Dorset County Canine Society 14th July 2024 Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at their show. A lovely atmosphere and I hope everyone had a nice day. Thank you to my stewards to keeping the ring running well and to the exhibitors for entering and accepting my decisions with grace. Irish Wolfhound Junior (0,0) Post Grad (0,0) Open (1,1) Rhodesian Ridgeback Special Yearling (2,0) 1 - Holdsworth’s Rozelridge Forever Summer nicely made bitch with lovely head. Good neck into well laid shoulder. Tight in elbow and good bone throughout. Ridge evident and good topline, held on the move. Strong rear construction. Moved well in profile. 2 - Bright & Joy’s Rovigo Argenta Nice bitch, a bit windy today. Moved well in all directions, nice head and well proportioned thought out. Preferred the overall shape of 1 RBOB Graduate (2,0) 1 - Ruse’s Bossington Bonne Carre at Flossfield Nicely balanced bitch, although I would prefer a bit more substance. Pretty head into good neck. Well laid shoulder. Good depth and spring of chest/ribs. Level topline held on the moved. Moved cleanly fore and aft and in profile BOB 2 - Bright & Joy’s Rovigo Argenta Open 1 - Bright & Joy’s Rovigo Argenta Saluki Junior (3,1) 1 - Thomas’ Sincerity Kalimantan Caspar (imp Fin) Lovely hound male with gorgeous head. Strong neck into good shoulder. Nice and tight in front, good depth of chest, strong loin and well muscled throughout. Lovely movement when concentrating, moved cleanly in all directions. 2 - Alecock’s Jarletts Special Lover Pleasing bitch of good proportions, good depth of chest, well laid shoulder. Good bone. Tail carriage a little gay but moved out well in all directions RBOB Post graduate (2,0) 1 - Thomas’ Sincerity Kalimantan Caspar (imp Fin) 2 - Thomas’ Mumtaz Aramis Nice male of good size. Lovely head, masculine without coarseness. Good depth of chest, nice topline. Good muscles and nice rear angulation. Open (3,1) 1 - Thomas’ Sincerity Kalimantan Caspar (imp Fin) BOB & HG2 AVNSC hound Puppy (2,0) 1 - Barbelka Dauntless Spirit (AI) (Norwegian Elkhound) nice square compact example of the breed. Stunning and pretty head with correct ear set. Nice strong neck into well laid shoulders. Nice spring of rib and ribbed well back. Sound front and rear construction. Moved well when concentrating. BPIB & RBOB, PG3 2 - Ruse’s Flossfields All About Olive Baby wire dachshund. Nice head with correct ear set and fall. Good prominent sternum. Ribbed well back. Good topline maintained on the move. Correct front and rear construction. Yearling 1 - Sandells & Lovell’s Packway Blue Moon (Deerhound) Nice dog with plenty of bone throughout. Lovely expression and balanced head. Good neck, into well laid and angulated shoulder. Good depth of chest with good rib and well back. Nice strong loin and rear angulation. Moved super cleanly in all directions. BOB & HG4 Post grad (0,0) Open (1,0) 1 - Barganska’s Cealstan Ancestral Voices of Barbelka (AI) (Norwegian Elkhound) Nice square bitch, soundly made throughout. Lovely head and ear set and use. Nice neck into correct front. Ribbed well back. Sound rear construction. Moved nicely all ways. AV hound Puppy (5,1) 1 - Barbelka Dauntless Spirit (AI) (Norwegian Elkhound) 2 - Barrow’s Rosanka Skye at Meganjin Nice little beagle with lovely head, good dark eye and correct ear set. Nice length of neck into OK shoulder, nice depth of chest ribbed well back. Correct tail set. Good front and rear construction- moved nicely in all directions. Special Yearling (7,1) 1 - Howgate & Hull’s Palmik Turn It On Again JW (Whippet) Nice young male with lovely head. Correct eye shape and ear feel and set. Lovely neck into well laid shoulders. Nice topline, Good depth of chest and ribbed well back. Nice feet all round. Nice and tight throughout on movement. 