Mid Herts Gundog Club – 27th October 2024

I am grateful to everyone who took the time and expense to enter, the quality really was outstanding, I would also like to thank my stewards for the day who kept the ring moving smoothly.

Puppy (2, 1)

1St Gilstonia Maggie May, 7 month old bitch, good reach of neck, good spring of rib, plenty of bone, moved well. BPIB

2nd Gilstonia Run Red Rum for Aprilflash, 7 month old dog, litter brother to above, lots to like on this young boy, just lost out to his sister on movement.

Special Yearling (1, 2)

1st Bronnydene Fly Red Kite, 18 month old dog, maturing well for age, lovely head, good shoulders and angulation, well presented.

Post Graduate (1, 1)

1st Cerysan Limited Edition – 2 year old dog, well presented, neck and good shoulders, good rear angulation moved well.

Limit (1,1)

Jutliat Rukester, 8 year old boy, didn't move or look like a Veteran, and he still had that spark of mischief to play up his owner, plenty of bone, good front & moved well.

Open (7,5)

Wow what a class, all shown in superb condition, and placings could easily change on any other day. Several in the class were Veterans and they certainly held their own against the youngsters.

Both 1st and 2nd in this class caught my eye as soon as they entered the ring, and they showed their socks off from the moment they entered the ring and didn’t stop until after they left.

1st Sh Ch Heniveruce King of Brewers for Aprilflash – What a showman, my notes say what a Welsh should be, perfection from head to paw, shown in excellent condition moved with enthusiasm and drive, just didn’t stop showing for his handler. BOB

2nd Sh Ch Mymmsbrook Matador with Bythway JW – recently gain his ‘crown’ and easy to see why, shown in excellent condition just lost out to 1st on movement. RBOB

3. Julita Raindance at Teaselwood
