Midland Dachshund Open Show 07/12/2024 I would just like to say a big thank you to the committee for the invitation to judge this lovely show, I thoroughly enjoyed my day and the hospitality shown to me was second to none. Also, to the exhibitors who braved the extreme weather to allow me to go over their dogs and make the show such a lovely environment. Miniature Wire Haired Puppy Dog (2) 1st - Sieminski's Dallandor Burdock Masculine head, with nice dark almond eye, good neck & front angulation, level topline, moved well around the ring. 2nd - Price's Collidach Thomas Tank another nice puppy, not as settled as one on the move, masculine head, good spring of rib, level topline on the move, in excellent condition. Junior Dog (1) 1st - Price's Collidach Thomas Tank Post Graduate Dog (2,1) 1st - Jame's Jamesfair One Moment in Tyme Pleasing male with a nice dark eye and shape, good front angulation with spring of rib and length of loin, moved well both coming and going. Open Dog (3,1) 1st Dance's Ch Emem Solar Power JW I have had the pleasure before of judging this dog, a well present dog of nice size and type. Masculine head, good front and rear angulation, level topline on the move and stacked. Pleased to award him BD & BOB. 2nd Corominas’ CH Almarxils Diego for Ruichango JW A difficult decision as I was lucky enough to go over 2 nice dogs in this class, red dog masculine head, good neck leading into a well put together front and spring of rib, excellent topline and a nice all-round shape and size RBD. Special Beginner Dog or Bitch (3) 1st - Sieminski's Dallandor Burdock Conical head, almond shaped and nice dark eye. Good forechest, well-muscled with good hindquarters, moved well around the ring. 2nd - Sieminski's Dajean Surely a Vision Red bitch, well presented, feminine head, good front angulation, level topline. Moved well just preferred that of 1 on the day. 3rd - Jaskolska's Dachshington Cassiopeia Baby Puppy Dog or Bitch (2) 1st - Kirkwood-Emery's Helydon Xtra Xspecial. Clearly enjoyed his day out, well-presented and one to keep an eye on in the future, masculine head with good front and rear angulation, good spring of rib, level topline. 2nd - Kirkwood-Emery's Helydon Xeptional Xaya. Not as well behaved as 1 and gave her young handler a real test, which he did exceptionally well with. Feminine bitch, with a nice dark eye, good ear set and front and rear angulation overall a promising bitch puppy when she settles. Puppy Bitch (4) 1st - Dance's Emem Joyful Sunshine JW A promising bitch puppy, who had real attitude moving around the ring, feminine head, well-constructed front with nice feet, good forechest, clearly enjoys showing BPIB. 2nd - Hutching's Collidach Delta Storm Another nice bitch puppy, well presented with good front and rear angulation, moved well around the ring both coming and going, holding her topline on the move a difficult decision just preferred that of 1 on the day. 3rd - Hayward's Foxearth Time Fly's Junior Bitch (4) 1st - Sieminski's Dajean Surely a Vision 2nd - Fletcher's Collidach Dusty Storm Another well-presented bitch of good size and shape, moved well both holding her topline as she moved, feminine head with a nice dark eye. 3rd - Hambling's Tythe Tic Toc around Chaseover Post Graduate Bitch (4,1) 1st - Sieminski's Dajean Surely a Vision 2nd - McDermott's Bardot's Brigitte (Imp Swe) Pleasing head, ok front and rear angulation, moved well just preferred the overall type of 1 on the day. 3rd - Jaskolska's Dachshington Cassiopeia Limit Bitch (3) 1st Kirkwood-Emery's Helydon Tartan Talula Lovely feminine head, with nice almond, dark eye. Good front with nice feet, good reach of neck leading into a level topline, a lovely mover who clearly enjoys her outings. Pleased to award her BB. 2nd - McDermott's Bardot's Brigitte (Imp Swe) 3rd - Jaskolska's Dachshington Cassiopeia Open Bitch (1) 1st Dance's Emem Hope for Sunshine JW Wild boar bitch that has a lovely feminine head and expression, well-laid-back shoulders with good forechest and spring of rib. Moved well around the ring, just needs a little more confidence and she will be one to watch. Miniature Longhaired Puppy Dog (3,1) 1st - Holtom's Rivandell Sirius Black A nice dog puppy, pleasing masculine head, good front and rear construction with good spring of rib, moved well around the ring both coming and going. 