My thanks go to the society for the invitation to judge at this lovely show, it is well organized and all the committee are welcoming and helpful. Also to Cath, my excellent steward. Finally, a big thank you to everyone who entered, although a lot of absentees on the day, I was still very happy with my entry and especially with my main winners.

1st Turnbull, Clegram, Holligan & Douglas’ Talard She’s Got The Look - 3 yr B. Appealed at first glance with her smart outline and clear merle colour. She has a feminine head which is in proportion to her body. Head is overall of good proportions with well defined stop. Moderate length of neck. She is in very good body condition with balanced angulation. On the move she is effortless, showing off her construction and handled to advantage at the right speed. BOB and Group 1.
Bearded Collie

Graduate (3,2)
1st Grant’s Simmovan Among The Stars Avec Coussiere -16 month B. Liked this young female. Presenting a correct outline. Lovely head, with fairly broad skull and correctly proportioned with muzzle, distinct stop. Eyes set wide and correct shape and size. Good length of neck. Balanced angulation front and rear. Correct tail. Typical movement displayed. A bit out of coat today and obviously not as mature as winner of open at this time.
Open (5,3)
1st Grant’s Coussiere Dancing Queen - 9 year old B. Pleasing outline. Decent head and was OK for width of skull and stop. Eyes correct. Good length to neck. Balanced in angles, although a tad wider set in front which displayed in the movement. Mature in body, well sprung ribs with good depth of chest. Correct tail. Balanced profile movement and accurate rear action. BOB
2nd Ambler’s Thwaitlake All That Glittaz For Jaztech – 4 yr B. Presenting a good outline. Decent head with nice proportions, distinct stop. Good length of neck, well laid shoulders. He has a typical looking head with decent proportions and correct ears. Medium length to neck which was muscular. Another who has balanced angulation. He is a little longer in loin, but good depth to chest and good overall condition. He was not quite as positive on the move as 1, but did put this down to not liking the floor. Sound in all directions.

Neither dog present today seemed impressed by the flooring and I don’t think I’ve seen them today at their best.
1st Gibson’s Wicani The Peacemaker - 2 yr D. Little longer in outline than 1. I felt he had better head properties than 2, with less stop and better proportions of muzzle to skull. He has a good length of neck. Nicely angulated. Difficult to assess movement. Good coat condition. BOB

1st Lewins’ Pedro Zwierz W Dredach - 6 yr D Puli. Black, decent outline. Excellent pigment all through. Head a bit on the larger side and would prefer better proportions. Correct bite. Good length to neck. Correct moderate front angles. Correct set of tail. Rear angles are acceptable. On the move, in profile he displays breed typical short stepping movement.
