1st Beck’s SACARIAS BLUE JEAN BABT AT BEKESHA – 8mth bitch of good size. Pleasing head with good ear carriage and dark eye. Neck of correct length, nice lay of shoulder, top line is held well at all times, ribcage developing well, but just needs to drop that little bit more to meet elbow, stands straight in front onto good feet. Nice croup and good tail set. Rear angles are put together well and shows strength in hock. Movement is sound in all directions. BOB & BPIB & pleased to award Puppy WG2.

1st Ward, Ward & Kershaw’s ARITAUR DYPTIQUE AT JAGELKA – 14mth bitch of good size, lovely bone and well-muscled for age. Correct head proportions, ears are carried well with almond shaped eye, lovely length of neck. Stands on correct feet. Rear angles are super with super muscle development. Front angles need to be a little more to compliment her rear angles as this is seen when moving. Top line is great, nice rib development. Moved sound.

1st Perfitt’s SAMJOE SEELIE QUEEN – 2 yr old bitch with lovely bone and substance. Head is very pleasing, skull is developed well with nicely placed ears of correct size, strong muzzle complimented with dark flews and black nose. Neck is muscular and leads onto a balanced front. Stands well in front onto compact feet. Rib cage is well developed, broad chest with nice depth. Top line is firm leading onto moderate rear angles which have good muscle development. Movement on the day was a little scrabbled due to the size of ring, she is an exuberant mover and will be more suited to large rings.

1st Perfitt’s SAMJOE FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE JW – A lovely bitch of 2 years with lovely bone and substance throughout. Head is correct with pleasing stop, good width to muzzle with dark flews and black nose, nice ear carriage with good skull. Strong top line with a nice continuation to a correct tail set, well developed rib cage with correct depth of chest and good width. Powerful rear angles with broad muscular thighs stifles are moderately bent, hocks are strong. Movement is very sound and efficient at all times. BOB & pleased to award her WG3

2nd Perfitt’s SAMJOE SHADOWHUNTER JW – A flashy male of 2 years with a very masculine appealing head, ears are set well, with pleasing eye and medium stop. Firm top line and muscular loin. Rear angles are lovely, thighs are broad and muscled well with a nice bend to stifle and strength in hocks. He uses his rear angles well as he drives off on the move where he moved sound.

1st Bailey’s MOOSE CREEK – 6mth male who has a nice outline for his age. Head is in proportion for his age, although a little more length of muzzle would enhance. Good ear set and nice eye. Stands well onto to oval feet. Rib cage is of good length, leading to correct loin and moderate tuck up. Moved sound in all directions and presented in good coat. BP & pleased to award Puppy WG4

2nd Jackson’s ALOUSTAIR’S CIRCLE OF LIFE – At nearly 11mths of age this bitch has grown a little out of proportion. Head is developed well, ear set is good as is length of muzzle, good eye. Rib cage needs to spring and then the chest will broaden, once this happens she will stand a little better in front. Rear angles are good and she was able to move away sound.

1st Freeman & Wakefield’s SIBERIADRIFT HOCUS POCUS – at just 12 mths this bitch is well put together which is easy to see when she moves. Whilst a little strong she has a pleasing feminine head with good ear size and set, length of muzzle is correct and straight and complimented with a black nose. Neck is strong and round, rib cage is developing well, correct elbow placement, stands on good feet. Loin is toned, lovely croup, good rear angles where conditioning can be seen and strong hocks. Moved so well in all directions and pushed for BOB

1st Johnson’s ATLANTICBREEZE BAILEY BY LUPINEMOON JW (AI) (IKC) – 2 year male, masculine throughout, head is super with almond shaped eyes, darkest of flews, nicely set ears compliment. Strong neck leads onto a well-constructed front, rear angles are adequately put together but would benefit from a little more angle. Firm topline always held, strong loin, movement was sound where he used all he had to give a steady gait. Presented in beautiful condition. BOB

1st Johnson’s KENTWONE SHOOTER AT LUPINEMOON – 3yr male who displays maturity, head is good, with a lovely eye shape, moderate stop, nicely placed ears used well, muzzle is finished with a black nose. Would prefer front angles to be a little bit more as this would assist when on the move and improve feet. Rib cage has good development and shape, with a nice depth of brisket, strength in loin, hindquarters are strong with good tone, and angles, hocks are strong. Tail set is good and carried well.