2nd - Morrin & Barbi's Zilcan Vanilla Ice for Arlatdax Another nice puppy with a pleasing head, good front angulation with nice tight elbow, good spring of rib, short loin, moved well for handler. Junior Dog (2) 1st - Holtom's Rivandell Sirius Black 2nd - May's Hanishan Firery Fox Pleasing young male who clearly enjoyed his outing, moved well coming and going with good front and rear conformation, decent spring of rib and length of loin. Post Graduate Dog (3,1) 1st - Morrin & Barbi's Code Red Again at Arlatdax JW Oversized male, masculine head with pleasing expression, ok shoulder placement, decent forechest, moved well in profile, keeping his shape and clearly enjoys showing for his young handler who got the best from the dog. 2nd - Jame's Jamesfair Wispasoftly Masculine head with pleasing expression, moved well for his handler, just preferred the overall type of 1 on the day. Limit Dog (1) 1st - Phillip's Pettigans Bring Me Sunshine Pleasing male who showed well for his handler, strong head with correct scissor bite, moved well both coming and going, overall, of good size and shape BD. Special Beginner Dog or Bitch (3,2) 1st - May's Hanishan Firery Fox Baby Puppy Dog or Bitch (5,3) 1st - May's Scrumptious Red on the Dot A very raw baby who clearly enjoyed showing off, pleasing head, moved well both coming and going, one to watch for the future. 2nd - Pavlatova's Dante Delart Dach Musketier's Another happy baby puppy who again enjoyed their outing, masculine head, with nice dark eye, reach of neck and forechest, another one to watch. Puppy Bitch (5,1) 1st - Lockett-Walter's Ralines Just Jasmine A lovely puppy that I was pleased to award BPIB and RBPIS, caught my eye as soon as she walked into the ring. Feminine head with nice dark eye, good forchest and spring of rib, correct front and rear angulation. Moved well with no exaggeration, clearly enjoys showing for her handler, one to watch for in the future. 2nd - Holtom's Rivandell Nymphadora Feminine puppy with a pleasing head and expression, good angulation, length of loin and moved well, just preferred the overall type of 1. 3rd - Dunhill's Black Velvet Deelite at Wodlandax Post Graduate Bitch (4) 1st - Holtom's Rivandell Osha A pleasing feminine bitch with a nice head and correct bite. Ok front and rear angulation moved well keeping her topline as she moved around the ring. 2nd - Dunhill's Gellijams Secret Desire Similar to that of one, pleasing head with correct bite, good ear set. Goof spring of rib and length of loin, just preferred that of 1 on the day. 3rd - May's Custard and Jelly Limit Bitch - (3,2) 1st - Walter's Ralines Proud Mary. Another lovely bitch who instantly caught my eye so much, so I was pleased to award her BB, BOB & BIS. A lovely feminine head with correct bite, of good size and shape, good front and rear angulation, spring of rib and length of loin, this bitch won it on the movement alone, she was elegant as she moved with ease around the ring both true coming and going. I have no doubt that she will continue to do well, and I will be keeping a close eye on her success. Miniature Smooth Haired Puppy Dog (3,1) 1st - Jenning's Stargang Rusty Nail at Jenivon A lovely puppy dog who I was pleased to award BPIB, still a little raw however has a nice masculine head, with a nice almond shape eye. Good length of neck and front angulation, holding his topline while stacked and on the move. One to watch in the future. 2nd - Hayward's Foxearth Heza Good Boy Junior Dog (2) 1st - Corominas's Scenterbay Rafael for Ruichango This dog caught my eye as he walked into the class, of nice size and shape, please head with a good eye, good depth of chest and length of loin, excels on the move with no exaggerations. Pleased to award him BD & BOB. 2nd - Reynold's Kleinstar Moongazer Post Graduate Dog (3,1) 1st - Corominas's Scenterbay Rafael for Ruichango 2nd - Smith's Allerbach One More Time. Masculine head, dark eye, correct bite, good depth of chest, moved well both coming and going, keeping his topline while on the move. Limit Dog (2) 1st - Reynold's Kleinstar Blue Moon Pleasing dog with a conical head, dark eye, good eat set. Good length of neck and decent front construction and spring of rib. Moved well. 2nd - Stevenson & Mitchell's Rioday Dishy Master Digby at Penwooddax Masculine head, correct scissor bit, good ear set, good depth of check and spring of rib leading into good length of loin. Moved well. Open Dog (3,1) 1st - Jenning's Marvale Northern Cardinal at Jenivon Red dog who is of good overall type and balance. Pleasing head, good length of neck. Good length of ribbing carried well back, moved well with good reach and drive. 