muzzle, pleasing feminine expression with a good eye. Moderate neck into well laid shoulders. Good through body, ribs carried well back, strong loin. Moved with a good action to take the class.
2nd Pipruda Peppermint Patty At Beckholm. Border.
I liked this lady and thought she would take the class but just wasn’t moving with any fluidity in front action and that cost her the class. Looked cracking on the stack, super head piece with correct muzzle and stop. Good front stands on straight legs, good through the body, easy to span, correct dept of chest. Such a shame she wasn’t moving well today.

1st Fevstone Polar Ajax at Saxheath. Border.
Smart blue and tan boy of good size and proportions. I like his head piece, which is well shape, good eye and a masculine expression. Super front on him, shown in harsh coat. Scored in movement with a sound typical action.
2nd Borderrush Cadbury. Border.
A well-proportioned blue and tan chap, he is heavier set than the winner. He has a clean outline, good typical head, good length of neck, would like him higher in elbow. Level top line and well set on tail. Had good drive, just not as fluid as the winner as he came toward me.

TERRIER GROUP
What a top-class terrier group, some really good dogs here today and it was a privilege to judge. Winning Group 1 was CH LIATCH MADAME POMMERY AT WILHOLME JW ShCEx OSW. Border. This lady just stood out, never put a foot wrong either on the stack or on the move, she made sure I could not ignore her. Delighted to award her the group and later, I note, she was awarded BIS by Lee Cox – congratulations. For Group 2 I selected CH ZIPPOR SLEEPY SAPPHIRESON AT LETARA. Sealyham. Another out of the top drawer and you just feel the quality, not quite as fluid as the winner on the move on the bumpy ground but I could not ignore him. For Group 3 I selected CH DANCHESTER'S CAN YOU HEAR ME ROAR FOR BONNYBECK (IMP FIN). Dandie Dinmont, another who had quality stamped through her and not surprised to see she carries a title. For Group 4 I chose the young bitch MICKLEVIEW SILENT STORM. Bedlington who really put in an excellent performance to take this spot.
TERRIER PUPPY GROUP
Another super group with some exciting youngsters, my Group 1 was BRUMBERHILL BIT O’ BLARNEY. Border, who had a real touch of class about him. For Group 2 I chose the super Smooth Fox Terrier BOROVALE JASMIN. In Group 3 was the Norfolk WATERCROFT TOFFEE NOSED and for Group 4 I selected MAGELLASON TIPSY TILLY. Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

THE JUNIOR WARRANT COMPETITION QUALIFYING HEAT
It was a privilege to judge this heat of the JW Finals, there was some super dogs for me to go over and it was a pleasure. I was really splitting hairs over those in the short list, and I ended up with 5 super dogs who I am sure will have a bright future ahead of them.
