Nice length of neck onto a well put together front. Correct length of upper arm enables elbows to be tight to chest. Body is developed well with a nice depth of brisket, top line is strong and maintained on the move. Tail set and carriage are super. Rear angles are put together well, where muscle is evident in the upper thigh. Moved sound in all directions.

Siberian Husky

1st McArthur, Rees & McKenzie’s AMlCAL NAXXAR - 10mth eye catching male of lovely bone and size. He is very balanced with a super top line held well at all times. Head is chiseled with a medium brown almond shaped eye, dark flews, ears are strong and set well. He has strong short neck of medium length onto a well laid-back shoulder. Chest is developing well, rib cage is well sprung, elbows are close to chest. He stands straight in front onto beautiful compact feet. His hindquarters whilst still developing already show strength in first thigh, stifle is well bent and hocks are strong. 1st McArthur & McKenzie’s BLIZZARDRUN’S CHASE FOR MERSOTHIS JW - Mature male with a good head piece, nice shape, a lovely almond shaped eye, ear placement is good, complimented with dark flews. Body is developed well, with a nice spring of rib, strength in loin and moderately angled hindquarters. Would benefit from more angles in front. Elbows are tight, and stands on good feet. Moved using all he had to his advantage.

Dobermann

Post Graduate (4)

1st Downie’s KNECHT MILEENA - 22 mth bitch full of substance, excellent muscle tone throughout. Head planes are good, flat skull with slight stop, dark almond shaped eye, good fill, muzzle depth is good, personally I would like her ear carriage to be a little closer to cheek. Neck is clean and of good length and leads onto a good shoulder. Stands straight in front, chest is well developed, good depth of brisket where elbows lie close and stands on to compact feet. Top line is super, strong in loin, ribs are well sprung. Super hindquarters that are muscled, broad croup with good tail set, stifle is well bent, and complimented with strength in hock. She moves so well using everything she has. Pushed Open winner her litter brother hard today for best of breed, not much between them at all.

2nd Blackburn’s KNECHT MIRELLE – 10mth brown bitch who already has good size, absolutely love her attitude. Gorgeous head with a good skull, gentle stop and almond shaped eye, strength in muzzle and flat cheek compliment her over all shape. Neck is elegant yet strong onto a well put together front. Chest has good depth and for her age, she stands straight in front onto compact feet. Body is developing well but has a strong topline and lovely under carriage with a correct tuck up. Her hindquarters are already showing good muscle development, strength in hock is also pleasing. She was a little bit giddy with others on the move, however her movement when settled is fabulous. Also 2nd in AV Puppy where she pushed hard for 1st place.

Open (1)

1st Blackburn’s KNECHT LITTLE RICHARD JW SHCEX OSW – 22mth black & tan male who I judged as a puppy. What a male he is, he has matured so well substance is excellent. Head is not overdone in anyway, strong flat skull, flat cheek, ears are carried well and lie close to cheek, dark almond shaped eye, gentle stop and strong muzzle. Long and lean muscular neck onto a great lay of shoulder, good return of upper arm giving a super angle, fore chest is well developed, stands straight in front onto compact feet. Elbows are close to brisket. Well sprung rib, topline is strong with strength in loin. Croup has good width, great tail set and carriage. His hindquarters are muscled extremely well, with a well bent stifle, and strong hocks. He is such a true mover where all his angles work so well together. The larger ring definitely suited him. Winner of Post Graduate, his litter sister pushed him hard, but he pipped her again by taking BOB and then later in a super Working Group I was pleased to award him Group 1.

Newfoundland

Post Graduate (3, 2abs)

1st Hunter’s NEWFANGLED EYES WIDE SHUT AT HARBOURCOVE - Black bitch of 2 years of age with the loveliest of heads, she has a gorgeous eye that shows no haw, muzzle is broad with a nice depth, with clean tight lips, ears are set well. Strong neck onto a well-placed front. Good depth of brisket, nice chest development. Liked her length of body and spring of rib. Croup is broad, rear angles are good, she has well bent stifle, and broad upper thigh. I felt that she just needs a little more muscle development as her movement was a tad close when going away. Such a super nature.

Great Dane

Post Graduate (4,1abs)

1st Cooper & McGlynn’s ALLOURS BRAVE HEART – Just 12mths of age and full of substance. Good head proportions correct and in keep with his size, good eye, would prefer a little less lip. Neck is a good length, free of loose skin and is well defined. Shoulders are well sloped, he stands straight in front, onto nice feet. Body length is correct as is spring of rib and depth of chest. Strength in loin and a moulded croup, with good tail set. Powerful hindquarters compliment his overall look, where his muscle development is evident. Such a powerful mover, where his angles work so well together.