1st Gray’s RIZZLEBOX SMOKING HOT STUFF – Mature bitch with lovely bone and substance throughout. Head proportions are good, good width to skull, eyes are dark, muzzle is broad with a well-defined stop. Front is good with pleasing angles, she stands straight in front onto nice feet which would look better with a shorter nail, as this spoils the look. Body length is good with developed ribcage. Rear is strong with a good bend to stifle and strong hock. Moved sound and efficient in all directions.

2nd Selby’s BANTAMBOX CYNDI LAUPAW – Substantial bitch, head is pleasing with correct ear set and carriage, defined stop and strong jaw. Rear angles are pleasing with nice muscle development, front angles not quite as good, she would benefit from a better lay of shoulder. Body is developed well with a good top line and undercarriage. Super condition throughout.

3rd Beaumont’s BEAUIMRES MADDIE THE BADDIE

1st Gray’s ALOT OF HOT COMMOTION AT RIZZLEBOX – Dark brindle bitch, with a lovely profile. Head is feminine with a good width of skull, correct ear carriage, dark eye with no haw, muzzle is broad and well-padded with strong jaw. She displays strength in all areas, where muscle tone is evident. Developed rib cage with correct depth, top line is strong and pleasing undercarriage. Toned loin, with croup that has good width which continues to her powerful hindquarters. Hocks are strong. Stands on super feet. Whilst very excitable her movement is lovely. BOB and pleased to award her WG4

2nd Fox’s BRITESPARKE NORMAN MOON – Male of top size, with super bone and substance. Head is in keep with body, lovely dark eye, defined stop, nice width to muzzle and strong jaw, finished with a black nose. Top line is good, rib cage is developed. Neck is of good length and extremely muscular. Rear angles are pleasing, tail set and carriage are good. Moved sound.

1st Plett-Graff’s PINK FOR PRIMAVISTA (IMP ESP) – 2 ½ year bitch. Head is made of a flat skull, ear set is good, but ears were flying, almond shaped eye, broad muzzle finished with a black nose and large nostrils. Balanced in front and rear angles, strong top line at all times, rib cage is developed, and elbows are well let down, she stands on good feet. She wasn’t the happiest when gone over particularly in rear but accepted it. BOB

AVNSC Working – Some super dogs were present in these classes, which made judging very enjoyable, and some tough decisions were made, both group winners came from these classes.

Puppy (7, 1abs)

1st McGuinty’s BOURGEOISIE BACK TO BLACK (DDB) – 10mth male with a superb headpiece. Skull is broad and slightly rounded, pronounced stop, strong forehead, good cheek development, powerful muzzle, strength in lower jaw with a good upward curve, super teeth, correct eye, nice symmetrical wrinkles which complete the picture when alert. Powerful and well angled front, with already a good width and depth to chest, nice feet although a little down at present. Well sprung rib with body of correct length. Rear has super muscle for age, shows strength in hocks. Movement is so positive. BP & in the puppy group I was pleased to award him group 1 with no hesitation.

2nd Lowes’ CALLOWDALE DRUMMER BOY (Tibetan Mastiff) – 10mth male, super head with medium eye, skull is broad and already shows strength, broad blunt muzzle, with nice lips and flews, finished with a medium triangular ear which were set and carried well. Nice neck leading onto a well laid shoulder, good strong bones standing straight onto tight feet. Body of good length with brisket reaching elbows. At present still a little narrow in chest, whereas first place had developed in this area. Moderately angled hindquarters which already shows power, stands well from behind. A very honest dog who I will watch out for in the future.

1st Moulsdale’s COOKIE BOMBS LEO FROM THE OLD OADS TO BERGLOWE (IMP DEU) (Leonberger) – At 14 mths old this young male is developing well. I thought he had a stunning head with an arched skull, medium ears are set well and lay close to cheek with furnishings, an oval dark eye, muzzle of good length with a black nose. He is very well put together with lovely angles fore and after, stands a little narrow in front at present which is causing him to be 10 to 2, but this will improve when his ribcage and chest develops. At present he doesn’t always show what he has in stance, although he does use his angles on the move where his side gait is pleasing.

2nd Lowes’ CALLOWDALE TIBET TAKIRI (Tibetan Mastiff) – 10mth bitch who is quite mature for her age. Nice head, with a good eye, broad muzzle of correct length with a black nose. Depth of brisket is good, as is length of body. Hindquarters are developing well with a thick strong first thigh, hocks are strong for age. Finished with lovely feet. Moved sound.