2nd - Stevenson & Mitchell's Rioday Dishy Master Digby at Penwooddax Veteran Dog or Bitch (4,2) 1st - Hutching's Stargang Hot Cross Bun for Collidach Red brindle bitch. Lovely feminine head and eye, good length of neck and excellent shoulder placement, good return of upper arm and spring of rib. Moved well with sound rear angulation BVIB. 2nd - Jenning's Duddondaxs Judge Jude for Jenivon Red dog, masculine head, balanced in front and rear angulation, moved well both coming and going, keeping his topline while on the move. Just preferred that of one on the day. Special Beginner Dog or Bitch (11,4) 1st - Downie's Marvale Kingfisher Red dog, of pleasing shape, bone and substance. Moves well both coming and going, holding his topline on the move with good reach and drive. Good depth of keel and spring of rib, pleased to award him BSBIB & BSBIS. 2nd - Reynold's Kleinstar Blue Moon B&T with a pleasing head, good reach of neck, forechest and correct front angulation. Moved well just preferred overall type of one. 3rd - Rose's Dandyjan Sunday Girl Baby Puppy Dog or Bitch (4,2) 1st - Douglas's Debbiejay Pippa Funnel, feminine head with nice dark eye, clearly enjoying her day out and experience, moved well given her young age. 2nd - Herald's Winterfield Whiskey Maude Another young female who again excelled given her age, moved well both coming and going. Puppy Bitch (5,1) 1st - Jenning's Jenivon Lady Lush feminine head, with a nice dark eye, correct bite. Goof depth of chest, spring of rib leading to a good length of loin. Moved well both coming and going, pleased to award BPIB. 2nd - Barbi's Fiery Ember Feminine head with a pleasing expression, good length of neck and front assembly, moved well coming and going, in excellent condition. 3rd - Barbi's Dragonfly Sparks Junior Bitch (6,1) 1st - Kirkwood-Emery's Marvale Rosefinch at Helydon Pretty feminine red bitch, with a nice dark eye and shape. Of good size and type overall, good front and rear angulation, good fore-chest and well ribbed back. moved well coming and going, clearly wanting to please her young handler. In excellent condition. 2nd - Herald's Winterfield Lady in Red Of good size and type, pleasing head, with correct front and rear angulation, slightly longer in the loin to one. Moved well. 3rd - Wood's Littlecopse Black Opium Post Graduate Bitch (8,1) 1st - Herald's Winterfield Lucky Star Feminine bitch of good size, well-presented conical head with a nice dark eye. Good shoulders moved well keeping topline level while on the move. 2nd - Rose's Dandyjan Sunday Girl Another nice bitch, good front angulation, with good depth of chest and spring of rib, moved well just preferred that of one on the day. 3rd - Stevenson & Mitchell's Penwooddax Lucky Star Limit Bitch (4,2) 1st - Hutchings & Price's Collidach Splish Splash Ok head, nice dark eye, good reach of neck with good front angulation and forechest. Good rear angulation, holding topline well on the move and stacked. Of a nice size and shape. 2nd - Rose's Dandyjan Sunday Girl Open Bitch (5,1) 1st - Jenning's Jenivon Miss Marple Another nice red bitch of size and type, pleased to award her BOB. Pleasing head with a nice eye. Good forechest and spring of rib, holds topline while on the move and is true both coming and going. 