2nd McCulloch’s ALLOURS GABRIEL – Litter brother to first place, where the similarity of substance can be seen, but not as mature. His head is in proportion with good planes, good eye and strength in muzzle. He has a good front, chest depth and development are pleasing. Length of body is correct, but a little round in croup. Adequately angled hind quarters which are still developing. Moved sound.

3rd McGlynn’s – ALLOURS AMORE MIO

Open (4)

1st Young’s ROUCANDANE SUMMER BREEZE – Mature bitch with a lovely head, of nice length, good planes, skull flat with broad muzzle, good eye with nice fill, complimented with a nice lip. Lovely length of neck which leads to a pleasing front which she uses well on the move, good development in forechest, stands straight in front onto compact feet. Ribs are well sprung, would prefer her to be a shorter in back as she does have a dip in top line. Croup is pleasing and she has lovely rear angles, which work so well with her front to give effective reach and drive on the move where she displays soundness. BOB and Working Group 4.

2nd Young’s LOMONDANE DINNAE BROTHER SHCEX – Mature fawn male. Head is in keep with his size and has good eye, skull is developed but occiput is prominent. Strong neck of good length, chest has good depth, ribs are well sprung, strong top line, good croup and tail set. Front and hindquarters are balanced and allow him to move with soundness whilst maintaining his shape, strength in hock and complimented with good feet.

3rd Dunn’s ALLOURS BONITO

AVNSC

1st O’Donnell’s KALASLANE REVENGE FOR NEUKIEBEAR (IKC) SHCEX – Russian Black Terrier - 6 year old substantial bitch. Such a super girl who I have had the privilege to judge before. Her head is strong yet feminine, flat skull, dark eye, strong muzzle and black nose, ears are correct and used well, complimented with excellent furnishings. She has a great front, with a developed chest and brisket. Strong firm top line, with a well sprung rib cage. Elbows are close to chest and she stands straight in front. Loin is firm flowing onto a broad croup and excellent hind quarters where she has a nice turn of stifle. She used all her angles to move around the ring well, at one with her handler. Best AVNSC and Working Group 3 in a strong group.

2nd Dunn’s MULLACABOO ABITIBI DREAM – Great Swiss Mountain Dog – At only 13 months this young lady is still maturing, however I could not ignore her lovely construction. Head is strong yet feminine, flat skull with a gentle stop, ears are medium in size and carried well, strong muzzle. Neck of medium length which already feels strong, this leads onto an excellent front construction, well boned and standing straight with a nice angle to pastern. Rib cage is good, with a nice width to chest. Her movement is lovely to see, where she was able to use her angled hindquarters to drive well.

Mature body where it is deep, with a broad chest, top line is straight and strong, muscular in loin and onto a broad strong croup. AV Working Minor Puppy (4)

1st Carty’s BERNERVALLEY LORD OF ISLE – Bernese Mountain Dog – At just under 9mths of age this substantial male initially appeared to be very over weight BUT he wasn’t, and what fabulous bone he has. Skull is flat with slight furrow, defined stop, good length of muzzle, nice ear shape which are carried and used correctly, dark eye just showing a little haw at present but will tighten. Super front angulation, long sloping shoulder, with a correct upper arm, lovely angle to pastern and good feet for age. Well ribbed, good depth and already a good width to chest, broad in back. Hindquarters have already a great thickness to thigh, pleasing bend to stifle onto good strong hocks which are well let down. Movement was very true.

2nd Kenyon’s CALLOWDALE TITAN FOR DESQUIRE – Tibetan Mastiff – Very much a baby at just 6mths of age, as expected he is still learning what is expected in the ring, but I much prefer this than a bored statue dog. He pushed 1st place hard with his qualities, head is developing well, large skull with a defined stop, dark eye, broad muzzle with clean lines and black nose. His front is lovely, strong well laid shoulder, straight in front with a nice angle to pastern. Good height to length, strong level topline, rib cage well sprung with good depth to brisket where it meets his elbows. Rear angles are still developing, in stance he didn’t show what he has, but this could be seen on the move.

AV Working Veteran (1)

1st Sobota & Handy’s VITALPARA AMERICAN DREAM AT BENDRAGO – Rottweiler – This 8 year old male is in super condition, hardly any grey at all and rich tan throughout. He has a very pleasing head with calm expression, good skull with medium ear which are carried close to cheek. Good stop, a little round in eye but nice and dark, muzzle is broad and strong. Muscular neck which retains strength onto a super front with well-developed chest. Bone is good throughout, stands straight in front onto compact feet. Liked his length of body which has well sprung rib, with good under carriage. Strong top line. Hindquarters still have muscle and strength, slightly more rear angle to front, but he used them well, and was able to display soundness in all directions in this lovely ring.