3rd Wesley’s APPLE DEL FRACASSO (Mastiff)

1st Baldwin’s LINTWEED BLACK ZAMARA (RBT) – 20mths bitch who won this class on overall conformation and being slightly more mature overall. Head is of correct proportions with good skull, muzzle is of correct length, with nice width, dark eye, ear set is good, can fly her ear at times, but this can be corrected. She has a lovely front assembly and stands straight in front, a strong top line leads to a nice croup, hindquarters are well put together with a correct bend of stifle, and strong hock. Stands square when viewed in profile. Movement was sound and purposeful in all directions.

2nd Adair’s CHATEUNEWF MAKE MY DAY FOR DAREBEAR (Newfoundland) – Bitch of 20mths, who has a lovely profile. Skull is developing well, muzzle is a good length and width, liked her lip and flews would like a tighter eye, but this will improve when her head matures. Neck length is good, she stands well when viewed in all directions. Ribs are of good depth, and length of body is correct leading to a pleasing croup. Moved sound in all directions.

3rd Bell’s CLEON CANIS GIGANOTOS (Leonberger)

All three that were present in this class were champions, what a privilege to judge three super dogs.

1st Lowes’ CH WANGDAK FORREST FOR CALLOWDALE (Tibetan Mastiff) – 23mth male. What a superb dog who excels in conformation. Head is so masculine, good filling, strong muzzle which is broad and blunt, broad skull, a dark eye, lip is good with flews which fall away nicely, dark medium oval eye, ears are well set and carried close to head. Muscular neck which sits well onto a nice lay of shoulder. Firm topline with a well-developed ribcage, loins are broad and muscular. Stands straight in front with strong bone with a slight angle to pastern onto large compact feet. Powerful hindquarters, where he has a good thickness of thigh with moderate angulation and low set hocks. He drove so well on the move, looking super in all directions. Best AVNSC and I was so pleased to award him WG1.

2nd Thompson-Morgan & Morgan’s CH BELLEVILLE ANJO NEGRO (Portuguese Water Dog) – What an amazing male of 9 years of age! Credit to his owners as he does not look his age. He is such a showman, so natural in the ring. Lovely head with good proportions, ears are set well, defined stop, black nose with large nostrils. Strong neck set on a well-placed shoulder. Well sprung rib, giving a broad chest which has good depth to elbow. Hindquarters are so well angulated and with muscle tone still evident which he uses so well as his movement is so light and sound in all directions. Presented in super condition. Later he took 1st place in AV Working Veteran.

Group 1- Lowes’ CH WANGDAK FORREST FOR CALLOWDALE (Tibetan Mastiff)

Group 2 – Simpson’s APOCALYPTO FAMBA BY ROMINJAY (Rottweiler) – A mature bitch of nearly 4 years of age who has super constructions. She has a gorgeous strong yet feminine head, strong skull with correct ear which are carried well, strong muzzle, defined stop and good fill, with a lovely dark eye. Strong muscular neck leads to a well laid shoulder, with good upper arm allows her elbows to be well let down, where depth of chest meets. Stands on lovely compact feet. Top line is strong, good width and toned loin, rib cage is well developed. Her rear angles are so well conditioned, first thigh with inner and outer muscle which is lovely to see. Hocks are firm and she drives out well with power when moving where she displayed soundness and efficiency.

Group 3 – Bowler’s JAEGEROT MISS DAYDREAM (Rottweiler) – At nearly 12 mths she is a substantial bitch. Lovely head of correct proportions, ear set and carriage are correct, dark eye compliments. Strong neck of good length leads onto a well put together front, chest is broad and deep, stands straight in front onto good feet although nails need attending as they are spoiling the look. Rib cage well sprung, strong top line and pleasing undercarriage. Rear angles match nicely with her front, which enables her to move well giving a nice steady gait whilst maintaining her shape. Would prefer a better tail carriage. Presented in lovely condition.

AV Working Veteran (4, 1 abs) – A super class of three veterans, all owners want to be proud of what they are still achieving with their dogs who all looked so well for their ages.

1st Thompson-Morgan & Morgan’s CH BELLEVILLE ANJO NEGRO (Portuguese Water Dog) for critique see 2nd AVNSC Open

2nd Adair’s CH KING OF HELLULAND LOVE ACTUALLY AT DAREBEAR (IMP) JW ShCM ShCEx OSW – A stunning bitch whose head is gorgeous, broad and strong muzzle, correct ears carried well, strong skull, head is complimented by a correct eye. Neck flows well onto a good lay of shoulder. Strong top line leads to a lovely croup and strong hindquarters where her first thigh is well muscled. Body is well developed with good depth. Finished with lovely feet. Movement is very sound and supple for this 7 ½ year old.