2 - Forge’s Normpug Roman Holiday Nice tidy young dachshund. Pleasing head with correct eye and eat set and fall. Nice neck into correct front. Good spring of rib and well back. Strong topline, good rear. Maintained everything on the move. Post graduate (4,1) 1 - Steel & Baulch’s Natasha Potters Magic with Moyles Nice male whippet of balanced and earful proportions. Pleasing head with correct ear and nice dark eye. Good neck into sound front. Nice topline and rear construction. Good depth of chest. Moved nicely in all directions. 2 - Ruse’s Bossington Bonne Carre At Fossfeilds Open (5,3) 1 - Forge’s Normpug Apricot Beauty Lovely head, feminine and pretty. Correct eye and ear. Nice neck into good shoulder. Nice prominent sternum, good depth of chest and ribbed well back. Nice rear construction and moved nicely in all directions. 2 - Barganska’s Cealstan Ancestral Voices of Barbelka (AI) (Norwegian Elkhound) Veteran 1 - Chappell’s Nattah Sky’s there Limited At Blueflight 10 year old who defies their age. Lovely movement, everything is still together. Lovely head, good neck into good shoulder. Nice outline with good depth of chest. Good front and rear construction and action on the move. 2 - Baulch’s Whisterfield Je Ne Sais Quoi Pleasing bitch, nice proportions and balanced through out. Good chest depth and neck front and rear. Just out moved by 1 today. Sp Beg Stakes 1 - Moorcroft’s Amorevita Uranus (Mini Schnauzer) Nice little young dog. Well balanced throughout and good overall shape and balance. Moved so nicely in all directions. Alert and carried him self so well. I am a little surprised that he is still in Sp Beginners…. A really quality little dog 2 - Sandells & Lovell’s Packway Blue Moon (Deerhound) Champion stakes 1 - Gauntlett’s Ch Olgivan Show Everyshow Must Go On (Siberian Husky) - won the class on movement, lovely head and expression. Well constructed and beautifully made. Pleasing head into well constructed front, well ribbed and strong across the loin. Good rear construction and nice feet. 2 - Aus Ch Ottawa Right On Quewe (AI) (Imp Aus) Nicely made dog, felt he was a little tired today and this showed in his movement. Nicely proportioned throughout in fabulous coat and condition. Hound Group 1 - Kingsland’s & Steven’s Redcap The Loco Motion With Talbotrise - I just love this little beagle, last time I judged beagles I awarded this young lady the RCC. I just adore her head, the most beautiful expression and dark eye. Correct length and set leathers. Good neck into well laid shoulder, good depth of chest and spring of rib. Short strong loin giving an overall impression of compactness. Moves soundly in all directions 2 - Thomas’ Sincerity Kalimantan Caspar (imp Fin) 3 - Ergis’ Siouxline Mary Rose Dachshund Mini Smooth Haired - Nicely presented hound, prominent breast bone and ribbed well back. Well muscled throughout with correct front and rear angulation. Lovely balanced head with pretty expression. Moved soundly in all directions. 4 - Sandells & Lovell’s Packway Blue Moon (Deerhound) Hound Puppy Group 1 - Chappell’s Blueflight Mystique (Whippet) - lovely outline and topline, pleasing head, correct ear carriage and texture. Graceful neck into well laid shoulders. Lovely depth of chest, strong loin, correct tailset and carriage. Moved soundly in all directions 2 - Kingsland’s Brimbleway Galaxy Bar for Redacp (Beagle) - nicely made hound, beautiful head, dark eye and correct set of leathers and length. Nicely ribbed and well back, strong in loin. Topline level and maintained on the move, correct tailset and carriage. Pleasing mover and covered the ground well. 3 - Barbelka Dauntless Spirit (AI) (Norwegian Elkhound) 4 - Linehan’s Lady Delight of Cork (Dachshund Mini Smooth Haired) - Soundly made little hound, a little unsettled today.