2nd - Beer, Williams & Moe's Gellijams Firework at Cwmdarhian Another nice bitch of good size and type, feminine head, good reach of neck with good front and rear angulation. Not as positive on the move as one. 3rd - Rose's Dandyjan Sunday Girl Smooth Haired Open Dog (2) 1st - Jenning's Marvale Manifesto at Jenivon B&T male who commands attention while on the move. Strong masculine head and dark eye. Good front angulation with good reach, muscular hindquarters which he used well on the move. Pleased to award him BD & BOB. 2nd - Chaunan's Neithund Angus at Raajput Red dog, masculine head with a dark eye and strong jaw. Good depth of chest and front angulation with good spring of rib. Junior Bitch (3,2) 1st Hinwood's Longmel After Eight Truffle B&T bitch, Pleasing head with a nice eye and correct bite. Prominent forechest, ok front and rear angulation, slightly longer in loin. Moved well hold topline. Open Bitch (2) 1st - Chaunan's Ch Adnerb Take a Chance on Me at Raajput B&T bitch in excellent condition. Feminine head with a nice dark almond eye. Good depth of chest and spring of rib, holds topline while on the move, slightly longer in loin. Moved well and clearly enjoys her day out. 2nd - Jenning's Clentry Sweet Melody Conical head with a pleasing expression. Good front and rear angulation, not a long in loin as one. Moved well both coming and going just preferred that of one on the day. Long Haired Puppy Dog (2,1) 1st - Vincent's Swansford Padraciador A pleasing puppy with a nice masculine head, good front and rear angulation, good depth of chest and length of loin, one to watch for the future. Post Graduate Dog (3,1) 1st - Vincent's Breezelyn Long Awaited by Gainscroft Red dog, ok head has good front and rear angulation, moved well both coming and going holding topline while on the move. 2nd - O'Neil's Ranglewood Finlaggan at Donnadach Of a nice size and shape, masculine head with a nice sark almond shape eye. Shoulders well laid back, good topline and rear angulation. Well-presented and in excellent condition. Limit Dog (1) 1st - Paskin's Kindeace Hit the Road Jack JW A Red dog with a masculine head, good front angulation with a good depth of chest, spring of rib and length of loin. Moved well both coming and going. Open Dog (2,1) 1st - Paskin's Kindeace Texas Ranger ShCEx BOB, another red dog overall of a bigger size and type, moved well both coming and going holding his topline while on the move, good laid back of shoulder, and length of loin, in excellent condition. Veteran Dog or Bitch (2) 1st - Paskin's Cedavoch It's Taboo at Kindeace a nice red dog of a good type and size, masculine head with a please dark almond shaped eye, correct bite, well laid back of shoulder and good rear angulation, moved well both coming and going. BVOB and pleased to award him RBVIS. 2nd - Wedge's Faulksfollie Miss Minaver at Dolans Special Beginner Dog or Bitch (1) 1st - Lacey's Abydachs Renegade Angel at Abydezi Of a good size and overall shape, goof front and rear angulation with good length of loin, moves well both in profile and coming and going. In excellent condition. Baby Puppy Dog or Bitch (4) 1st - O'Neil's Ranglewood Pheonix at Donnadach A lovely B&T baby who clearly loves to preform, moved well both coming and going and given his slender age. One to watch for the future. 2nd - Paskin's Delsaux Life Goes on at Kindeace Another baby who clearly enjoyed there day, moved well and both coming and going and in profile. 3rd - Lacey's Abydezi Shades of Glory Junior Bitch (2,1) 1st - McGavigan & Pettigrew's Pettigans Veni Vidi Vici Lovely feminine head with a nice almond shaped eye. Good length of neck with decent front angulation and depth of chest. Good length of loin keeps topline level while on the move. BB Post Graduate Bitch (5,2) 1st - Geeson's Abydachs Anything for Love. Of a nice size and overall shape, pleasing head and eye. Moved well both coming and going, holding her topline level throughout with good reach and drive. In excellent condition. 2nd -Paskin's Kindeace You Wear it Well A well put together bitch who is of a nice type, good front and rear angulation, good ground clearance and length of loin, just preferred the overall type of 1 on the day. 3rd - Lacey's Abydezi Northern Lights Limit Bitch (4,1) 1st - Wedge's Dolan Summer Time Blues Another pleasing bitch of a bigger size, feminine head with pleasing eye. Good depth of chest and length of loin, well presented, moved well. 2nd - Wedge's Danton Fire Dancer at Dolans Pleasing head, good almond shape dark eye. Ok front angulation, with good depth of chest, rear angulation better. Moved freely. 3rd - Lacey's Abydachs Renegade Angel at Abydezi Wire Haired Puppy Dog (1) 1st - Beagrie's Feldhund Moonlight Masculine head, with correct bote and good ear set. Good length of neck, depth of forechest and well laid-back shoulders and rear angulation. Holds his topline on the move, in excellent condition with a nice harsh jacket. Pleased to award him BPIB and BPIS. Junior Dog (2) 1st - Beagrie's Feldhund Moonlight 2nd - Coverley's Aventine the Poacher Another youngster with a pleasing head and expression, correct bite. Shoulders ok, slightly longer in loin to that of one, moved well coming and going. Just preferred that of one. Post Graduate Dog (2,1) 1st - Farrington's Dollydash Defender of the Faith wild-boar dog of a nice size and overall type, masculine head with a good eye and correct bite. Good depth of chest and well-laid-back shoulders. Good length of loin and rear angulation. There is a lot to like about this dog, well presented with a nice wire coat BD. Limit Dog (3) 1st - Graham's Stanegate Shot in the Dark Another wild-boar male with a masculine head, correct bite and good ear set. Goof length of neck, ok front angulation and spring of rib, good length of loin and rear angulation. Moved well both coming and going. 2nd - Russell's Collidach Russell Leeves. Pleasing head, nice length of neck and nice tight feet. Well, ribbed back holds his topline on the move. Just preferred the overall type of one. Open Dog (4,3) 1st - Hutchings & Price's Collidach Percy Cute at Samlane Wild-boar male in excellent condition, with a nice harsh coat. Masculine head with correct bite, ok front and rear angulation, slightly long in loin. Moved well both coming and going. Veteran Dog or Bitch (2,1) 1st - Hutching's Tendrow I Am the One from Collidach JW Feminine head with a nice dark almond eye, with good ear set. Good depth of chest, front and rear angulation, holds her topline while on the move and moved well with no exaggerations. Pleased to award her BVIB and BVIS. Special Beginner Dog or Bitch (5,2) 1st - Sieminski's Wyldetarn Genesis A well balanced bitch, in excellent condition with a nice harsh coat. Pleasing head with correct bite. Ok front and rear angulation, level topline both on the stack and on the move. 2nd - Buxton's Hazelglade Harriet Feminine head, good proportions overall and balanced. Nice dark eye, well ribbed back, in excellent condition with a nice harsh coat. 3rd - Buxton's Wyldetarn Ado Puppy Bitch (5,3) 1st - Beagrie's Feldhund Show the Way Wild-boar bitch, of good size. Pleasing head, correct bite and nice eye. Ok forechest, good ribbing moved well, needs to be more positive but that will come with maturity. 2nd - Buxton's Hazelglade Harriet Another pleasing bitch of good size and well balanced, in excellent condition with a nice harsh coat. Moved well with reach and drive. Junior Bitch (1) 1st - Buxton's Hazelglade Harriet Post Graduate Bitch (6,3) 1st - Moore & Downe's Romanchi Night at the Opera Pleasing head with a nice almond shape dark eye. Correct bite, good ear set, well-laid back of shoulder and good ribbing, balance keeping her topline level stacked and on the move. 2nd - Graham's Boloria Wild Spice JW Another nice bitch who was well balanced, ok front and rear angulation, moved well just preferred the overall type of one on the day. 3rd - Buxton's Wyldetarn Ado Limit Bitch (2) 1st - Hutching's Collidach Raynee Day JW A lovely bitch, very well presented and in good condition. Feminine head with a nice eye. Good length of neck, well laid back of shoulders, good ribbing. Moved well with good reach and drive. 2nd - Buxton's Wyldetarn Ado Another good example, pleasing head, ok front and rear angulation, moved well keep her topline level, just preferred that of one on the day. Open Bitch (4,1) 1st - Moore & Dean's Brontillow Canterbury Bell to Diefiur A lovely wild-boar bitch who was very well presented with a nice harsh coat. Feminine head with a lovely dark almond shape eye, correct bite. Well-laid back of should, good forechest and spring of rib and length of loin. This bitch won it on her movement, free flowing both true coming and going with no exaggeration. Pleased to award her BOB & RBIS. 2nd - Coverley's Aventine Dolcetto in excellent condition of a good size and proportion.
